I am doing my PhD in astrophysics today in India, due to the shows hosted by Neil, Stephen Hawkings and Carl Sagan that I watched growing up. Today watching one of those men talk about India's moon landing is a whole different feeling.

That kind of mentality is why there are those issues. Space is like an entire ocean, and the earth is just an island. We have already explored this Island and that's why we are wasting time in such petty issues while there is entire Ocean to be explored and examined.

It's refreshing to finally see Neil talking about the lunar cold traps and the water there.
And I was very pleased to see one of the anchors mention rocket fuel.
People have been talking about water in the lunar cold traps since India's Chandrayaan-1 found evidence of massive ice deposits there in 2010.
It is delta V, the change in velocity needed, that drives the exponent in the rocket equation. Lunar ice is a potential propellant source not at the bottom of earth's 11.2 kilometer/second gravity well. It would give a major military and commercial advantage to the power that controls this.
Former NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine was aware of this. Look for his essay "Why The Moon Matters". I was very pleased when Biden kept the lunar exploration goals set by Bridenstine. Developing the moon should be a bipartisan goal.
