All you need is to backup your data from settings and make sure your ssd is installable before you buy it then install it 😊, I installed Kingston a400 960GB and it worked fine
Buy an external drive and connect it via usb. This is how I did with mine

Jailbreak if doesn’t give you the rights to earn trophies 🏆 on games you don’t have physical or digital games you just don’t own so I won’t jailbreak my PS4 I love earning trophies maybe I’ll jailbreak the Nintendo consoles instead that gives nothing or should I say hack them as I did to the NES classic Super Nintendo classic have the entire library
All consoles with trophy/achievement support also have them when jailbroken. I get achievements and trophies on my PS3, PS Vita, PS4 Pro and Xbox 360 and they're all hacked.
@@Manic_Panicwell just try doing online and see if Sony won’t band your account you can hack your PS4 also or even you Xbox consoles but if your caught playing games you just don’t own you can get banned ever heard of consoles that don’t play anything Sony Microsoft Nintendo have the power to do that this isn’t the PS2 where it was taking just physical games now their watching you
I agree Sony bands accounts they do it all the time don’t mess with PlayStation they have control of your account more then you go jailbreak a PS1 or a PS2 but not a PS3 -PS5 where your being watched
@@stevestars2966 The only console where you can get banned for this is the 360 so you can not go to Xbox Live at all. Though you don't need it to get achievements.
The PS3 won't ban you unless you use cheats in online games, no one gets banned for CFW lol, same with the Vita.
And on PS4 you're not even online because you're on older firmware. The trophies come with the games so they can unlock by just playing fully offline but you can't get trophies that need you to go to multiplayer unless you edit your save file.

Being around consoles since '98 with PSX, a jailbroken PS4 feels right to me, you have access to all the hidden features of your console to use it as you please 😊

So i have this issue that happened to me twice now, basically i lost all of my save files.
The first time it happened was when I put my ps4 in restmode, later when i opened my game i noticed that none of my saves were available to load.
The second time the issue occurred when i booted my ps4 after a crash and a data reubuild screen.
I remember trying to rebuild the database with itemzflow,i think ,
But it didn’t work.
I would really appreciate a video that could help me with the problem and how i can prevent it from happening again. I started to copy my saves to a usb via Apollo save tool but this is no long term solution, very annoying if you always have to backup saves before shutting down the system + crashes are unpredictable.

You can also mod games using a jailbroken ps4 or ps5.
For TLOU2, you can kill Abby at the beach.
For Days gone, you can kill the samwil horde or iron butte horde by just 1 shot...... Etc etc.
Wake me up when you can activate automatically on coldboot.
It will be great when all of them are moddable like the 3DS or the xbox 360(with soldering)
I've been waiting patiently on 9.60 and now this amazing news. People say it's not the "full" jailbreak though, I am not sure what that means.
It’s everything that the jailbreak on others is. The only thing is, you either need something like a luckfox, or a router or just a pc to enable the jailbreak everytime you boot your ps4. Which honestly isn’t much.
Main downside which wasnt mentioned is that everytime u turn off ps4 u have to again Connect it to pc so jaibreak works
But isn't that a good thing too? Since if you want to play your ps4 regularly without jailbreak again then that's good

I'm mainly gaming on my ps5 these days, but still have an old firmware PS4 laying around waiting to be jailbroken, mainly for creating a retroarch kind of set-up on it. Are there any good front-ends on it, like the wii has wiiflow for showing all the games or coinops?
With how cheap PS4 has gotten, It's better to buy it and use it as an offline gaming console than worrying about playing online.

If u like to put ur PS4 Vertically u can put it upside down though, yes i know the logo will also be upside down but at least it's better than burning up the inside

8:20 A caveat for running linux, correct me if i'm wrong, some ps4 consoles will not have their wifi and bluetooth chips work on linux. So you may need to have an ethernet connection to connect to the internet, and wired gamepad connection, if you mostly use gamepad for games. I haven't tried other distros besides psxitarch though, so please let me know if some distros work with any ps4 wifi/bluetooth chip.

not really worth buying if you have a pc. most ps4 games are already on pc with more exclusives coming everyday since sony wants to move alot of there old exclusives over to pc and they are easy to get for free on PC if you know where to look.

I jailbroked my Ps4 for a while.
Issues:
Every time you power off you have to run the jailbreak again.
If it fails to jailbreak successfully it gets stuck in this loop where it keeps failing. Works 4 out of 5 times fine, but still anoying.
Sometimes it jailbreaks first time, you play 10 min and the console just switches off.
Updating games is a hassle, everything is just more complicated.
Some Ps1,Psp emulated games runs slow.
Copied duplicate Ps1 games onto the internal drive and the file explorers were unable to delete them again wasting lots of space.
The homebrew game suck.

I own a ps5 and jailbroke my ps4 maybe 2 months ago. Honestly it feels like such a waste of time. The ps4 hardware is honestly so bad compared to my ps5. I would say if you only have a ps4 is probably a good idea, but if you have a more up to date console why would you even consider playing games in such an inferior way.
