    I think this bit at 1:30 was a game changer for me. I'd never made that connection and was struggling with the use of 아서/어서 because it didn't feel natural for some reason. I think I'll be able to create sentences using this grammatical structure now. Thank you, Professor Yoon!

      되어서 can be contracted to 돼서. Generally, contracted forms are more often used in casual style, and the original forms are used in more formal situations.

      of course he is korean he, is living in america now as a korean professor in IOWA university. that can be the reason.
