You cannot out psychologize the Bible for God not to throw you into hell for all eternity. In other words, you cannot come up with a good enough excuse here and now, so you will not be able to on judgment day. If you say you did not want to be born, God is going to say you should’ve been born again, that means become a Christian so that’s not gonna work. And there are no other excuses try to think of one. So now you know for the first time in your life, that the Bible is smarter than you and it is a steel trap, smarter than all of mankind, What should you do then? So at least investigate and look to see that these things are true, because right now you just learned the Bible is smarter than you, and you will be accountable for your life on judgment day before God!

I may be slightly late but I've come with my condolences. But yeah I'm here by chance as i was looking for a doors song I haven't actually found yet, someone in my college listened to it regularly almost every other day, and i remember it's name was something like "midnight man" but i just can't find it. I did find this old song with a name similar to one of a relatively new j-pop song "light my fire" so i came to check if this was an inspiration, it probably wasn't now that I'm hearing it

10 years ago from today : My father was found dead inside his room and things since then hasnt been the same. My dad is the only reason why I even listen to the Doors in the first place and also reason why classic rock is my all - time favorite genre of music that I ever bother to listen to . It's strange that he died exactly on same day that Jim Morrison had his birthday on ( and same day that John Lennon was killed ) . RIP pops 😥😞
SO SORRY about your dad. I know what it feels like. My mom died in 2004. I lost BOTH of my parents when that happened
@@lisavaughn7817 I do deeply appreciate your condolences : my father was an huge influential when it came to " my taste in music " . I enjoyed listening to radio with him growing up as an kid when he was still alive and helped introduced me to alot of classical rock groups . My mom ( whose still alive ) is also a big reason why im more into " rock music " then pop crap that you'll hear now . He did drugs unfortunately, and also drank alot which cause him to die at early age ; he was on an waiting list to have a liver transplant but pass on before they found an match for him . Very sad ...
Commiserations for your dear old dad. He would be proud that you are listening to his music. Take care and I hope you continue to enjoy this timeless, amazing song!
@@godofrock6985 Yes, very sad. God bless x
I am very sorry for your father's passing. It's sad to know he was unable to see there's better reasons to live for, than risk losing them. At his best, he gave you life and your love of Rock. And maybe other great things that are helping you cope. Music is a beautiful way to enjoy life's memories, it can take you back to a happier time. I know grieving has no time limits. Sometimes putting your sad feelings, about losing a part of you too soon into a different view, can totally make all the difference, if you are trying to fill that empty feeling. I had to do it because I ran out of tears, but still felt empty from losing my Mom in 2007. I created a new happiness from all the energy I lost missing her. I decided to bring her back into my life. If I had somewhere to go, I would say in my mind "ok Mom we're going to ........" I would ask her if she was with me to let me see a Cardinal fly by", within minutes I would see one, and be filled with happiness. Cardinals are Messengers from loved ones in heaven. You don't have to believe it, but it's written everywhere.
I hope you find a way in the future to find happiness through your grief.
I saw the Doors in concert in 1968 and will never forget it. I was 18 and a farm girl going in and a free spirit of the world coming out. The Doors remain one by of my top three bands ever.
Who are the other two?
What a time period to be 18! I'm jealous 🤣
❤️
Saw the Doors at the Hollywood Bowl and they sang/played Light My Fire - absolutely horrible - no sound stage...
Beautiful ❤
This version is the BEST version! They rarely ever play this version on radio. I guess it has something to do with time, the limited time in which they play each song. Still, however, I would rather hear this version than any other. The combo organ solo and the guitar solo afterwards is the BEST part of this song. You just CANNOT leave those out! I get chills from those parts every time!
Agreed!!
This now generation has nothing on ours
I can vividly remember they play most of the time a short version without the instrumental "middle" part. I can't understand why so I agree with your anxiety.....
Yeah, unless you had a good album rock station, they would play the short Ed Sullivan version for pop radio, and even more unforgivably, start talking over the end and such to fade out the song and sell you some of Honest John's used cars. That's when I would fantasize about sending some paisanos to the radio station to "fix" the problem.
this is the version I heard on the radio, I was straight up enchanted and had to ask my mom the name of the song bcs I... was born in 2007 and did not grow up with these songs lol
Whatever happens, this solo is one of the reasons life on earth was worth it. I feel like even if it all goes back to being infinite amounts of lifeless space and matter, at least some creatures on a pale blue dot got to experience being alive like this. Thanks to all musicians out there who keep making life not a mistake, as Nietzsche would put it.
It sounds like your on the same drugs and Jim. But I agree with you
I wasn's on drug's or. any thing. But the sound took me away from all my hang up's.

When this song came out in the 1960's I was a teen. I was invited to a wedding of a relative of an acquaintance at a lodge in the Los Angeles hills. He drove the two of us there. The composition and musicality on this piece is excellent. Not to mention the amazing psychedelic sound of this too.
One of the Best Songs ever recorded and maybe not up there with Bach or Chopin but nevertheless a great musical score.
I first heard this song in February 1968 at FT. Polk LA, in my AIT (Advanced Infantry Training) Barracks, I can still remember lying on the upper bunk in Wooden WWII Barracks and thinking …wow this song is amazing and I cannot say how many times I have heard this song in 54 years , but its been more time than I have been alive in years
Agree totally. Was in SEA in Air Force when this came out. Loved the psychedelic lyrics.
An incredible plethora of alpha music, unlike other times. And I lived in the early 50s on rock, blues, jazz, classical music and a variety of ethnic music; but this piece melds all music into a simple melange. It's like they aren't imitating anyone else.
Brings back memories of when I was an 11 year old kid during the carefree Summer of 1967. 7th grade was ahead and music was becoming a lingua franca and common denominator for the young. Long live the Baby Boomers and their legacies!
Same memories except I was a year behind you. We listen to this music on our transistor radios. Very special memories indeed

I was 14 years old when this song was released. When I heard it on my Dad's transistor radio, I knew the music world changed immediately. For me, The Doors through the Beatles and the Stones into the same closet as Elvis and the Every Brothers.
Those of us who were around when this song hit the airwaves will never forget, RIP. Jon Finley USMC. Batangan peninsula Vietnam 1968, my friend.
Salute tp your friend RIP
We're you in the 1st Marine Division, Heard that unit is the best within the corps
Timeless. If it were in a time capsule on Mars it would STILL be outstanding as it was then!
When ‘Light My Fire’ came out in 1967, my elementary school friends and I were too young at the time to go to rock concerts, alas, so we often learned all we could about The Doors and other epic bands. We loved the ATTITUDE of Jim, Ray, Robby, and John. They seemed to wear their “game faces” and rarely smiled. Check out Morrison’s gaze and seated posture on the reverse album photo of “The Doors 13” (compilation album release in late 1970). Then try that pose on occasion in real-life... ;)
I remember exactly where i was the first time i heard this!! It was a Sunday afternoon in 1967 the long version was played on am radio in Philly i was 18 already drafted
I wish I was around at that time I was born in 2008
One of my favorite bands of all time love the creative music really defines LA scene in late 60's
One of the all time best Doors song.
Oh Yeah It Sure Is InDeed 🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵
Dude, one of the all-time best songs by any rock group.
I heard the line “Girl we couldn’t get much higher” and automatically fell in love with Jim Morrison. Beautiful voice! ❤❤❤
When a song's title permeates Popular Culture, the song is iconic.
this song has an energy that few new songs have nowadays

I don't think the song has aged very well.
@@BitmapFrogs how so
JIM MORRISON from ENGLAND

I'm Italian but I perfectly understood what you said. And you are right
My all time favourite tune. Pure skill and class that doesn't age.
This SONG WILL PUT YOU IN YOUR PLACE IN LIFE AS YOU KNOW IT ! AND BEHOND ! AWSOME ! PIECE OF HISTORY !!
I dig THE DOORS
This is a song that speaks to all generations.
Jim Morrison and the doors are the classic dope shit. No body plays guitar like that now a days
This is a masterpiece. An all time classic piece of music. Peerless and timeless. Jim Morrison's brilliant vocals, with the late Ray Manzarek's great, great organ solo and Robby Kreiger;s excellent guitar. This is my favourite version of Light My Fire, I prefer it to 7 inch.
Essa música é uma obra de arte.

I'm only 20 years old and i listen to this song at least 20+ plus a week. My dad used to have The Doors on repeat when I was younger, I thank him for it!!!
When the very first song you ever write becomes a #1 hit ( written by guitarist Robbie Krieger ).
All it takes is one
Jim added the funeral pryer part I heard before but couldn't be 100% sure man
It's Riders on the Storm actually
Drop that; enjoy music
Stop fucking around
One of the all-time masterpieces. But we already knew that. As good as rock will ever get. RIP Jim
Great song. Great band. I played it the year it came out in 1967. And l've played it every year since. Right up to last night. I'm 69 now and still love it.
