It's refreshing to finally see Neil talking about the lunar cold traps and the water there. And I was very pleased to see one of the anchors mention rocket fuel. People have been talking about water in the lunar cold traps since India's Chandrayaan-1 found evidence of massive ice deposits there in 2010. It is delta V, the change in velocity needed, that drives the exponent in the rocket equation. Lunar ice is a potential propellant source not at the bottom of earth's 11.2 kilometer/second gravity well. It would give a major military and commercial advantage to the power that controls this. Former NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine was aware of this. Look for his essay "Why The Moon Matters". I was very pleased when Biden kept the lunar exploration goals set by Bridenstine. Developing the moon should be a bipartisan goal.

When he said if you're feeling male you should wear a muscle shirt I knew he was a supergenius
The Kennedy speech always gives me goosebumps and gets me back to working on a tough day..
This is so incredible! Congrats to India!!!

We need more people like Neil . He understands people of color achievements.
making it about race, ew
Why are you making this about colour?
We Indians are very diverse and have all different shades of skin tones, from as light skinned as caucasians to as dark skinned as Africans so please don't try to fit us into that white, black, brown, etc category
Why is it a skin colour issue?
he's non binary
India will remain be united as long as foreign powers keep their nose out of our domestic issues and let us live peacefully.
@pdxcarlykAfghan and Iran girls say hi!
@pdxcarlyk Don't you guys shoot kids in schools?
@pdxcarlykI don't know what you have been told about us. I belong to a middle class family of a tier 2 city. My sister enjoy as much freedom as I do. My parents object only when she stays outside after 10 at night. In villages and less develop areas things will obviously be different. Also depends on what religion you belong to. Like Hindus are pretty chill nowadays but Muslims are complete opposite.
India will stay united as long as Sanghis keep their dirty gaze away from the constitution. No one from outside can break India, only hate mongerers from within can.
@pdxcarlykYou're confusing Muslim countries with India, Women here have as much freedom as men, probably even more, both in law and in society.
Great to see fellow Indians take a break from Cricket and celebrate a historic success on a very different pitch, great times ahead 🇮🇳💙🙏
I'm from India and I'm a Great fan of Neil Tyson, What an Intellectual Man and a Great Speaker. Every word he speaks is Pure words of Wisdom, I would sit there litening to him all day and still never get bored.
Wisdome comes with accepting.....Neil's email handle doesnt say @Blackpower or @americabelongstoblacks etc....India is a secular country and will ALWAYS remain so.....but your thinking doesn't reflect that!!!! just think about it
@@smoothrx69also Neil isn't religious. These right wing dimwits would be incensed if they'd ever known him well.
That is what educated nations appreciate other's accomplishments...Being a pakistan i had felt ashamed when Fawad choudhry, then minister of science and technology of Pakistan had mocked India on the failure of their first mission...
it was chandryaan 2..it wasnt complete fail too.pakistans dont know that ...its orbitor is still active and sending data...
and its funny how pakistan never launced a satellite themselves and mocking others
Congrats to India for taking 4th place in the race to the moon, and 1st place in the race to the moon's south pole.
There are more things that UNITE us than divide us. There are plenty. 🇮🇳 🇺🇸 . Jai Hind.
You mean multipolar, I would like to believe.
Thank you chat gpt
Why do you write like that?
please tell me they're not gonna mess with the moon now!!! imagine that's what makes it shine and there will no longer be a moon in the sky ugh

India brings peace for mankind. Proud of you India and all Indians ❤❤❤ love from France.
Props to Today media for not trying to pull India unlike BBC NEWS instead be respectful and inquisitive. Much love from India❤❤
JAI HIND. Proud to be an INDIAN 🇮🇳.
Old school black Americans especially their academic elites are very pro India. I don’t think Indians realize this but from days of WEB DuBois in early 1900s, black American press was only pro India media in entire western hemisphere that was intent on portraying India as primitive etc. For them seeing Indian success is very gratifying. I hope we Indians are cognizant of their love and historical support.
Yeah absolutely right❤
I am form India and very happy for chandrayan 3 success but I also love JFK, s speech
Great respect for Neil. Always admired him for his simplest way of explaining complex cosmic stuff.
on god, these other experts are worried about sounding smart and using the biggest words they can think of, this guy explaining is easy to understand and he does it with humour also
He lost all credibility and respect after the gender coment where he reduced everyone to a feeling regarding how we want to dress and makeup each day.
Wow. ❤ greets from India to this show and that astrophysicist. ❤
Congratulation ISRO and India. Great technology and greatest mind in the world.

Boy, this is extraordinary for India 🇮🇳 🎉
I really love Neil deGrasse Tyson,
He also seems to admire India & it's diversity.
Love ❤ to see that 😊
If only he'd follow the evidence and go vegan.
@@Spock_Rogers do you eat avacados?
Avocados grow on trees which capture CO2 (greenhouse gas) and produce oxygen.
Well-managed avocado plantations are sustainable and unproblematic.
The avocado boom has helped many communities increase their living standards.
A single avocado requires 140-272 litres of water. The same amount of beef requires 2,315 litres of water, pork 900 litres, chicken 650 litres, butter 833 litres.
Yeah!!! Gotta love how they treat black folk!!!!
@@Spock_Rogers Majority of Indian Hindus eat Meat .
india is the second greatest space power right now, also first country to achieve the impossible, landing on moon's south pole. it is exponentially more difficult than, sending human into space or building space labs, thats why no country has ever achieved it. and im proud that india decided to choose this challenge and make a statement, the era of india has arrived. the east is rising. imagine india has half the budge of NASA, indians would have a base on mars already.
Hope navika watch this and learn!
