Yuvraj Singh is someone I am very proud to be a fan of. He may not be the cricketer that he once was, but the fact that he is still playing after going through cancer is a testament to his spirit.

He would have definitely have 14k runs in Odis but for cancer.It still hurts me when dhoni and patil ignored him for 2015 wc when he had scored 700 runs in 4 ranji matches,whom they selected in his place Axar and lord Binny

I remember those reliable Partnerships middle order of India used to have throughout 2004-2011, Gambhir,Dhoni, Tendulkar,Sehwag,Raina but there was always a Yuvraj there.
I was crying while watching this video. I miss yuvi playing.
The first day I played cricket - I came back home and watched cricket on tv, this person played his first match against australia (second match, first innings).
I really liked his style and took the game seriously. Played for andhra state; captained my class, university; played in clubs in scotland.
All this because of one player, my role model on and off the field, yuvraj singh.
He's the reason I started this game and I dedicate everything to you champ. My cricket hero forever.

I don't understand why ppl hate yuvi. He might not be Tendulkar or Kohli but he is yuvraj singh and there is always a spot for yuvi in 11. Brilliant fielder...and was a decent bowler as well. Back in 2007 after50 over wc, I said to my brother that yuvi will retire as legend of the game and he is certainly one. Yuvi is like movie Andaz Apna Apna... People might reject it... But after years people will realize that yuvi was a bright star that shone in golden era of Indian cricket

Wonderfully narrated, his life story is no less than any movie with so many twists and turns, people who follows Indian cricket from early 2000's knows how important yuvi was in the team in limited overs cricket, by looking his stats and by comparing with some other players who has more runs, some people might say he is an ordinary bastman with some good innings, but the truth is yuvraj is arguably the finest match Winner for India in limited overs, every major trophy India won till 2011 from 2000 his contribution is there. His peak period is between 2005 to 2009 where he along with dhoni chased down almost every target set by opposition team. The ipl fan boys may not see him as a great batsman but for me he is India's best limited overs batsman after Sachin.
