I got to drive in one of these when I was about 12 or 13 years old our neighbor across the street bought one in Germany and sent it over it was a cool . Probably around 1978 or 79
I saw you commented on another 904 video. You must like them as much as me.The blue car is very cool, but I don't know if it's a one off or what the deal is.
@@christophermichael.w.7577 Hey Chris. If it's the car I'm thinking of the blue car was a study by a European Design School. Just one made. Yeah, I'm super keen. Would take a few years to save but very cool machine. Do you go for a near replica like the UK ones (check out the Forums) or a true Restomod like this one. Both awesome though when you add it all up, you could have a GT3 for similar money.
Absolutely stunning. What’s the Budget to build a reasonable replica from Beck. I don’t want a race car but a street legal car that I can track day. What do you think I’d need to have to do so. And if I start a build I’d love to get in touch with you if that’s possible. For example... why not use a 987.2 manual cayman engine. I have one punched out to four litres. The 904 has been my dream Porsche
I heard kit prices from 40-60k. I've seen used becks in good shape, finished for 65k. Not sure if that's all current but just what I've seen browsing around. Beautiful cars! My dream car too.
$81,900 for the std body currently + options. This widebody is $10,000 extra all sans drivetrain. I have one on order. Forget using water-cooled, too complicated and expensive to change everything. A nice engine like this one in the video is simple, and all that's needed. Chuck put a 997 water-cooled GT3 in one, but it has tubes and hoses everywhere... doesn't fit the vehicle IMO. Keep in mind the weight of the car... it's more than a 1200 lbs less than a 987.2. Massive overkill power doesn't always translate into driving excitement.
Would you please pronounce Porsche as a two-syllable name. You should know better. How would you feel if people pronounced your name continually ans "Mathis"?
Pretense really doesn't enter into the issue. It's a family's name and many people do know how to correctly pronounce it. If not, that's OK. Just be respectful of them and listen to the correct pronunciation. It doesn't matter if the name is Ford, or Edsel, or Tucker, Chrysler, Chevrolet, or even Porsche. They're all family's names, just a bit more familiar to the public than most.
@Joshua Dowling Giggles are good! ;^) I'm not sure when I'll be back to Pittsburgh but I'll just have to "tip one" in your honor here in Sonoma County, about an hour north of San Francisco. Folks around here have been known to produce a bottle or two of wine & champagne occasionally.
For god’s sake please pronounce the city of Detroit properly as Day’twa... please spell color with a U. You two syllable guys are in every video and you have probably never even owned a Porsch.
They are needed to accommodate wider tires. Back in the day they were skinny. I understand being a purist, and I for the most part I am, but wanting a 904 would be a pipe dream if not for the Beck 904.
why the intentional disrespect? It is his family name. if you truly respect his creations and designs, why not say his name correctly? if you met Dr Porsche, would you shake his hand and still call him a porch ?
People more worried about the way the guy syllabizes PORSCHE than the actual car itself... typical dreamers of the world today lol. John is a great guy and has a great car.
I would love to own a car like this. I don't mind that it's a reproduction. I don't really care how other people value cars.I would probably drive it everyday.
Very cool video and very cool car. Beck repro's are top notch. That said, if you are a Porsche fan please, please, please pronounce Porsche with two syllables. Thanks and God bless!

This and the Porsche 917 are the post beautiful cars ever built. Beck has built a masterpiece of masterpieces!
Super KOOL
Looks like a beaut homage!
WOW! This is stunning. I know what I'm saving for now!

It is called Porsch“e“ with an e in the end and it sounds a little bit like Porsch „a“
Boutique built cars are the only way to experience this without crashing museum survivors. I highly recommend them if you have the means. 😅
Such a beautiful car!!!
With a power to weight ratio of about 1:5 it’s acceleration should be mind blowing.

PORSH.
Super cool story.
Greetings, What tire size are you using? Thanks from Corona CA.
😍😍😍😍😍
I second that. Mispronouncing is down right disrespectful.
And, he claims to be German. German flag next to his name and Porch!
Would you please pronounce Porsche as a two-syllable name. You should know better. How would you feel if people pronounced your name continually ans "Mathis"?
you must be fun at parties 😒

I pronounce his name, Nazi.
Repeat with me- “Por-sha”, “Por-sha”, “Por-sha”. It’s a last name. Pronunciation matters.
Pour-Sha
more money than class, cant even say the name correctly. that car has lost the 904 apperance , rear wheel arches way to big.
I bet he can pronounce moron. He's heard it often.

Porsche maybe this guy should ask the creator how to pronounce their name !!!
Porsche is pronounce with two syllables… “Po-wersh”. Say it right, ferchristsakes! Jaysuz!!
You're on drugs.
Whatever who cares? While you are bullying him because of a pronunciation. He owns the car 😅.
why the intentional disrespect? It is his family name. if you truly respect his creations and designs, why not say his name correctly? if you met Dr Porsche, would you shake his hand and still call him a porch ?
İs this a kit car or factory made replica car?
very very beautyfull. i‘m looking for a used Beck 904 to buy but there is nothing to find. if anybody nows something let me know.

Not to mention, the 904 looks !!! Nothing else looks even close to it!! Its an original race car!!
Soooo much money that this guy has but little history does he know about this car and family of race history.
coolest car ever!! groeten uit België
Love it !
Rock and roll
カッコいいですね~😺🎵
Chuck Beck DID NOT design the 904. He designed this replica chassis. And, it's Porsha, not Porch.
Pronounced....Por-sha!
More like Por-shae
Very cool video and very cool car. Beck repro's are top notch. That said, if you are a Porsche fan please, please, please pronounce Porsche with two syllables. Thanks and God bless!
Beautiful machine😍😍😍😍😍😍 an absolute perfect driver, just the epitome of driving perfection.
