Speedtree can do it but speedtree wind system tends to move the trunk as well , so i would advice using somthing like tyflow id your using 3ds max or houdini :)
This may be a bug, but I'm having an issue when I am trying to create a new material, the forces on the trunk seem to revert back to default and no longer use the 'rock' as a force. Just shoots straight up. Has anyone else experienced this or is my google'fu letting me down on this particular issue 😅
yes that is a bug , what normal do to fix the is just to create a new mesh in speedtree and relink to the ivy or what ever creeper plant your creating :) that the only way i have found
hi this somthing that speedtree does only why is to scale it out from your DCC aplication smaller etc or just to select the mesh in speedtree andmake is smaller by 0.02 or 0.01 :) havent found a beter why
@@MOTStudio Yea I did that I tried that like 20 times different ways. But It was all because of the version of the program. I had old version and it didnt work there. In the new one it works finally
Hi it is possible to do all that in Speedtree this ha haven’t setup in that way 😄 you can export out the mesh with the ivy object also you can do the animation and export that out as n fbx etc and import that in UE5 etc
@@MOTStudio yup yup finally I can export it with the object, previously the object is not exporte, maybe because I didn't set the material properly, after I did the material then I can export all the object, but I still got problem with importing the animation to ue, it always crashes, maybe because my ABC file is too big(?) around 10 gigs for 250 frame animated tree :')
Thanks a lot for the tutorial! I am actually trying to achieve a specific ivy pattern but unfortunately cant get it to look exactly like I want. Hand placement still wins for now. Maybe I need to try more settings :D Update: Actually just discovered something called "zones generator" It could possibly work for my case. Great tut. Can an animation be done of a tree growing?
Yes you can!
How the wind would react on this? each leaf moves independently?

You should make leaves colide with rock as well...
Thats somthing you wil do with Tyflow or Houdini Vellum setup :) maybe wee will to a tutorial on that as well
hello can you tell me why the importing meshe's scales break down?? and can you explain to fix it without changing the scale uniform each time??
hi this somthing that speedtree does only why is to scale it out from your DCC aplication smaller etc or just to select the mesh in speedtree andmake is smaller by 0.02 or 0.01 :) havent found a beter why
I cannot move trunk at all even though I added mesh as force which is not affecting tree at all. Please help
You need to select the trunk in your scene and press W on your keyboard then you’ll be able to move your trunk 😄 let me know if this helps

Glad its working now !!! 👌🏻👌🏻😄
@@MOTStudio Thank you for the tutorial. It really helped me.
can we export the leave animation with the mesh included man? and possibly import the growing animation with mesh into unreal engine?

sir can you make a basic Speedtree Tutorial for Beginners
That will be in the pipeline soon :)
hey iam trying to import mesh like you did it in your video but i can't see my mesh can plss why is this happning
check the initial scale. If your mesh comes from Blender its prob scaled in meters and might be quite large.

yes only way to create a "Pattern" is via Magnet and direction Generators etc hopfully oneday speedtree will add spline paint tool or something
doesnt work great on flat walls
Works weel on flat walls :)
