- In this video I did a review on the Shine Armor Product and I was not impressed with this product !!!.It says it is a waterless wash for your car but never ever clean your car with Shine Armour before washing your car first ,because if you do it will damage the paint on the car.
I wouldn't recommend this product because all their claims are fake advertisements ,photoshopped before and after.
I bought this product to review it seeing as it is advertised everywhere and honestly the car does look shiny but you can use any product to get your car looking shiny , but for using it as a waterless wash its a big no.So will I buy it again ? ...NO

This product is mainly for keeping your car cleaner in the long run your supposed to wash the car first than afterwards apply the product its supposed to keep your car cleaner for a longer period of time

I would hope no one would just spray that stuff on their car while it's dirty.If they do they need to be slapped!! I mean that's just common sense to wash your car first. Great video!!

Idk I love this stuff and recommend to everyone bc out of all the “waterless wash” products this one is superior imo. I’ve used it on a pollen covered car in a pinch and it came out looking fantastic but if dirty dirty I always wash my car first

Home Depot has it on clearance for $5. I can't go wrong. I guess. One odd thing, 2 different boxes. 1 box has a pic of the liquid and cloth, another box has only liquid in the pic. 2 different boxes, but same contents inside. Maybe just updated packaging?
I Used this product, not as a dry wash but after washing thoroughly first.
It's a great alternative to traditional car wax as it's easier to apply and wipe off and leaves a great shine but I won't buy again as car wax is cheaper and the results aren't that great for the added price compared to turtle wax for example

You are right about cleaning vehicle first. Just watching you put it on you were doing it correctly if put on properly amazing product for the cost and simplicity.
You should remove the small plastic strips with the washing instructions from your microfiber cloths, these could scratch your paint.

I use it.. although I do wash my cars first.. it's an easy to use product nd amazing finish... I did notice that you were applying it incorrectly.. which may be why you didn't get the results.

I wash it use a chamois to dry it then use the Shine Armor comes out well, you are using incorrectly, just do small sections, apply with a damp microfiber then dry off straight away, found it good. Mick Limerick

I used this product on 2 cars twice...In other words 4 applications and I love it. I will buy it again...I noticed in the video, the people were not using the cloths that came with the spray. If you follow directions it will be the best shine you ever saw...Not only that, it lasted more than 1 year between applications in the hot Texas sun...
I would never use in on a dirty car though...Wash the car first, then follow directions to the letter...You will be amazed...Those who don't like is are not following directions.
Yeah but it's cheaper cause of how small the bottle is. It's tiny. It's literally the worst detail spray I've ever seen. It does piss all. People think.oooo it makes the car a little shiney amazing.

Have use this product a lot and it work great for me I use it right when I wash my car clean then I use it and let me tell you is perfect it keep my car clean for weeks no water spot nothing

I spray it on my car already. But after 2 weeks. This coat will be mix the dirt on the car. It’s sticky. Do you know how can I clean it again please? I tried to use water to wipe but it’s hurting paint. So could you tell me how to take of this layer of shine armour coating please????
I thought this product was for hiding/removing scratches from the car not for cleaning?!
Visibly the shine armor side was so much faster shedding water. Wasn't even close.

This shine Armor has been hitting Australian shore now too, SO MANY people are NOT happy, half the time the bottles are either broken, or one is missing from the order or customers have been getting stung i think one said $54AUD just for ONE bottle. Plus the company does not return emails or messages.
Just like one of those make a quick dollar and run kind of company.

In the video ads, it's not actually a dirt. It is showing that it's not shiny and when you apply it, it will go back to shiny.

You should try it actually using the instructions on the bottle. Not spray the whole car and then vome back and re dry the whole car lol. Bottle says do a small spot and then whipe away before moving to the next spot.

Its really a detailing product and is applied after you have washed and cleaned the car.
It’s a tiny bottle for starters I mean WTF 🤣🤣. It’s been heavily advertised and that always is a big warning bell in itself !!! I use Williams and it’s in a massive bottle, does the same thing but goes further. Totally agree with you DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!

To be fair, you didn't follow the directions. Small areas, wet microfibre, use product on the cloth and the car. Wipe with clean dry microfibre towel "before" it dries and moving on to another area.

I have tried it after i read a review so went out and brought it well i cant notice any difference so i will go back using my boss gloss
Honestly I been using it and it gives my car layer of smooth feeling and water doesn't stay on my car really.. it's totally different when u used it on your toyota. One time I spilled the shine armor in my kitchen tiles, I wiped and cleaned it. And I almost slipped and fell since it was so smooth.

Go grab a bottle of chemical guys Butterwax and apply that as your last touch instead. its easy to use and in my opinion, they have the widest variety of the best products ive used! Cheers and good luck

@@CobraKaiNoMercy do you have any suggestions on what to purchase for a scratch & scrape to the hood? I was considering buying shine armor. A tool scratched my car removing heavy ice and snow ;(.
@@anitaknight3915 Are you talking about Shine Armor swirl remover? For that to work you also need a machine buffer, a polish compound and pads depending on how deep the scratch is. Shine Armor swirl remover is also not that good...and it's expensive (your local O'Reillys can sell you a better compound) You may want to consider a professional detailer for that if the scratch is too deep.
When I lived in Germany, they had a spray over there that removed ice. You should consider ordering a de-icer spray to avoid the problem in the future 😉.
@@CobraKaiNoMercy thank you so much for the tip and I actually just found that out early today about the spray and that u can even make your own 😉. Lesson learned😭. The sad thing is I used I snow & ice tool remover and it malfunctioned got flimsy and left some lines on my hood. I did use a scratch remover and it did get most of it out and decreased the others. From far away you cannot tell but up close there were a few long lines that are bit visible still. We've gotten two bad ice and snow storms back to back ughhh. I will be extra careful now in the future.

Got to remember though it’s only a quick detailer. I has some protection to it. Wash car before hand. Quick detail is a gloss booster and can make paint feel smooth. To get best results out of any product you need a proper wash. Pre wash, decontamination, snow foam, then make sure all bugs and tar removed. Once that done them 2 bucket wash, then I snow foam again. Now my car has a clean surface for products to work there best. Then I’d quick detail. Then I add wax. Detail and wax by almost company you do a panel at a time. I’ve ordered some shine armour to test as I’ve been told some good things from actual car detailing places. So I’m gonna test the product. But yeah never do a waterless wash just wiping crap into the paint creating swirl marks and marring
I know but the ad is so misleading especially when they show that scratched up corvette, so as it is the better way to do it the ad tells people they can just spray it right on there and wipe it.
@@howtofixyourtech9945 yeah I know, unfortunately all companies tell a miss leading information. Like wax protection for 3 months. People use car day to day be getting a month if that. Ceramic foam. Ceramic needs to be cured not spray on wash off so can’t be ceramic. Some ceramics can’t even cure in the outside have to be indoors etc. There’s misleading information everywhere. I know this one is obvious and big miss leading but there’s also other companies that advertise waterless wash which is wipe on wipe off which creates swirls and marring and even scratches. Unfortunately everything in the world tells miss leading comments. News only tells you what you want to hear. Government tells us what we want to hear. Like news using a picture of someone’s car saying they at a car meet whilst in lockdown when he was at home with his kids, bare in mind his car is sponsored and well known in the uk. Unfortunately best way to test a product is just by buying it and using it. I don’t read descriptions or even reviews. As some people might wash a car properly and get good results where some might wash with a hose pipe to a brush and get not so good results. 🤷♂️

Sadly not all people know that using this for example a waterless wash is a bad idea. It is just so easy to get scratches and swirls from this product.

The fact is if your not clay baring followed by machine polishing your gonna be adding swirl marks/marring to your car. Because there’s still dirt even after decontamination wash hence why we clay bar after washing cause the clay still picks up dirt. That’s the only way we know the paint work is contaminate free ready for machine polishing. But obviously theres ways to prevent less swirl marks and there’s people who use one bucket and create a ton swirl marks. I’ve virtually impossible to do a swirl mark / marring free wash without machine polishing. You can do scratch free washes. However any detailer will tell you your gonna make swirl marks no matter what when washing. It’s just ways to make it the least amount as possible. You can say 99% free cause garentee there’s a bit dirt grime somewhere on the car your rubbing in 🤷♂️. That’s just down to the person washing the car. But it’s very painful to see people just wiping a car down or using brushes connect to hose pipe. Using road side car washes it’s painful to watch. The joys of having a detailer wash the car is the least damage possible will be done and that they are using good products to prevent as much stuff as possible from happening to the paintwork and giving car protection. Obviously you can do swirl/marring wash free if car has a good ceramic coat on it

I did my new Honda last august. It looks like it was just polished. We have had blizzards and 6 inchs of snow. The snow slides off the car with ease. Wiped bird sh/t off it with a paper towel. Mud etc just washes off.

Well put it on like crazy till it warms up all gone, let it dry for a bit like 20 minutes. It won’t work if you scrub it all off right off the hope then you washed it off with water. Let it sit and sink in.
I asked a paint specialist at a high end smash repair place about paint protection, especially so-called ceramic coatings. He reckons they're all a con and they only make your car shiny. Personally, I have used a product called Auto Glaze (I think it's just called "Glaze" now), for years. It has tiny beads of glass in it, that make the paint seem shinier than the windows, especially on dark colours. Using that, my last car's paintwork lasted about 15 years, with the car outside for most of that time.
That's not a ceramic coating, spray. They do offer it but this purple bottle is not it

I work in a auto body shop and I have used it on some customers car’s and it is a good yes the car gets washed
I bought a bottle of this stuff and my car was cleaned prior to using it and it was a waste of time and money. It was just some spray and I put it on like the tiny instructions stated and wiped it off and it left some film streaks and it didn't really do any difference with the water and it didn't do anything extra for protection. For me it was a waste of dollars and sense.
I have a bottle that I haven't used yet! I'll use it after I wash.

I was wondering why you got any thumbs down at all and then at that moment I realized 2 things some of your thumbs down was from people that promote the product and was more than likely paid for it (literally paid $). The other reason why I think you could of got a thumbs down was because of your presentation
Take this how you like but its just honest feed back from some one that just wanted to know the product before I bought it (I'm not going to buy it thank you by the way for saving me time and money)

This for me is by far the easiest to use and best bang for buck paint protectant on the market. Surely there are better products but they are way more finicky and expensive

They messed up from the start, you put a 3x3 area at a time and DON'T let it dry. they applied product on the entire car then went and wiped it off.. Did it wrong

Hi. I tried that stuff as well. It actually do clean car but still effecct is not so super. Car is getting dirty pretty quick. So yep I just would prefer to use usual car wash for same amount of money. Could be used as a quick detailer when you need to show car before selling it... Price/performance is not so super

The most important thing is the durability.. These water tests are useless.. The product can only work if it has the same effect after a year. I have seen many different Paint protections and a lot of them are garbage. I think your best option to protect your paint, keeping it smooth is claying it carefully and giving it a nice polish by hand.. Just a standard wax every 2nd wash will do the trick. ( I have over 20 years Detailing experience. )
Ok, so after resisting for a year I caved in and bought this Shine Armor stuff. I have an Obsidian black Mercedes Benz and usually polish it every 3mths with Meguiar's.
Washed the car in the shade (Never wash/polish your car in the direct sunlight) with a reputable car wash solution, dried with chamois cloth as usual. Read the instructions on the bottle twice, used the supplied cloths and applied as directed. When I was finished, it looked exactly the same as using the regular polish and the water test showed that the water ran off the car just the same as it did with regular polish.
My opinion is that if you never, or rarely polish your car and want a quick shine, you may be surprised by the result, it looks good don't get me wrong. But for anyone who regularly polishes/waxes their car, to me there was no noticeable difference at all. Again, just my opinion but not worth buying. Take a couple of hours to wash and polish/wax your car with a known, reputable product every couple of months.
A somewhat unreliable test really. I'd be curious what finish was on the Toyota before the tapeline was applied, particularly in relation to the water side. I'm still using AutoGlym Super Resin polish, I think it's a great product. I did a 50/50 on an untreated bonnet and the Shine Armor seemed to yield very similar results to the AG. I decided at that point to use Shine Armor as a quick detailer only and I find it to be an excellent product for that purpose. Some quick detailing sprays will leave streaks etc, Shine Armor does not. I agree with you when you say do not use it on a dirty car but I think it has earned a place in my detailing bag.

Sorry but if you use as directed it does work alot better. So many things done wrong but hey to each their own. I use on my car every other week on a car that has hard 145000miles I'm complimented daily on how looks and I don't use wipers much in rain ,it just as good if not better than rainx on glass just sayin and I use nothing else but shine armor

My honest review...Shine armour is adequate at best...more of a quick detailer...does give a solid to good shine, but is the poorest quick wax I ever applied...faded away and showed zero beading within 6 days...should be $6 a bottle imho

Let me tell you something, there's a cure time with shine armor quick coat. You're not applying the product as they recommend to. When I apply the treatment it's lasting several months. Soft shampoo for washing and it's ok.

Excellent!!! I detailed for years at my own shop, mechanic shops and body shops and I often wondered if consumers actually correctly clean the cars surfaces properly forever. So thank you for helping all that do not correctly clean there cars surfaces. 3 buckets method is crucial always after a thorough pressure rinse, preferably with a hot water pressure washer. Then and only then should you ever apply any protectants to its surface. Cheers mates!

When the TV add States get a second bottle for free just pay a separate fee that is a red flag for a scam to me
Your "apprentice" shouldn't be wearing a watch, that should of been your first instruction, regardless of which hand you use to wash a car, we generally change hands depending on which part of the car your touching.
Using this as a final step after washing your car is more effective, not as an actual car wash. I wish they wouldn’t advertise as a car wash, it’s really not. Manufacturers over hype their stuff and then it’s a let down when you see it’s limitations. Good enough to advertise it as a shine, not a wash.

you are supposed to spray x3 times on the cloth, then 3x times on the car!
Then! You are supposed to wipe the sprayed cloth gently over the sprayed area and wipe it with the dry cloth immediately. Or else the shine armor will dry up and the liquid will get way to soggy to wipe.

Okay so first of all your car is already clean and shiny so I assume it is pretty new. I have a 15 year old Pontiac Wave and have always kept it clean and waxed periodically. After 15 years it will fade so maybe this would be okay for this. Also you don't spray it on the cloth you spray it on the vehicle.
Instructions say to spray onto cloth as well as the surface to be cleaned with the surface being no more than (Approx. 3"×3")
I have used this product for 2 years now and its great overall, This video is not relective of what it can do. If you show an older car paint then apply it will see the results, Both cars here seem very new so you are not going to see much difference in this product so not a good comparison review here
