Your tip to translate it as "A, so B" instead of "B, because A" or "because of A, B" to avoid confusion because of word order is so clever! For me, it also helps that 서 sounds like 'so' anyway. I feel like this definitely helps me to create sentences with it at a faster pace. Also, your way of explaining the distinction between the two is so clear - I feel like I understand these forms better than ever now! 감사합니당~

Yup!!! In class, many students switched reason and result because of the word order difference in Korean and English… and I started emphasizing what ~서 is originated from ☺️
@@KoreanJream Yes. For example, "Because it's raining, I wore a raincoat" and "I wore a raincoat because it's raining" are the same but in English the second one is more natural yet the order of the first is more like Korean. That's where I think it gets confusing and your explanation makes it easier. 감사합니다.

maybe a superfluous etymological question but what came first 그래서 or the 아서/어서 ending? the chicken or the egg? ^^
'그렇다'라는 단어가 존재하니까 '아서/어서' 처음 생겼고 엔딩은 추가된 생각 했어요
네, 맞아요!!! 👍 옛날 표현 ‘그리하여서’가 ‘그래서’의 어원이에요. ‘그리하여서’는 요즘 ‘그렇게 해서’랑 똑같아요!!! You guessed it correctly! The old expression of 그리하여서 (today’s equivalent is 그렇게 해서) is the origin of 그래서. 👏 I just put it this way to help students remember new connective endings by associating to its related transition words they already know without going deeper into more etymolocial explanation 😃

Both could work and are correct, but 배가 아파서 회사에 못 가요 sounds more neutral and natural. Because ~(으)니까 is subjective reasoning, it could possibly sound too strong or unnatural in certain contexts! 저도 항상 감사합니다!!! 😊

안녕하세요 선생님 can you please help me to solve one confusion i had learned more korean grammar from you about 으니까 and 어서/아사 감사합니다 but as i had understand that 니까 is always used with suggest and advice yes ? And past too but in that case it mean "when " yes?
But some time i found little more different in the case of 니까 which make confusion for example 날씨가 좋으니까 기분이 좋아요 and 치뮈가 같으니까 서로 친해질 수 있어요 as i read this that last 좋아요 and ㄹ/을 수 있다 is not suggest and past but also why 니까 is right so will you make me clear about it 선생님
