Even though I went and done most of these steps already (even the secret exit Super Mario World style or Warp Whistle making Pikachu sad..), I still watched the video start to end. Because it's just PERFECT. 🙌🤩💪 PSVita is my favourite PS/PSP retro gaming device now. And of course the Vita games themselves.
As someone who doesn't know anything about PS Vita's or homebrew or anything I was able to follow this with relative ease. I was having trouble with Vitashell and the VPK's weren't showing up but from other videos of your I have that WINSCP so I can do things with FTP and that worked flawlessly! I was able to make the VPKs folder on the WINSCP and install the Adrenaline Bubbles manager and was able to get my Ape Escape game as a bubble and follow the rest of the guide :D I'm a bit confused of the whole title id pbt thing so I'm gonna have to re-watch that but I got my PSP games to work so that's a start ☺ thank you for the guide as it helped bring back to life one of my favorite games of all time and I'm so happy that I bought a PS Vita 1000 now and get to play Ape Escape! Once I figure out that title id stuff I'll be all set :D I'm setting this up for my niece to play games on so it's been worth the time trying to figure this all out. Thanks again!! ☺
I tried using my airpods with my Vita. It wasn't working. So I turn off my Vita and rebooted it. Now all the games & apps I installed wont work. It said the files are corrupt. So now I have to watch this video again and do this all over again. Damn.

I finally got my new PS Vita jail broken now I’m ready to load some PS one games, if I get LOK Soul Reaver, Duke Nukem and the Lara Croft series I’ll be a happy camper. Then C&C and Twisted Metal. Bring on the PS 1 flashbacks.
Not sure if anyone else has this issue. Small but easy to fix. When creating the folders or PS1 and PSP games, the first folder shown on screen is called "sdcard". I made the mistake of creating an actual folder. Don't do the same mistake as I did as Adrenaline won't read the folder correctly. Just refer "sdcard" as the location where the files are going, aka the name of the sd card you're using and not an actual folder named "sdcard"

Thank you so much for your in-depth Tutorials on Vita Mods. They've really helped me this last week in finally sorting out my many mods and programs. One query I'm hoping you may know an answer to is if it is possible to map the touchpad at the rear of the console to act as R1/R2 Buttons in PS1 games? I'm hoping there is such a workaround, as it is frustrating playing games where you cannot access all the controller buttons. I've had a look in the Adrenaline settings, and you can map the UDLR and triangle, cross, square, circle buttons to the touchpad, but not any shoulder buttons. Hopefully someone will be able to provide an answer to my query. Thanks once again for the great content :)
I changed the buttons on metal gear solid 1 to use L2+R2 on the top buttons instead of L1+R1, and I mapped the L1+R1 to the top corners of the screen, but you can easily put them on the back touch via the official settings.
With the new firmware update, you don't need a pc anymore for doing all the great software stuff. Thanks so much for this helpful tutorial. My psp screen doesn't look as sharp as yours. Maybe I missed an graphic option?

Just wanted to say ‘thanks’ for your guides on modding, installing sd adapters and this one. Of all the years I’ve owned a Vita (two now), I never considered jail breaking it either because I was nervous about screwing something up or getting banned. But after watching your guides multiple times over and reading threads online about how worth it it is, I decided to take the plunge and do it. I’m still very new to this whole modding thing and I’m still trying to figure things out, but I am enjoying the freedom of not being tethered to limited storage from Sony’s overpriced memory cards. Hey just a heads up to anyone reading. You DO NOT need to use/buy a card adapter. The folder path is still there and available, windows simply cant read it properly due to the emulation. Boot Vitashell. Press SELECT to enter USB MODE Then go to windows file explorer and simply type in (Replace C with correct Driver letter) C:\pspemu\PSP\GAME\ or C:\pspemu\ISO\ and windows will open the file path automatically, allowing you to simply copy paste the files into the right directory.
If it's just to import PSP games, you can use FileZilla. In VitaShell, press START, and change "Press Select" to FTP. Once in FileZilla, press SELECT and a Host number will appear. Type in the number in the Host table and last four digits in the Port table and hit Quickconnect. Now, I'm still wondering how to get PS1 roms on the Vita, if the rom format is incompatible.
I set up adrenaline and it worked the first time. But when i put more of my PSP roms when ever i try to open up the memory stick to see my games, it pauses for like 12 seconds and gives me error: c1-2858-3 BTW I am using a ps vita 1001 (3G) with a 16gb Vita memory card
You guys gotta rebuild the database. Start in safe mode. Turn the PSP all the way off. Then hold power, ps button, and right bumper for 5 seconds to turn the Vita back one. Select rebuild database and boom.
Only discovered your content a week or so ago, glad to see your channel back and uploading quality content. My odroid go super is much more interesting thanks to your guides and forum post on the odroid forums.
hi mate .. after add the games there is a note (Cannot start this application) must download the application again from [download List] in [PS Store] (C0-9250-6) .. help pls
Can’t stop the signal! This is so cool. I think hacking the PSP, Vita, DSiXL, or 3DS is a fantastic alternative to the stale 3326 environment. Note to others: be wary of fake ROMs - I’ve had a number or sites try to get me to open a 500kb exe file.
I've been following you for all my RG351M stuff.... and hell yeah you got Vita tutorials?! Just bought one since your tutorials are easy to follow. Thank you!
hes being a bit of a pussy about it... he says hes a "wholesome" channel that wont tell you to do anything illegal yet he has full on tutorials on how to jailbreak your vita and gives you every tool to be able to ILLEGALY download practically any game you want yet he draws the line at one specific app that would make this the true one stop place for vita modding
Damn... so far everything went great.... then when it came to playing the games, it just didn't work. either its a "game cant start error" or corrupted files. my heart is broken and my nostalgia has been denied. great tutorial though bro and still god bless.
little tip for those who don't have a sd card reader or misplaced their's you can just load the iso's onto the vita directly and then move them into psemu data file through vitashell after disconnecting and it works fine.
did you know your circle and x buttons are set to the japanese defaults? in america the confirm/cancel buttons are switched so x is confirm and circle is cancel. there's an option in system settings to swap this either way. this could also just be the default of the psvita 2000 series, i have the 1000.
I suspected that since I have a Japanese 2000 model, but I prefer them this way since all the retro handhelds have this same scheme. Thanks for the tip!
Same here. Mine is an Asian/HongKong store bought model... Which is very likely Japanese. So mine are CIRCLE ⭕ for enter. I noticed a couple of other guides or videos that use CROSS ✖️ to enter.

awesome tutorial... my vita's already set up and I don't mind having them on adrenaline, I like the PSP feelings that it brings. But I didn't even know about the bubbles thing, it's very nice indeed! thank you for the video!! glad to see your channel safe and sound.
You don´t need to exit windows explorer to see the hidden folder a) go to windows explorer b) go to "File" --» "Options" c) go to "View" d) and select off "Show hidden files, folders and drives" & "Hide protected operating system files" (If you guys don't have a card reader around) :))))))))
After Adrenaline downloads the PSP firmware, it closes, then after opening it again it gives me the error c1-2758-2. Anyone familiar with this error ? thanks !
Wish you had gone over how to do this without having to plug the memory card into your PC, so for anyone wondering: I use an official memory card for my modded vita, no sd2vita. You need to use the app VitaShell, plug your Vita into your PC with a USB cable, then get them connected. Press start and make sure the "USB Device" is set to whatever you are using as your storage (mine is "Memory Card"). Also make sure the option "Select Button" is set to USB since you are connecting via USB cable. Close the options menu. Press Select and it should connect your Vita to your PC and open up File Manager. From there, you can follow the rest of the tutorial in the video! :)
Biggest takeaway from this video is you put the ISO folder in the pspemu folder. Don't put your psp iso file in the GAMES folder or create an ISO folder in the GAMES folder like I did. Otherwise you'll repeatedly restart your vita wondering why your game(s) aren't showing up in the Memory Stick. Or you may go insane like me, and create a problem so great the memory stick stops showing up in Adrenaline. Best advice I can give is make sure the ISO folder is only in that pspemu folder.
id been seeing a vita in the window of a local thrift. it was dirt cheap marked untested with no charger. 2 weeks ago on friday the 13th i decided to try my luck and low ball them. walked away with it for 10 bucks. drove right over to gamestop where the trainee, who asked what a ps vita WAS, found a charger in their inventory log, the managers jaw dropped when they brought it out of the back room because it was labeled nintendo vita usb cable. i got it for 5 bucks. plugged it in and we were good in a couple hours. ive been learning all of this emulator fun; hot damn. after grabbing the sd2vita adapter im probably $25 in and im playing every single game id ever wanted but my parents couldnt afford. also reliving my classic favorites. i could earn money by the time ps3 came around so i didnt miss out on much thereafter, but im for damn sure not paying premiums for "retro" hardware today. i will however pay the dues for physical upgrades to come. i like the idea of upgrading batteries, swapping to usb c, and customizing the buttons. loving this thing. couldnt tell you though how anxiety driving it was thinking ive bricked it at every step of the way installing everithing, messing with plugins... onto enjoying life. Thanks for your series! excellent channel

Then go to windows file explorer and simply type in (Replace C with correct Driver letter) C:\pspemu\PSP\GAME\ or C:\pspemu\ISO\ and windows will open the file path automatically, allowing you to simply copy paste the files into the right directory.
When I searched up the (Replace C with correct Driver letter,) I can’t find it and it’s super confusing. Btw I’m not using a card adapter.
But when i put more of my PSP roms when ever i try to open up the memory stick to see my games, it pauses for like 12 seconds and gives me error: c1-2858-3
BTW I am using a ps vita 1001 (3G) with a 16gb Vita memory card
You guys gotta rebuild the database. Start in safe mode. Turn the PSP all the way off. Then hold power, ps button, and right bumper for 5 seconds to turn the Vita back one. Select rebuild database and boom.
Just had hernia surgery, so I'm home for a few days. Your timing on these vids is literally perfect for me lol. I'm gonna mod me a vita 1000!
I’d recommend picking up a spare power cable since they’re proprietary. There are third party vendors who sell for cheap :)
@@wordsmith451 I got that covered, I've heard the same. Thank you!
Great guide. Where did you get the PS1 and PSP files on your computer?
So, what now that you dont use plugin?
Only discovered your content a week or so ago, glad to see your channel back and uploading quality content. My odroid go super is much more interesting thanks to your guides and forum post on the odroid forums.
hi mate .. after add the games there is a note (Cannot start this application) must download the application again from [download List] in [PS Store] (C0-9250-6) .. help pls
Providing helpful guide is good but making it this much entertaining is just awesome! Final fantasy IX... haha!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can you do 3ds tutorials? Like Twilight and NDS forwards.
I didn't have to name my PS1 games the IDs, I just copied the EBOOTs over in folders with the respective game names
Ugh...I've tried both Auto Plugin 2 and the method on the written guide to fix Adrenaline crashing but neither worked...any advice?
Can’t stop the signal!
This is so cool. I think hacking the PSP, Vita, DSiXL, or 3DS is a fantastic alternative to the stale 3326 environment.
Note to others: be wary of fake ROMs - I’ve had a number or sites try to get me to open a 500kb exe file.
yeah, just use trust worthy sites like emuparadise with the workaround script
I've been following you for all my RG351M stuff.... and hell yeah you got Vita tutorials?! Just bought one since your tutorials are easy to follow. Thank you!
Do you think you could do a guide on how to install ps vita games?
hes being a bit of a pussy about it... he says hes a "wholesome" channel that wont tell you to do anything illegal yet he has full on tutorials on how to jailbreak your vita and gives you every tool to be able to ILLEGALY download practically any game you want yet he draws the line at one specific app that would make this the true one stop place for vita modding
Damn... so far everything went great.... then when it came to playing the games, it just didn't work. either its a "game cant start error" or corrupted files. my heart is broken and my nostalgia has been denied. great tutorial though bro and still god bless.
little tip for those who don't have a sd card reader or misplaced their's you can just load the iso's onto the vita directly and then move them into psemu data file through vitashell after disconnecting and it works fine.
This !!! Thank You this saved me time and money.
you just saved me a massive headache, Thanks bro!!!!
That Adrenaline double touch "bug" was starting to drive me crazy. Thanks for that fix, I had no idea!
did you know your circle and x buttons are set to the japanese defaults? in america the confirm/cancel buttons are switched so x is confirm and circle is cancel. there's an option in system settings to swap this either way. this could also just be the default of the psvita 2000 series, i have the 1000.
Where can i go to find ps 1pbp game files and psp iso files
I made it work using www. coolrom.com.
Then, when you chose your rom, you don't press the big download button, but you press the "alternative download link". Then just wait a few seconds for the timer and press download. It took relatively long for me (for the actual rom sizes), but it's legit. Then I used this youtube video to convert the .bin files from coolrom to pbp files: ruclips.net/video/PiCesmzAB5s/видео.html
Then I got an error, which I fixed with this video
ruclips.net/video/iW1_PwGRI-Q/видео.html
And then, lastly, I had to go to the psx2psp app again, go to options and change the compression from 0 to 1-3. But I think you should do this step before the previous one, since it's more efficient. I just did it last.
I hope this helps you.
Oh yeah, and you need something like Winrar to extract the zip rom files.
Yeah mate, they are a nice console! Great to collect for too, prices are going crazzzzy. Very under estimated console and I'm glad it's finally getting the credit it deserves.
awesome tutorial... my vita's already set up and I don't mind having them on adrenaline, I like the PSP feelings that it brings. But I didn't even know about the bubbles thing, it's very nice indeed! thank you for the video!! glad to see your channel safe and sound.
I can't find the "Set up Autoplug in II" in your website.
I really need to mod my ps vita, it's what i bought it for. I'm going to use your guide, so thank you for creating it
You don´t need to exit windows explorer to see the hidden folder
a) go to windows explorer
b) go to "File" --» "Options"
c) go to "View"
d) and select off "Show hidden files, folders and drives" & "Hide protected operating system files"
(If you guys don't have a card reader around) :))))))))
Chad commenter right here.
Recently discovered your channel and boy, it is great! Thanks so much! Keep up the great work. You do a great job of explaining and demonstrating. 👍🏽
Awesome, thank you!
After Adrenaline downloads the PSP firmware, it closes, then after opening it again it gives me the error c1-2758-2. Anyone familiar with this error ? thanks !
Same thing is happening to me, did to figure this out?
Wish you had gone over how to do this without having to plug the memory card into your PC, so for anyone wondering:
I use an official memory card for my modded vita, no sd2vita.
Hey can I am currently using my 16gb card on my ps vita 2000. Can I also have that sdvita adapter and use that as another storage device for game??
I have a problem i have created the game folder but it does not appear in adrenaline. What can i do?
Im stuck how do you get the ps1/psp library mentioned at 7:20
gametdb doesnt seem to work anymore for psx titles for some reason.
What's the name of the website you got your pbp files from
I’ve been wondering if there was a way to fix the “double touch” for adrenaline, so excited to try the plugin
hello, I create vpks file and import the adrenalin and autoplugin into it, but it does not appear in psp vita please help me bro
Why not connect vita to pc then drag the iso to the files from there instead of plugging the sd card in?
Ehh I have a problem Adrenaline not working.
Me: 35k....come on !!!!
Russ: 50k.... I'm watching you 😎
