    I personally interpret Strife's near shooting of Death's head in the novel as him lashing out at his older brother for running away from his emotions for 500 years, leaving Strife when he CLEARLY NEEDED SOMEBODY WHO WOULD'VE UNDERSTOOD, TO TALK TO ABOUT ALL THE CRAP THEY WENT THROUGH. But since Death ran off seemingly without telling ANYONE where he was going or why, that likely left some resentment there.
    Not to mention if Strife had been given leadership, who's to say that didn't just ADD ONTO his already existing stress and emotional strain? Strife AGAIN could've and WOULD'VE asked for help from Death if he KNEW WHERE HE WAS OR HOW TO CONTACT HIM. But again, neither was seemingly possible. Leading to Strife's outburst.
    Strife isn't pissed that Death is trying to lead like everything's normal. He's angry that Death isn't ACKNOWLEDGING JACK SHIT about anything he was up to or how his siblings were feeling. Which given that Death refused to leave the matter open to ANY discussion, yeah. Could definitely have came off as Death just not caring about his siblings' feelings in this moment. Which may have hit Strife EXTREMELY hard given how important feelings seem to be for him. He probably wanted acknowledgement from Death regarding what had happened during the 500 years he was missing. Acknowledgement of their family and how affected everyone, Death included, was by all that went down. Finally, he wanted acknowledgement from Death directly was to why he was ACTING LIKE EVERYTHING WAS STILL NORMAL. Strife could possibly have been hurt by Death's utter refusal to acknowledge anything about the pain any of them have or did have. Strife may have also still been reeling from everything during Genesis ON TOP of Eden. Strife and Death likely could understand each other the best, and likely do despite their differences. It would certainly explain why Strife is 'sulking' in the novel afterward. Just not for the reason we think.
    He's not upset because Death 'shamed' him. He's upset because his eldest brother, who again, likely understood him better than most, MISSED THE MEMO BADLY. He wasn't able to get proper closure on everything with Death like he did War. Hell this may have been the moment that Strife and Death began having problems getting along. If not even more than before. Death wanted to bury the past and forget it, but was also living in a MASSIVE ASS REMINDER FOR A HOME. Whilst Strife clearly knew a healthier option through his time with War in Genesis. Only to be heartbroken by his elder brother seemingly NOT GIVING A SHIT ABOUT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE PAST, FEELINGS INCLUDED. Death didn't exactly indicate any pain or reveal it as Strife about shot his head off. So it could've come off as Death not caring, which would certainly have stung.
    Forgive me ONCE AGAIN for the massive info dump and if my cohesion isn't great.

      I love when fans of Darksiders show clear love for the Horsemen like this. Even though, Strife is probably the most enigmatic in terms of plot connection, he is easily the one that's worked in the background the most.
      And on Death, I would like to add more to your assessment of him because it makes a lot of sense in terms of his character at the time. Death definitely is empathetic and compassionate, which like you said, would make him understanding his Strife more likely as they're older than Fury and War. Yet it's because of Death's insistence to mask his emotions behind this cold facade to prop up his image of executioner and reaper is what drags him and his other siblings apart. Yes, he cares for them, as the whole point of Darksiders 2 is exactly that but at the time of the novel, he really wanted to deal with the Abomination Vault on his own for fear of having the knowledge of the existence of the Vault could bring to his siblings. Case in point, War died in the novel due to his involvement in the vault. Of course, he came back to life thanks to Death but it shows that Death made a lot of mistakes in the novel.
      But in Darksiders 2, his character growth showed him tossing aside the stoic and cold demeanor as time goes on, and embrace his empathy as we see him do with the Guardian and Karne.
      There is a video called Darksiders The Beauty of Death and it's a really good analysis of Death's character and growth.
      And to end this ramble, Strife's my favorite haha

    I like to think that after being tricked into activating the Animus, Strife felt responsible for the corruption of humanity. He secretly spent centuries helping them in small ways and grew to appreciate and understand them. He is trigger happy, he just doesn't want to kill innocent people again and thus he developed compassion for humans.
    Come in the apocalypse, Strife abandoned the Council to make his own plans with the Makers to protect humanity, becoming Jones to hide from the Council as he followed his own agenda. After Fury becomes humanity's protector, Strife somehow (let's say an Oracle or something that let him see the future) knew that War and Death would need help in their future journeys, so he decided to leave his pistols behind with specific instructions for them to be given to War and Death and worked behind curtains to ensure that Fury, Death and War played their parts in saving humanity. When the seveth seal was broken, Stife was summoned and as planned, Death and War will return his guns and Strife will lay down the plan he has been hatching all these years.

    I think Strife knew they were being played, and asked the Makers to care for his guns, with the instruction that if they encountered Death (needing to know redemption for his deeds in Eden) or War (who grants mercy only to those who uphold the balance or have honor), to give them to his brothers, who will use them well. Afterward, he probably gave his life (with twin blades and Anarchy form) defiantly facing the Destroyer's army.

      If you play one of the DLCs in Darksiders 2, there is a person called “Hunter”. This Hunter looks almost (if not exactly) like Jones from Darksiders 3. I figured that what happened was that after holding off the Destroyers armies, Strife kept a Human appearance to stay on the down low. Trying to hide upon seeing Death, Strife realized he probably wasn’t going to survive for much longer alone and asked for his brother to give him a mercy killing while still acting like strangers.

    Note 1) I'd like to see a game like Genesis featuring Death & Fury, since their relationship is the only one that hasn't been explored yet, besides that Fury wants to take leadership from Death. In DS3 Fury states, they shared a room once, which could be the same mission that they were onto at the time of Genesis.
    Note 2) I noticed all Horsemen while showing different dynamics towards each other, they deeply care for one another:
    - Death takes great measures to protect his siblings;
    -Strife tries to open his siblings eyes for the agendas around them and tries to keep them from becoming tools;
    - Fury disciplines everyone who disrespects or dishonours her siblings;
    - War always gives his best to support his siblings in any affair.
    They truly see aech other as family despite hardly expressing it to each other, making them a bunch of pretty normalsiblings with very hard shells.

    Did anybody else notice that when Strife revealed himself and Darksiders 3 it seems like he placed himself there knowing Fury would be there and that he had an inside onto what was going on with the council which means his gun showing up in the other two games was probably a choice decision knowing that war and death would need to borrow them which means a Darksiders 4 game could potentially show the moments that he sets up the events which leads to the end of the first Darksiders game which means we could potentially see a game where Strife was working against the council to break the Horseman seal

He’s almost always questioning his missions, he struggles with anger and impatience as we do, and he seems to care for his brethren. Don’t get me wrong they all say they care for one another but Strife always seems to want to help his siblings. For example: Darksiders 3 He completely rearranged Fury’s mind to show her the truth. And well gives his guns to his two brothers War & Death. Idk, maybe it’s just me.

    My thoughts are that after the end of Darksiders 3 that Strife fought with the Makers to defend Fury and the last of living humanity.
    However, I suspect he might’ve been defeated and his lost both his signature guns. Maybe he tried to 1v1 The Destroyer/Abbadon, but failed.
    I don’t think he was slain (though he could’ve been and later resurrected) but lost both his weapons.
    Where is he now? No idea. I have no evidence for this but I think he may ended up in the Abyss after his defeat.
    It’s one of the few major places in Creation that has been heavily mentioned that has not been explored. Afterall, it’s where the Chosen and a chunk of the Destroyer’s forces come from.

    • @docomega7862

      It's an interesting theory. I think strife would've been used in a special way by the charred council. He would be used to destabilized the different powers, not just to give enough time for humanity to grow but to make the council stronger. Because of that he would be the mist distrustful of the council. At the same time, in secret, he would help humanity grow faster, in case one of the other powers would try anything. He would especially do that as he would consider humanity as the new nephilim, a people he has to protect to avoid losing all those he loves again. When war is framed, he chooses to leave and disguise himself as a human. Eventually, he comes in contact with some kind of oracle which lets him see bits of the future, like death restoring humanity. Therrefore, he gives his guns to the makers, to be given to his brothers to help them in their quest. He would then be defeated and sent to the abyss. But he would be saved by vulgrim of all people who would claim that he only did it because he wanted a champion. He would then tell him to go to the abyssal forge (if we consider it is inside the abyss) as he knows there is a maker there who could forge him new guns. He would take the guns but those wouldn't be his last as they are not as they are not as powerful as the one he had before. He would then be sent by vulgrim to investigate on a strange soul causing chaos within the abyss. He would confront the soul that would be revealed as being death cursed to wait for the seventh seal to be broken, neither truly dead or alive. He would propose to give redemption back to strife but he would refuse, seeing it as a weapon of the council. Later, he would be introduced to the abyssal council, of which vulgrim is a member. This council is kinda the opposite of the charred council, defending the idea of chaos. Chaos is more or less the same thingas balance but balance through constant struggle and war because each power would be free to do as they want. The abyssal council was the ones to send the nephilim on their conquest as they were the very embodiement of chaos. But, when the nephilim were destroyed and peace was made, the abyssal council was locked within the abyss. Strife being mad at the charred council would follow their orders and destroy some demons and angels. To me, the abyss would be made of ruins of the powers that fell, for example their could be some angel city destroyed and absorbed by the abyss, or a demon lord sent there after his defeat. By fighting so much, he would collect energy. This energy was to be given to the abyssal council to, as they claim, weaken the charred council. But, strife would realize they only wish to take revenge, destroying what is left of humanity on the way. He would give the energy he collected to the maker of abyssal forge letting him create two guns as powerful as redemption and mercy, betrayal and rebellion. With his new guns, he ould destroy the abyssal council, except for vulgrim who would be spared as he still has a role to play. Then, he would be summoned when the seventh seal is broken, after becoming the lord of the abyss

In the same way Absalom is labelled the “Avatar of Chaos”, Death could simply be the contracted form of a similar title.

    I feel like Strife’s game (hopefully coming out soon🙏) will be taking place in the future and past considering how in DS3 he has both weapons as he was holding back the invasion in haven for fury and the humans to escape. After they left, he left Ulthane Mercy to give to war and goes on a journey which somehow takes him to the Makers world revealing how the makers have redemption in their possession which Death later acquires in DS2. Hopefully they fill those parts in the next game.

    I’m pretty certain that by the time the final seal was broken and War summoned the other horsemen they were also dead. So War died, being killed by Uriel and she then broke the seal bringing him back. Death resurrected humanity by sacrificing his life, also being resurrected by the seventh seal. Now as for Fury and Strife, my theory is that Strife died when helping Fury and the rest of humanity escape, hence why both War and Death received his 2 pistols. He was then resurrected by the seventh seal as well. And finally Fury, I believe she may have fallen while trying to protect humanity wherever they might have gone after the end of DS3 and like the others was resurrected by the seventh seal. Whether this is the case or not I still think it’d be an interesting concept and explain at least somewhat as to where and why the other horsemen were never present during the events of the games

      There have been sarcastic, playful, wry characters who made commentary on the things around them in fiction long before Deadpool. I find Strife to be far more interesting than Deadpool because DP is ALWAYS the same, which is fine, but Strife has moments of anger, annoyance, disappointment, poignancy, and generally emotes on a wider range than DP in most incarnations.

    13:11 This is a theory that I have about why the angels were in Eden in the first place. Not sure if you all agree, but this is what I think...
    I'm guessing that the angels stationed to Eden, like Astarte who was meant to guard it until Lucifer tricked her into helping him, were meant to guide the humans that were supposed to stay in Eden about the knowledge of their world. However, they never got a chance to do so because of the invasion of the Nephilim. The Nephilim got jealous about it because they didn't have a world to claim as their own and so they attacked Eden. The humans, still new to the world and the universe, had to be removed from Eden for their protection but their minds were erased or rewritten and they know nothing about it or what's going on, which makes sense as to why they were not ready for the apocalypse and the end of the world in the beginning of the game.
    And since the invasion of the Nephilim, the angels had to protect Eden and its secrets from anyone who would use it against all of creation. As Abaddon once said, "Charged with guarding this realm from further invasions. Protecting its secrets from heathens."
    Now, if the invasion didn't happened, the humans would have full knowledge of the universe and all of its creations, such as demons, angels, the makers, the charred council, the Nephilim, and so on... and they would have been ready for the apocalypse at the right time when it was supposed to be, not before. You know, not so early in the timeline like in the game where Abaddon broke the seals too early and unleashed all hell on Earth. And if the invasion never happened, there would have been no such place as Earth, the new homeworld to the humans.

    So I just thought about it and what if the classic phrase of the hero dies in the end what if that has to do with the many unknown histories of strife that he's just these mythic characters with different identities that always supposedly die in the end and it comes to find out later that that mythical hero ends up being strife and the phrase said by Samuel is actually not referring to war but is a nice nod and when he tells death ask your brother he's actually referring to strife and his many lives and in the end that is why strife the whole time in Darksiders 3 was hiding as a human because he takes humans as a species always underplayed and seeing the modern-day humans lifestyle he realized that they were a peaceful race that cared not for annihilating another species or Creator made race so when humanity was betrayed since he was already there he built Haven with the repentant maker ulthane and the hero who died in the end could have been remark to stripes "official" death after the one scene in Three and as a supposed nod to the supposedly unannounced final game where strife has the leading role and does the one thing he might have been pushing towards telling war he wanted to be during Genesis thus all those hidden meanings are now laid bear... I would love to you guys thoughts on this

    I wonder, does how does Strifes super-form even work? War is engulfed in or turned into Flames, Death becomes the Reaper, and Fury is writhed in energy. But none of them have Super-forms that are too far out-there. Sure Death looses his legs and gains a skeletal visage and a cloak, but you can kinda imagine Death metamorphosising into it, with some magical assistance for the cloak. But Strife gains a Gattling Gun for an arm, rocket launchers in his "body", and a Tail with a Particle-cannon (or something similar) built in- it's VERY difficult to imagine how that possibly works. It's not a simple matter of writhing himself in semi-solid flames or reallocating his body tissues and proportions.
    Is it purely a mystical ability that he was born with or was given? Is the super-form a Manifestation of his Personality?
    Or did he have to undergo alchemic, spiritual, and potentially genetic modifications in order to literally have Firearms built-into his Super-form?
    If it's the last one, damn, he's a chad. Can't imagine how frustrating, stressful, and outright painful that must be.

    • @TrueMastersandMorons

      @@TrueMastersandMorons I don't take things that aren't said in universe too seriously, because one day they say one things and a year later they say the opposite- Word of God isn't worth much to me. And magic is honestly just a lazy answer. Like, the Super Form could've easily just been a giant stat-boost yet Strife ie affected physically in a MASSIVE way. Like growing a tail with a laser built-in. So, I'm left to wonder; how?
      Why does Strifes form function the way it does compared to ghe other Horsemen's forms. Are the forms a manifestation of the Horseman's personality, or did the Council have them make a blueprint for their Super Forms before giving it to them? Do their genetics influence the Super Forms appearance and specific abilities? Or are those differences the result of the Horsemen using the same form in such radically different ways for so long and it adapting?
      And do you want to know what the answers to all these questions have in common?

Ezequiel 38:15-23. Apoc 20:10.

    Strife and DOOM guy/slayer would be best friends but probably wouldn't like his chaos form because he looks a bit like a cyberdemon

    I'd like you to do a video on Moloch when more info is available. I want to know the backstory on how he and Samael became rivals.

    I believe that strife was killed by Abadon at the last scene of Darksiders 3 where he stays behind to halt the demon assault. Probably putting up a good fight and maybe even used his power up form but killed by Abadon. Only coming back to life after the seals were broken again in the end of Darksiders 1.
