I have test knitted the Coastal Drift mittens and am gifting them for Christmas! I would love to make more so Mitten !!! 😊🤞🏻 thanks for another lovely episode Nancy! I think your Zweig colours are so fun, can’t wait to see it knit up! And congratulations on another great pattern, and choosing a charity close to my heart (we are a military family too😉). Happy knitting!
Hi Nancy - Thank you for a great podcast on a rainy Monday evening. The coastal mittens are so pretty and I definitely want to knit a pair. I was sad to hear that La Violette has closed the brick and mortar store. ❤ I hope Manon Drolet will keep an online presence and create more patterns.
I felt the same about Laviolette 😐, but happy for her at the same time. She will definitely still be around in our community and I'm looking forward to see what is coming 🤓 Thanks for hanging out with me again 😊
Ahhh Nancy you are SUCH wonderful company as I slogged-away on this Sweater Scarf 😉 .. your laughter is so joyful and hearty! I sat here smiling while I knit - time flew! I like your no-gift-knitting-in-December rule. Very smart! I just treated myself to some self-striping sock yarn to make Christmas sock from Polkadot Creek. Lovely variety of colourways.
I'm glad I can keep you company especially as I feel your pain 😉 I find time flies when I'm recording as well! I always plan on a sub 1 hour episode, but it never happens 😂
I'm not ready for Mitten weather. Although I do wear a fingerless mitt all the time. I find it handy to keep me warm from door to car and then car to work. I can still check my phone and fumble around with the car keys. That being said, if I am going to a walk with the dogs, it's warm gloves all afternoon long! Ugh menopause... you will survive even if it doesn't feel like it now. I am thrilled to say that I am on the other side of it. Hot flashes especially at night were the worst! I had a period of crying at the drop of the hat. That was awful! Love all the projects and the dream knitting. I am getting so excited about my Advent knitting although I haven't settled on a pattern yet. See you in a few weeks ~ Kay
Hi Kay, The time change and early winter weather has been hard to take, but wearing my knits is balancing it out 🤓 I'll look forward to seeing your advent projects on Instagram. Thanks for the menopause commiserations! Just have to get through it!
Hello Nancy, Hope you remember my from the PEI Festival.... It's always a pleasure to watch your podcasts. Hope the word MITTEN brings me luck. I love your new sweater. I forgot to mention to you that my mother is from England. She married my dad during the war and came to live in Canada after the war. I'm the fifth child and I inherited her knitting skills. I love to knit every day and I buy yarn every time I go on a trip. Keep up with the good work. Bye bye for now. Bonita Blanchard from Pokemouche.
Hi Bonita 👋 Yes I remember you and I appreciate you coming to have a chat❣️ My English Granny was a war bride, but they ended up back in England. She was a town girl and did not enjoy living on a farm in the middle of nowhere Manitoba. I can't say that I blame her 🤓 Happy knitting and I hope we'll run into each other at another show 💕
Hi Nancy, so nice to see you! You kept me company while I worked on organizing my circular needles. I really enjoyed seeing your finished objects and WIPS and love the coastal drift mittens! Happy Knitting.❤️
It's not the snow, it's not the cold, it's the navigation on snow and ice that is the issue. Whether it is walking or driving, I hate it! I do love winter knitting. We had snow a week or two earlier than you, but it's gone now. Last year snow hit in early October and didn't leave until April. I just bought your Coastal Drift Mitten Pattern, because it is mitten season!
That's it!! If I could stay inside and only go out when the weather was good, I wouldn't mind winter at all 😂😂 Ours melted as well thankfully! It makes for a long winter when snow stays this early ❄️
Oh that field sweater. Is gorgeous and that color looks so beautiful on you! Love all the socks, the Tits Up Pattern is so pretty, lovely texture. Love the Reggia Kaffe Fassett yarn colorway, and the hermione pattern looks great with it. Those Coastal Drift mittens look cozy and beautiful too. Thank you for your generous gift away, gorgeous colors.
Love the mitten pattern and both the gift away yarns are beautiful. The necklace is stunning and the field sweater is lovely. Thanks for another interesting podcast.
This winter will be my mitten workout. I have several different mitten patterns to try with yarns I can’t wait to use. I enjoy your podcasts and your sense of humour. Thank you Nancy
Thank you for another wonderful visit. I’ve started to settle down after our move from Alberta to BC and am getting caught up with my Knitty vlogs. A good mitten is a definite must in northern BC and I will need many with the dampness. 🥂 to wine and hot flashes! 😊
It's a pleasure to come and have a chat 💕 Oh...moving is so disruptive and so much work. Glad to hear that you're settling and have time to knit and hangout 😊
Lovely knits, beautiful yarns, and such gorgeous jewelry. We have had snow out west for a while now. Certainly mitten weather and I am knitting up a bunch. Thank you for sharing!
Always enjoy your podcast! You have convinced me to knit some mittens. That is a beautiful mitten pattern. I love your sweater/wrap for Sam! Also the sweet pea socks! My nickname in high school was sweet pea lol. That was a million years ago! I actually completely stopped drinking alcohol because I couldn’t sleep. I only ever drank wine also but it helped as now I sleep 7-8 hours a night. I miss having a glass of wine but I’m much more pleasant to be around lol. Also the second trigger I believe is sugar so I avoid sugar unless it’s natural. Menopause is a bitch. It’s a big adjustment and you will find out what works for you. Good thing we can knit 🧶. Thanks for the chance to win some mitten yarn!! Always enjoy your podcast!
Thanks Sweet Pea 😉🙃 I appreciate hearing about your experience...it is all so different and hard to know what helps. I will keep on trucking and knitting for sanity 🤓
Alot of knitty goodness in this episode, so enjoyable. Your Zweig is going to be beautiful. I made mine this past summer and am enjoying it so much. The suggestion of the Royal Canadian Legion as the beneficiary from the sale of your sock pattern is perfect. Love Manon's mitten pattern. Happy knitting
Thanks for spending some time with me Sheila❣️ I love watching podcasts with loads of knitting 🤓 I wish there was a poppy emoji because I'm very happy to he donating to the Poppy fund for this sock ❤️
Always a pleasure to watch your podcasts, Nancy. The occasional, “um” doesn’t bother me in the least! It’s the repeated, “like” and “ya know” that drive me bonkers 😂 The yarns you’ve chosen for your next zweig is gorgeous! It’s been awhile since I’ve knit any mittens…might have to make some for the grand kiddos soon 😊
Always love spending time with you and seeing your amazing makes. Some of my absolute favorite things are covered - knitting, wine, laughter 🤣 The coastal mitten pattern is so lovely - what and awesome gift away!
That is so lovely of you to say Beth. I love coming to have a chat about knitting and life and I think that's why they are always so long...I'm enjoying visiting with you 💕
Hi Nancy lovely to see you again, enjoyed your podcast as always , those mittens are beautiful as are all the other projects you showed I’m sure your daughter will love that sweater you made her . Happy crafting see you soon .

So fun to see your cross-stitch. What a great seasonal sampler. Thank you for the lovely mitten giveaway. I was just thinking I need a new pair of mittens. That necklace is gorgeous and the sheepy bag is adorable!! I think I need those, too :-)
Cheers Nancy. Love your chat and sharing. It does get cold enough here Downunder, in winter to wear at least wear fingers less mittens. Would love to try the lovely yarn in your generous giftwaway. So MITTEN it is!
I am s-mitten with that mitten pattern!! Really enjoyed your "visit" and look forward to seeing how you do advent this year...I did not buy an advent this year as I have so many from passed years that are just sitting there, looking pretty, so I thought my advent this year will be an advent pattern and use one of my lovely advents from years past...love your new sock pattern, purchased and happy to contribute to your generous donation the Canadian Legion!
Hi Nancy! Oh wow that orange will make some beautiful accessories with that mitten pattern :) Well done for getting through that sweater-shawl; a true labour of love! x x x
Helloooo 👋 I'm not a big orange fan, but that 🧡 is amazing❣️ Sam has picked up the sweater scarf and I'm just waiting for her to send me pictures of her wearing it 🤓
I too love a full mitten. I get cold finger tips and I’m only in southern England! I wonder if you have a sock set and larger foot if you could do the leg pattern of you Drunken Cube and not the stripes on the foot and have enough yarn? 🤔
Those skeins of gift yarn are beautiful! So sad to hear her yarn shop closed. I would love to knit the Mittens. Thank you for another excellent podcast!
Hi Nancy, I love watching your podcast it is always interesting and fun. You have so many fun colours which would be great for the start of a mitten. Have a super day.
Enjoyed your podcast! I love the mitten pattern and would like to make a pair. Always love your scenery videos. Your sock patterns are always amazing and you are very productive. Looking forward to the next video.
Enjoyed your podcast - another lot of beautiful projects! Your field sweater is looking wonderful and I love that colour. Thanks for the advice on adding a few stitches to the heel of socks as I find mine tend to be a little tight around the ankle. Pleased to see your cross stitch again too, it is a lovely pattern.🌸
Congrats on the new pattern release, it’s speaks volumes that you donate the first week proceeds to a charity. Would love to see matching socks for the Coastal Drift mittens 🙂
I truly love watching your podcasts while I knit. Your Spectrum sweater is so pretty, and I appreciate all your comments on the Field Sweater. It is still on my list! I am currently making a Clarke pullover with Magpie worsted, color blocking it aka Peach Fuzz as I could not get gauge for that sweater. Your MITTEN pattern is adorable. I have not made mittens yet--maybe next Christmas. I made slippers for my family this year--my Christmas knitting is done, so I am already being selfish with my knitting!! I have been eyeing Rose Hill yarn--I may have to succumb! Your daughter is very lucky to get that enormous Snowfall Sweater! I saw that Knitty Stew is also making one!
I'm glad I can keep you company...thank you❣️❣️ My Field is done and its gorgeous. The modified fit is great for me but don't let my comments turn you off! There's lots of projects in Ravelry pages to learn from. I resisted a gorgeous mini fade from Rosehill Yarns this week and felt very noble 🤣🤣 Leanne and I have been talking about the love of our daughters and the dislike of this knit 🤓
Hi, wow that’s a lot of snow for the end of October in NB! I have been in a mitten making mood lately. I made my first closed set a couple weeks ago for my little nephew and they are sooo cute and tiny! As soon as they were done I made another pair. I crocheted a super scrappy Rosie Posie and it turned out amazing! The middle part of the squares uses about 58” of yarn, so I used up even the smallest of bits of yarn.
It was a lot of snow and I really wasn't ready for it. It only stuck around for a week, but still!!!! The hand things really are so fast...can't say the word LOL. Good to know about Rosie Posie...plus I love the name 🤓 Thanks for keeping me company 💕
Love the coastal mitten pattern, and those pins are adorable! Yes I ❤Big balls 😂. Love your new socks, and such a perfect charity you selected for the pattern. Hope to test again for you soon! Cheers ❤ xoxo
A lovely episode, thank you Nancy. The snow looked lovely but I can imagine it may be tiresome after a while! Your mittens are beautiful. I would love to give them a go ❤
Another brilliant episode with lots of beautiful knits 😍 I love the Mittens, I'm in England and I wear gloves from the autumn. My fingers get so cold. We have a horrible damp cold over here.
@@knitsiphappy you and me both! If it's cold enough to need gloves/mittens, your fingers need covering most as they're the extremities. Maybe it's for fashion 🤔
I loved the yarn you have chose for the zweig. Knitting the costal mitten pattern sounds like fun. I have never knit mittens before. Thanks for another fun podcast
hi Nancy I love your work , I am also knitting a field sweater but making the summer version as we are into our summer here in Australia. I love to see your enjoying Australian wine ! I enjoy making mittens and have mitten plans for our coming winter. I hope to visit Canada one day soon . oxo
Hi Nancy, your snowfall sweater scarf is lovely, I'm sure my daughter would love one but not sure I could face the ribbing! I found a 'cool' pillow very helpful for sleeping when I was overheating. Recently made some crochet mitten (s), the coastal drift ones look very pretty.
Thanks for visiting with me Jane 💕 Sam is coming for a visit this weekend and I have my fingers and toes crossed that she loves the sweater scarf and it fits 🤞🤞
I already have the mitten pattern, but have not CO yet. I will be purchasing the new pattern, love it. And you are very kind to donate sales proceeds to charities.
Hi Nancy, lovely episode as always. I too am finishing off wips so I can cast on a few projects for me in December too. Beautiful necklace and love the mitten, they brought back memories of when my mum used to knit them for me and my sister when we were younger. Have a wonderful week ❤❤❤
Hello Linda ❣️ You're always so good at leaving me a lovely comment 🥰 I'm a terrible lurker and forget to say hello when i visit you...terrible!!! I will try to do better 💕
Your socks and sweaters are great!! I like your mitten turned fingerless glove. I’ve purchased your latest sock pattern!! 🧶♥️🧦♥️🧶. You’re so lucky to have honey crisp apples so close!
I love the coastal drift mitten pattern! It's so pretty, and looking forward to seeing how your fingerless mitts version turns out. Love your crooked cube sock pattern too!
A great mitten pattern! I am a mitten knitting enthusiast- both for myself and for gifting. I like fingerless mittens in the spring/fall- you can also slip them over your gloves when it’s colder.
Thanks for spending some time with me. Lots have people have mentioned the layering and I had never thought of that, so thanks for that recommendation 😀
I can’t believe you’ve had snow already! It feels like no time has passed since we sat on your porch with you, laundry drying in the summer sun ☀️ Suddenly it’s mitten weather!
Hi Nancy. Enjoying your podcasts. Planning on knitting mittens this month as part of my Xmas presents knitting. Appreciate all you do to entertain us.😀🇨🇦
The yarn in wine, it’s no big deal, good way to get more fibre in your diet 😂🤣 Loving the Spector, it’s really gorgeous with the fade! And the field sweater is so lovely I might even consider doing one myself! It’s gotta join the queue!
Thanks for keeping me company 💕 in was just so surprised to see it in my glass 🥂 I've finished my Field and worn it a couple of times and haven't melted 🙃 so hopefully I'll get lots of wear out if it this winter
It is the start of mitten season here in Alberta. I do like wearing fingerless mitts, I will put them over my leather gloves for and extra layer of warmth. I always enjoy your podcast and love all the sock patterns too!
That is the advantage of them for sure. My Mum actually wants a pair to keep her arthritic hands warm and perhaps less painful...we shall see! Thanks for keeping me company Laura 💕
I enjoy watching your podcasts. Your wip of yolk sweater is cute, I love how you make it obvious which is front and which is back. I've never tried making mitten before, would love to try it someday.
Hey there! 👋 Finally catching up with you! Love all your knitting and your cheeky acquisitions! Leave no yarn behind! 😘 I plan on making that mitten pattern, hopefully in Dec!
Hi Nancy, no lunch today. Instead, I am using some early afternoon time to knit some more of the secret socks for my husband for Christmas. When in Devon on holiday bought 4 lots of socks yarn (2 for each of us) from Wool on the Exe. His Christmas socks are from a special from John Arbon yarns Cornwall. As for mittens, I have never knitted either a mitten or glove in all the years I have been knitting. Something I think I should correct. Thanks for a fun episode while I knit. Definitely a chilly day here. Sx
Secret Socks...so fun!! My husband is always warm and I've only ever knit him 1 pair and he never wears them. Thanks for visiting with me again and happy knitting 💕
Stitched by Mrs D has recently finished a advent skeins blanket, using the Attic24 Cosy Stripes pattern, by adding a off white in between each colour and it’s fabulous! I plan on making on with this years’ offerings. A nice way of calming/uniting/extending the yarns. Sorry, didn’t mention the Mitten thing, which I do love! Got to have the finger tips covered, even if the ends fold back!
How perfect is your gift-away. I also want to make those mittens. I think they will make beautiful gifts. I want a pair for myself as well. Thank you for your entertaining podcast and the chance to win the yarn & mitten pattern.
That's a lovely mitten pattern - and yes, I have to agree, fingerless mitts are useful for a such a short time here in Canada and then full mitten (s) are necessary!
Thanks for spending some time with me Gail 💕 I may have to eat my words because my Mum has asked for a pair of fingerless to keep her arthritic knuckles warm
I fell in love with the Zweig when I saw Leanne, the knitty stew's Zweig last year. It was the first sweater that I really wanted the end product (I'm a process knitter and gift most of my projects). I waited until I got the right yarn and finally cast it on last month. It's almost done, I'm just playing around with how I want to finish the sleeves. I don't want such a long piece of ribbing and I also want a bit of colourwork there. So for the ribbing I'm doing 8 rounds with the knit sts with the CC. The last 2 rounds only in MC. Just yesterday I was looking at Zweig projects, specifically at the sleeves and then... there was Nancy! And today watching your podcast there you are again with your Zweig 😁. I did the X pattern on the body (tonal colour) but not on the sleeves. Looking forward to seeing your 2nd Zweig. I love this pattern. It's easy to follow and the fit is perfect. I'm making it with very little ease. It's my 1st Caitlin Hunter and I would definitely look into making more of her patterns.
Thanks for hanging out with me Colette❣️ Leanne's Zweig did inspire me to start planning a second version 🤓 I was cruising Ravelry as well and there are loads of sleeve modifications. I don't know if I will do the long ribbing again. Happy knitting 🧶
I love stitching with you. I'm currently making a fingerless mitten while watching you today. Menopause is the worst. I wish they'd told us more about it earlier! 😢
Haha...just because I was saying that I don't find them useful 😂 It's the Canadian weather's fault 😂 I didn't realize how much it was going to impact daily life...and you're right, no one tells you!
Love your Field sweater, Nancy! I have not knit mittens in a few years already! I think I will knit a colorwork mitten to see if it look ok, no puckering for my grand baby. I need to find a pattern that tell me how to attach the two mittens with an i-cord so the little mittens would not get lost! One of these days, I want to try Selbu mittens!
I went through a prolific Selbu phase a few years ago! So great to be able to play with colourwork in smaller projects. You could even do a crochet chain string with 3 or 4 strands to attach the mittens to 🤔
I'm in Quebec and I like fingerless mitts that can fold and unfold to cover the tips of your fingers when needed (like when you're driving and the steering wheel is cold) but of course these work for early to mid Fall or for Spring, not for late Fall or Winter. Oh and.. Mitten 😄
Haha...love that last little afterthought ❣️ I'm actually going to be knitting a pair just like that. My Mum has requested a pair to keep her arthritic knuckles warm. I need to dig through and find some nice soft sock yarn that will wash and wear well 🤔🤓
Nancy, love your channel and projects. Living down here in Texas makes mitten wearing not very necessary. A few days maybe over the course of the winter. I am not a native (job brought me down) and a do miss having one good snow, just one and then it needs to warm up.😂
Thanks so much for visiting with me 💕 I feel the same...a little atmospheric snow around Christmas for a few days and then I'm done 🤣🤣 Not very realistic for where I live 🤓
Nanc, please be kind to yourself! I started menopause in my early 40s. I am now in my 60s and only occasionally get hot flashes. Usually connected to stress. Thank you for your wonderful podcasts. They are very enjoyable!😊
I absolutely love my Red Lace mini set!! Thank you so much for the great deal! Looove all your projects and cant wait to cast on the zweig sweater! Just need to clean off the Yoke of my Field 😂. Yours is looking gooorgeous! cheers my friend! ❤
Hi Nancy, it is definitely not snowing here 'down under'. We just received some very much needed rain to put out some of the bush fires here in Queensland. The mitten pattern you showed is lovely and it will get cold here eventually so I will put mittens on my to do list.
Seeing you in your beautiful Spector makes me want to cast on mine but I need to finish up at least one sweater first. Maybe in January... Congratulations on the launch of your newest sock pattern, which I have purchased. What a wonderful cause, perfect for this time of year.
Thanks so much 🥰 It is perfect timing for it and the lovely viewer who recommended it reached out, so I got to thank her with a free pattern 💕 I definitely want another Spectre as well, but there's always new things to knit 😉 the struggle is real
Thanks for visiting with me again Marie Elyse 🥰 I'm still knitting versions of Coastal Drift, but I'm wrapping up my gift knitting 🎁

I'll look forward to seeing your advent projects on Instagram.

Who couldn’t use another mitten…. Or two!😊 Thanks for another great episode!
Absolutely 💯 ❣️ I love coming to have a chat about all the yarny goodness 🥰

I love how warm mittens keep your hands in the winter!
It makes them the perfect gift to knit 🎁 and so fast to make 🤓 Thanks for spending some time with me 💕
Mitten weather is upon us for sure. Love the blue ones you finished. ❤
Thanks for keeping me company Frances 💕 It's definitely knitwear season...I just got all of my sweaters out of storage and into my closet

When I was a kid growing up my aunt made me a pair of beautiful handmade mittens every Christmas and I loved them to death.
Knitted gifts are the best 🎁 Thanks for hanging out with me ❣️

Mittens are a lovely winter accessory! The best bonus of catching up with the episodes is that I can participate in your giveaways. Cheers
Yay!!! Thanks Jacqueline 🌸 Glad you're not sick of me yet 🤣
Cheers Nancy. Love your chat and sharing. It does get cold enough here Downunder, in winter to wear at least wear fingers less mittens. Would love to try the lovely yarn in your generous giftwaway. So MITTEN it is!
Thanks for spending some time with me Trish 💕 and maybe I'll be sending you yarn and a pattern 🤞😉
Thank you Penny 🥰 I'm still pondering my advent options and hopefully I'll have some sort of plan next time I come to talk to you 🤓
The mitten pattern looks great. Love your podcasts and your natural style, also enjoy your video clips at the end of your podcasts.
Thanks for spending some time with me Paula 💕 I appreciate your very kind words 🥰
Hi Nancy! Oh wow that orange will make some beautiful accessories with that mitten pattern :) Well done for getting through that sweater-shawl; a true labour of love! x x x
Helloooo 👋 I'm not a big orange fan, but that 🧡 is amazing❣️ Sam has picked up the sweater scarf and I'm just waiting for her to send me pictures of her wearing it 🤓
Congratulations on the new sock pattern, the coastal drift mitten looks great. Thank you for keeping me company today while I had my morning coffee.
I love coming to have a chat 💕 Happy knitting 🧶
What a lovely mitten pattern - it’d look brilliant in the pumpkin coloured yarn 🧶
Isn't it?!?! Such a fun knit❣️ Thanks for hanging out with me again Amanda 💕
The mittens are lovely and that pattern will look gorgeous in both those yarns.
I agree Sally❣️❣️ Thanks for hanging out with me again 💕
Now I have to start a pair of Hermione socks - my favorite sock pattern. I agree that it is perfect for variegated yarn.
Lol...sorry to do that do you 🤣 Happy Hermione knitting 🧦
I too love a full mitten. I get cold finger tips and I’m only in southern England!
I wonder if you have a sock set and larger foot if you could do the leg pattern of you Drunken Cube and not the stripes on the foot and have enough yarn? 🤔
I’ve knit a ton of fingerless mitts but now look forward to knitting mittens for the family. Love the color of your Field Sweater.
Thanks for keeping me company Dorothy 💕 I finished my Field and I've worn it a couple of times. Thankfully it's not too hot 🤓 Happy m*n knitting 🧶🧶
Love the mittens. I saw a pair of these mitten in my local yarn shop done in a.color your daughter would love. Camel color. GREAT PODCAST
Thanks for spending some time with me Nancy 💕 Sam loves all the boring colours 🤣🤣
That mitten pattern is beautiful! Finishing my first knitted socks while enjoying your video. Mittens are on my wish list to try.
Congratulations on your first socks 🧦🎉 Thanks for keeping me company 💕
3 Little Kittens lost their mittens.....what a nice pattern and the colours of the yarn are great
That's brilliant Morgane 🐱🐱🐱 Thanks for spending some time with me 💕
I love a good mitten! At the moment I am watching you and knitting fingerless mittens from sock yarn leftovers.
Perfectly on theme Mara❣️ Thanks for hanging out with me 💕
Those skeins of gift yarn are beautiful! So sad to hear her yarn shop closed. I would love to knit the Mittens. Thank you for another excellent podcast!
Thanks for keeping me company Darcy 💕 They are a very fun, fast knit and perfect for gift knitting 🎁
Love everything every time! 😉Always such a big smile when I see you. Menopause sucks big time. I feel for you! Hang in there!!! 😊
That's very lovely of you to say Helen 🥰 It sure does...I feel like I'm losing my mind with the crazy brain fog!!!
Hi Nancy, I love watching your podcast it is always interesting and fun. You have so many fun colours which would be great for the start of a mitten. Have a super day.
Thanks so much for saying hello Nicole 💕 I appreciate you being here❣️
Another lovely podcast. Thank you. The burnt orange yarn would make a beautiful pair of mitten (s).
It's a pleasure to come and have a chat 💕 Thanks for keeping me company Katherine❣️
Your Coastal Drift Mitten are very beautiful! It's very interesting in different yarns!
Thanks for hanging out with me Sandra ❣️ It's fun to see in different yarns isn't it?!?
Enjoyed your podcast! I love the mitten pattern and would like to make a pair. Always love your scenery videos. Your sock patterns are always amazing and you are very productive. Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks for keeping me company 💕 I'm very lucky to have lots of knitting time and I make excellent use of it 🤣🧶
Hi Nancy. Yet another enjoyable podcast! The Coastal Drift Mitten pattern is beautiful and the 2 skeins of yarn would be ideal for knitting with.
Thanks for keeping me company Margaret 💕 I agree that the yarns would be perfect❣️
Thanks for hanging out with me and I'm glad the heel tip is useful 🧦 I'll "see" you again soon 💕
Congrats on the new pattern release, it’s speaks volumes that you donate the first week proceeds to a charity. Would love to see matching socks for the Coastal Drift mittens 🙂
Thanks very much Chantal 🥰 I love that I am able to do the donation❣️
I resisted a gorgeous mini fade from Rosehill Yarns this week and felt very noble 🤣🤣
Leanne and I have been talking about the love of our daughters and the dislike of this knit 🤓
What a beautiful mitten pattern - ideal for gift giving.
Absolutely 💯 A quick knit and looks great 🤓 Thanks for spending some time with me 💕
Hi oh my both colours would make a lovely mitten ….thanks for sharing ❤😊great podcast as usual 😊those damb hot flash’s !!!!
I agree Marnie...I love both of those yarns 🧶❣️ Thanks for keeping me company 💕
Good to know about Rosie Posie...plus I love the name 🤓
Thanks for keeping me company 💕
I'm smitten with that mitten! Thanks for another great podcast. Watch them all the time.
Thanks Marilyn 💕 It's a pleasure to come and have a chat 🧶
Love the coastal mitten pattern, and those pins are adorable! Yes I ❤Big balls 😂. Love your new socks, and such a perfect charity you selected for the pattern. Hope to test again for you soon! Cheers ❤ xoxo
Thank you Alice❣️ I think we all love them because then there's less ends to weave in 🤣🤣
Happy knitting 🧶
A lovely episode, thank you Nancy. The snow looked lovely but I can imagine it may be tiresome after a while! Your mittens are beautiful. I would love to give them a go ❤
It's a pleasure to come and have a chat 💕 Thankfully it melted...it does make for a long winter when the snow comes early ❄️
Another brilliant episode with lots of beautiful knits 😍
I love the Mittens, I'm in England and I wear gloves from the autumn. My fingers get so cold. We have a horrible damp cold over here.
Thanks for keeping me company 💕 So many people love fingerless mitts...I assume I'm missing something 🤓
Thanks Anji!! I love to come and have a chat about all the yarnie things 🧶
Love the coastal drift mitten pattern. I have recently acquired a rescue cat and being a knitter I have kept the name she came with - Mittens.
That's perfect Wendy❣️ It's like it was meant to be 🤓
A mitten made of either color would keep my mitts so toasty!
Absolutely 💯 Thanks for hanging out with me Karen❣️
hi Nancy I love your work , I am also knitting a field sweater but making the summer version as we are into our summer here in Australia. I love to see your enjoying Australian wine ! I enjoy making mittens and have mitten plans for our coming winter. I hope to visit Canada one day soon . oxo
Thanks for spending some time with me Michele 💕 I do love summer knits 🌞 quite possibly more than full sweaters 🤔
Thanks for sharing your knitting projects including the mitten and cross stitch. I really enjoy Hands on Design patterns as well.
It's such a pleasure for me to come and have a chat 💕 Thanks for keeping me company ❣️
Oh that purple! 💜The mitten pattern is lovely Perfect pairing
Thanks for hanging out with me💕 And I agree...the purple is so good 💜💜
Hi Nancy, your snowfall sweater scarf is lovely, I'm sure my daughter would love one but not sure I could face the ribbing!
Thanks very much Laura 🥰 I appreciate it. Happy knitting 🧶
Love all your socks! The mitten yarn is also beautiful as is the pattern.
Thank you 😊 I am glad to hear that you like the socks 🧦
Hi Nancy, lovely episode as always. I too am finishing off wips so I can cast on a few projects for me in December too. Beautiful necklace and love the mitten, they brought back memories of when my mum used to knit them for me and my sister when we were younger. Have a wonderful week ❤❤❤
Hello Linda ❣️ You're always so good at leaving me a lovely comment 🥰 I'm a terrible lurker and forget to say hello when i visit you...terrible!!! I will try to do better 💕
@@knitsiphappy No worries Nancy, hugs from a cold and wet UK xxx
Your socks and sweaters are great!! I like your mitten turned fingerless glove. I’ve purchased your latest sock pattern!! 🧶♥️🧦♥️🧶. You’re so lucky to have honey crisp apples so close!
Thanks for keeping me company 💕 and for your very kind words. I hope you love knitting your Crooked Cubes 🧦
I love the coastal drift mitten pattern! It's so pretty, and looking forward to seeing how your fingerless mitts version turns out. Love your crooked cube sock pattern too!
Thanks for hanging out with me Katie 💕 The first fingerless mitt will be frogged! I had to find some other stash yarn 🙄😕
Love the Mitten pattern. I just finished a gift hat pattern and should have enough yarn to add mittens as a gift with the hat. Love your podcasts. ❤
Thanks for visiting with me again Jacqueline 💕 That's a great idea to have less leftovers as well...win/win!!
Hi Nancy I love your podcasts you always make me happy. your coastal mitten pattern is great ..Thanks for sharing🥰
That's lovely of you to say Beverley 🥰 I love coming and having a chat, which I think is why they are always so long 🤓🙃
A great mitten pattern!
Sigh 😕...I know!!!! Time is just flying by. Thanks for visiting with me again Marina 💕 I love to come and have a chat
Hi Nancy. Enjoying your podcasts. Planning on knitting mittens this month as part of my Xmas presents knitting. Appreciate all you do to entertain us.😀🇨🇦
Thanks for spending some time with me again Anne 💕 They are such quick knits for presents and very useful❣️ I do love to come and have a chat 🤓
The yarn in wine, it’s no big deal, good way to get more fibre in your diet 😂🤣
Loving the Spector, it’s really gorgeous with the fade! And the field sweater is so lovely I might even consider doing one myself! It’s gotta join the queue!
Thanks for keeping me company 💕 in was just so surprised to see it in my glass 🥂
I've finished my Field and worn it a couple of times and haven't melted 🙃 so hopefully I'll get lots of wear out if it this winter
The coastal drift mitten pattern is lovely. Keep a fingerless version when you want to knit in the car!
Excellent idea 💡 Thanks for spending some time with me 💕
It is the start of mitten season here in Alberta. I do like wearing fingerless mitts, I will put them over my leather gloves for and extra layer of warmth. I always enjoy your podcast and love all the sock patterns too!
That's a great idea to layer them Helen 💡 Thanks for keeping me company again 😀
Today my hands have been cold. I liked the idea of your fingerless mittens in hopes they will warm my hands while still allowing me to knit.
That is the advantage of them for sure. My Mum actually wants a pair to keep her arthritic hands warm and perhaps less painful...we shall see!
Thanks for keeping me company Laura 💕
Congrats on the release of your new sock pattern. It’s beautiful! I’d love to knit a mitten with one of those yarns!
Thanks very much Cathy 🧦 We'll see what we can do about the yarn 😉🙃
Always lovely to spend time with you. Love the mitten!
Thanks so much for hanging out with me again 💕 I love coming and having a chat 🤓
I enjoy watching your podcasts. Your wip of yolk sweater is cute, I love how you make it obvious which is front and which is back. I've never tried making mitten before, would love to try it someday.
Thanks so much for visiting with me 💕 They are a quick knit in the DK yarn...that's for sure
Lovely podcast as always, Nancy 🥰. I love the Coastal Drift mitten pattern, so pretty 🩷
Thank you Theresa 😊 Such a fun, fast knit❣️
Hey there! 👋 Finally catching up with you! Love all your knitting and your cheeky acquisitions! Leave no yarn behind! 😘 I plan on making that mitten pattern, hopefully in Dec!
Hi Joanne 👋 Thanks for keeping me company 💕 And I have more acquisitions for next week 🙄
Thanks for hanging out with me ❣️ Yes...using a neutral yarn does calm down the craziness of mini skein projects 🤓
Thank you for that lovely Podcast❣️
I also love that mitten pattern
It's a pleasure to come and have a chat 💕 It's such a fun, fast knit as well❣️
How perfect is your gift-away. I also want to make those mittens. I think they will make beautiful gifts. I want a pair for myself as well. Thank you for your entertaining podcast and the chance to win the yarn & mitten pattern.
Thanks for keeping me company Maureen 💕 They are such a fast knit, so perfect for gift knits 🎁
I’m enjoying a glass of wine while knitting Coastal Drift mitten & watching your podcast ! You’re such a lovely enabler ❤
Haha!!! I love that❣️ Thanks for keeping me company and happy knitting 🧶
Oh. Nancy that yarn would be perfect for mittens especially the purple.
Thanks for hanging out with me Wendy 💕 Definitely agree about the 💜💜
That's a lovely mitten pattern - and yes, I have to agree, fingerless mitts are useful for a such a short time here in Canada and then full mitten (s) are necessary!
Thanks for hanging out with me Colette❣️ Leanne's Zweig did inspire me to start planning a second version 🤓
I was cruising Ravelry as well and there are loads of sleeve modifications. I don't know if I will do the long ribbing again.
Happy knitting 🧶
I love stitching with you. I'm currently making a fingerless mitten while watching you today. Menopause is the worst. I wish they'd told us more about it earlier! 😢
Haha...just because I was saying that I don't find them useful 😂 It's the Canadian weather's fault 😂
I didn't realize how much it was going to impact daily life...and you're right, no one tells you!
Oh and.. Mitten 😄
Haha...love that last little afterthought ❣️
I'm actually going to be knitting a pair just like that.
Thank you Lena❣️ It's definitely more of a journey than I anticipated 😬🤓 It's a pleasure to come and have a chat 💕
I absolutely love my Red Lace mini set!! Thank you so much for the great deal! Looove all your projects and cant wait to cast on the zweig sweater! Just need to clean off the Yoke of my Field 😂. Yours is looking gooorgeous! cheers my friend! ❤
I'm so happy they've found a good home finally 🤓 I am keen to get my Zweig going as well❣️ Can't wait to catch up with your next episode 💕
Hi Nancy, it is definitely not snowing here 'down under'. We just received some very much needed rain to put out some of the bush fires here in Queensland. The mitten pattern you showed is lovely and it will get cold here eventually so I will put mittens on my to do list.
Thanks for visiting with me Dianne❣️ I hope you keep getting rain to keep the fires away 🤞
We had snow here in Newfoundland last week had to dig out a mitten pattern and cast on a pair. Glad to see you and all your beautiful makes.
It seems early this year doesn't it June?!? Happy knitting 🧶
