- A juror in a Minneapolis fraud trial was suddenly dismissed after someone allegedly tried to bribe her with a giant bag full of cash that was brought to her house. A second juror was dismissed when a family member asked if they knew about the bribe.

Reporting it was the right move. If they accepted, or said nothing and voted not guilty the crooks would have owned that juror as they could them blackmail them by threatening to report them to the police.

The problem is that the defendants know the juror's identity. There's probably concern for the juror's safety and their family safety. Best to dismiss them for the sake of the juror themselves. Also, it'll mess with the juror's mind during trial and deliberations with them knowing the defendants know who they are.
Everyone can be found, now days especially when money is involved. No one is a secret.
Goes on more often than we know, sometimes defense lawyers get the money to the judges especially in underdeveloped countries.

Anyone that has been on a jury, especially a long multi week trial knows that potential jurors will lie to get dismissed. For a trial like this I bet some people will lie to be on this trial. Who wouldn’t want to be a juror that put Trump in jail. Just answer all the questions and say you will be unbiased. How many have been on a trial where just one person had a different opinion. Every one else on the jury would pressure that one person to see it their way. If that one person was weak they would cave in. Finding a free bag of money would easily help.
