Perhaps the right thing to do then would be to patent the formula for the supplement but then permanently shelve it so no one else can benefit or profit from your work, then just share the info of how it works and how to live your life better on hundreds of podcasts at your own cost, hoping that the people the information will help the most will watch it and have the intelligence and patience to understand it? I don't necessarily disagree with your ethics or point of view, but what other way is there where you can help as many people as possible and prevent others from profiting from your work? Or should all people with a good idea hand it over for free? In England, we call people like that a mug. The cost of living is high. There's no way in hell I would miss out on the chance to make money if it increased my families standard of living or just made our lives a little bit easier. But yeah, conflict of interest all day long.

It really isn't that hard. Think ancestral. Think back to before food was grown in places in isn't meant to grow and shipped from all pockets of the earth. What did your ancestors eat? I'm from Hawaii and the Polynesians thrived on an island for over 2000 documented years(probably longer) with no food being shipped to them. They ate what grew on the island, whatever animals were available. On the contenintal USA, what did native amercians eat. I think knowing the answers to those questions will direct you better than any "science" or "expert." Today, everyone has something to sell to you, whether it's the medical industry, sugar, pharma, etc. I stopped listening to "science" and "experts" the moment I learned any outcome can be bought by industries.

Says he was in sardinia for a while, and goes to someone's home, presented with yet another plate asks "whats going on here? you eat more meat than i do, but the studies say your meat consumption is low!"
Turns out they dont consider all their preserved meats sausages etc to be "meat" they only consider it "meat" when they have that big sunday gathering of friends and family and roast an animal.

Turns out that they have a significant variant in a gene associated with negative cardiovascular health worldwide, but as luck would have it, their variant results in better cardio outcomes. The most useful paper i came across was by a Professor Hall who indicated that iron accumulation can be prevented by making regular blood donations, resulting in much lower "all cause mortality" across the whole age range.

That’s a pre-pandemic number. I wouldn’t doubt if it’sworse since . In fact, for the approximate half of the increase calories that come from fat, that seed oil rather than refined animal CAFO fattened animal fats drive it likely means that cardiovascular risk reduction associated plant-based polyunsaturated fats have likely made the cardiovascular risk associated with calorie driven metabolic syndrome less bad. If the same rise in fat calories was driven by atherogenic particle increased driving palmitic acid rich animal based fats I bet it would be a lot worse.

While they did not describe the involvement of iron at the time, oxytosis and ferroptosis are today thought to be the same cell death mechanism."

I did some research and we put him on raw goat's milk that I found at a Russian food market. That worked. He is now 10 years old and healthy. When I cook for him, I always include health fats from quality grass fed butter, good olive oil and meats. She also mentioned that fiber can be used by gut bacteria to make fatty acids; in particular beta hydroxybutyrate. That's true. One great way to get fiber is resistant starch from potatoes or rice that was cooked then refrigerated. Not only is the carb count reduced but the resistant starch goes to the gut to be fermented into butyrate that nourishes the cells that line the epithelial cells that line the intestinal walls. It helps heal leaky gut. That's a great win-win.

The title of the video is COMPLETELY WRONG, and can lead to misinterpretation that can affect some people with no knowledge in biochemistry or physiology. Of course High Dietary glucose, fructose or similar carbohydrates do contribute to insulin Resistance, Dr Watson NEVER said that sugar was not the cause of insulin resistance. Ferroptosis plays an important role in the development and progression of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and complications. but it doesn't mean that the harmful addictive food named sugar is not one of the causes of Insulin Resistance. Real Nutrition is very complex, for example Iron interacts with: Vit, C, Calcium Zinc, Copper, Manganese Phytates, Polyphenols, Folate, Some mineral excesses can cause other deficiencies, for example excess of Iron can cause Copper deficiency, with all implications such as: anemia, low body temperature, bone fractures, osteoporosis, low white blood cell count, irregular heartbeat, loss of melanin with all its implications, thyroid problems. Excess of Calcium can cause magnesium deficiency, Excess of Magnesium can cause Manganese deficiency an its implications.... and so on.

Much appreciated for providing this fascinating interview. Here's what was left out. Cholesterol in cell and organelle membranes is specifically there for reinforcement; i.e., for stability. Hence, one of the many dangers of taking a statin.
One of the minor yet important roles of transmembrane proteins, like G-coupled proteins, is stability of the fragile bilayer phospholipid membrane.
Sphingolipid ceramides also protect fragile cell and organelle membranes, although this is through a different mechanism. Ceramides act more like a shield from outside assaults.

After my doctor gave me steroids and antibiotics for my constant tonsil inflammation, I gained 20 lbs in 2 months. I had not changed my diet, in fact I only ate low carb whole foods. I changed my diet to keto whole foods, then I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic. Nothing that I would eat should have caused me to become diabetic since I was eating keto, whole foods. Nothing made sense. Later on I did research on steroids and they actually can damage the pancreas. The pancreas creates insulin and creates digestive enzymes to be able to absorb the nutrients from food. I cannot trust doctors now. If I would have known the side effects that taking steroids and antibiotics would have caused, I would have endured the pain from my tonsils. This later on cause even more issues for me, which thank GOD are all gone. I made changes and these are the ones that literally saved my life.
The only thing that has helped me tremendously has been taking digestive enzymes along with betaine hcl, which the pancreas is supposed to produce. I started taking them in march and I am finally the weight that I used to be in my 20"s. I have been doing keto for 7 years and intermittent fasting for 8 years. I am currently 36 and I have so much energy, no bloating and swelling anymore. There are specific food that I have personally noticed causes inflammation, which I try to avoid. I do eat low carb whole foods. I can now eat fruit and not gain weight!

C15 fatty acids can be found in various food sources, but they are not as common as some of the more abundant fatty acids like C16 or C18. Some sources of C15 fatty acids include:
    1. Dairy products: Some dairy products, such as milk and cheese, contain small amounts of C15 fatty acids.
    2. Meat: Animal products like beef, pork, and poultry contain C15 fatty acids.
    3. Fish: Some types of fish, such as mackerel and herring, contain C15 fatty acids.
    4. Plant oils: Certain plant oils, such as coconut oil and palm oil, contain C15 fatty acids.
It's important to note that C15 fatty acids are not as prevalent in the diet compared to other fatty acids, so they may not contribute significantly to overall fat intake.

I started taking the C15 supplement about 3 months ago. I also eat greek food often, which includes some goat cheese, beef and lamb. I grew up on whole fat dairy (in 1950's-1960's) and my mother hated margarine, so we grew up on butter. What I've noticed in last 3 months is that my mood is steady. I seldom feel any highs or lows in energy or mood, despite menopause and its myriad symptoms. I now feel very stress-free regardless of what is happening. I feel more at ease and many say I look 10 years younger than my real age - 72. I will keep taking it to see what else happens.

My father will be 95 this Feb 2025. He gave up rollerblading at 90 and slalom downhill skiing also at 90 because he hit ice and sped up way too fast. He hikes between 5 to 10 miles nearly every day, he still rides bicycles but has confessed he is using his E bike more. His stress level is very low. he lives in Zurich Switzerland and he eats small meals,3 and some times 2 only each day. He has always kept his portions small. He has never smoked nor drinks alcohol, never drinks fruit juices no any kind of soda. I've never seen him drink coffee or tea, just water and when I was young he also drank milk. He eats cheese, after all he's in Switzerland, but not much meat because it's expensive, plain yogurt, an occasional chocolate, and salad veggies, not much root vegetables ,and not much oxalates. I believe his longevity comes from his active lifestyle, low stress, and no more than necessary diet. All of the women in my family as far as I can know have lived to over 90, but all of my ancestor males never made it to 70 with the exception of my maternal grand father 76, and my father still living at 94. He also drives like a 30 year old, and is very alert. So, I'm not so sure genetics are the main reason he's still with us, instead I believe it's his lifestyle and environment.

This info has been really helpful. I also have three grandchildren and will share this with my daughters. Thankfully we live rather rural and can get fresh milk and grass fed meat from a local butcher and farmers. It’s wonderful! I highly suggest getting a freezer and find a good butcher shop and hit the farmers markets on the weekends. C15:0 is not essentiell, cause the liver makes C15:0 and C17:0 from Propionat.... Propionat is made by gut microbiom from soluble fiber like inulin...
" In contrast, the levels of C15 fatty acid increased by 17 percent after consuming inulin and by 13 percent after consuming propionate. At the same time, blood levels of C17 fatty acids increased by an average of 11 and 13 percent, respectively."
"Taken together, our results provide new insight into the metabolic mechanisms associated with fiber consumption. We were able to show for the first time that humans are also able to produce C15 and C17 fatty acids from the precursor propionate. In addition, the more propionate gets into the liver cells, the more the fatty acid synthesis shifts towards the two fatty acids"
"The microbial breakdown of soluble fiber in the intestine is crucial for the amount of propionate available in the liver,” the scientist continued. “Various studies indicate that propionate improves the insulin sensitivity of the body’s cells. There is therefore much to suggest that there is a causal, biological connection between increased intake of soluble fiber, increased blood levels of C15 and C17 fatty acids and a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes"

Declaration of the amount of C15 in a product is a great idea but there would have to be nuance in the law to take into consideration the difference between Summer and Winter. In the UK, no commercial cows are left out in pasture in the Winter. All are shut indoors and when I asked an organic farmer why this was, because my mother never shut her cow in the barn during the winter, I was told that it was to save money, because the cows would have to be fed so much more commercial feed in order to counteract the cold outdoors.
So, the amount of C15 in milk products must be much higher in the Summer than in the Winter.

That said, I still cannot afford the cost of these supplements and given my already 99% "Mediterranean diet" lifestyle, I don't see a need for them personally. Until there's an easy way to get C-15 levels checked, I'll continue to eat organic, full-fat dairy and occasionally splurge on goat cheese from Italy or France, etc. And I will continue to get lots of diverse fiber in my diet, because she says that our gut bacteria (assuming we have a healthy microbiome), can convert some fats into C-15. I strongly believe that most people do not eat nearly enough fiber, which contributes to so many issues including this so-called deficiency in C-15.

there is no Mediterranean diet its made up. it's a dietary pattern of one group of people, and excluded other diets that also were good for people. It's heavily influenced by vegans, and no where anywhere in Greece was red meat not part of their diets, it's a very small population of people who lived and worked in olive grove communities. we are not those people. Those people had longevity inbreeding and didn't eat junk food and had fresh seafood.

C15.0 (Pentadecanoic Acid an essential fatty acid) is found in meat, especially in BUTTER. Also in lamb, veal and game, sausages and luncheon meats, beef
Top 20 list: Whipped Butter (w salt); Sunflower Oil; Butter; Raw Fresh Lamb; Cooked Fresh Lamb; Cooked Fresh Lamb Seam Fat (all the lamb ones imported from Australia); Raw Veal; Cooked Fresh Lamb; Raw Seam Fat (Grass Fed Beef Australian); Heavy Whipping Cream; Cream Cheese; Raw Fresh Lamb; Cheddar (listed twice for some reason); Raw Grass-Fed Beef; American Cheese (also Cheese another item listed twice); Bearded Seal Oil (Alaska); Swiss cheese; Raw Fresh Lamb Seam Fat and American Cheese.
These are all listed based upon c15.0 per 100g. Whipped Butter has 801 mg per 100g. The lamb starts at 470mg per 100g.
So, it looks like most of the audience here would think of various cheeses, butter, and various meats like lamb and beef. There are supplements labelled "Pantothenic Acid" which have the C15.0 Pentadecanoic Acid.

I think we have to consider seed oil consumption as well. I come from a point where 6 years ago. I weight 200 lbs more, I had severe diabetes. I was on over 300 unit of insulin per day and still had A1C's in the 14's. I had bad knees, but they wouldn't do surgery because of diabetic leg ulcers that would no heat. I was going blind. I had a partially torn rotator cuff in my shoulder. I wen't keto at first but still ate seed oils, because I thought is was only the carbs. I lost weight, and diabetes got better. I was not on insulin any more, but I go macular edema/degeneration. Then I went carnivore for a while, and cut out the seed oils. My eyes have stopped getting worse, I lost more weight. I have lost over 200lbs. My knees and shoulder have healed, no more diabetes (I am on no meds for that anymore and have a normal A1C) I still have highly resistant hypertension. I was on 8 bp meds. Last October my systolic cranked up to 310, and I had a stroke. I recovered fully from the stroke, even though I wouldn't take there statins. I have had CTA Scans, Heart Test, ultrasounds. I have no blockages and my CAC score was 0. Today I have fully recovered from the stroke and I am back to pretty much normal. I am working with a great cardiologist. I have ALWAYS had high BP, even as a teenager. I looks like I may have pulmonary hypertension. It is rare condition, but my EKG will show an inverted ST Wave and peaked P wave when my BP get over 200, which is a primary indicator. I see my cardiologist again Monday. However the solution for Pulmonary Hypertension is simple, although there is no really good test for it. I will have to take a medication 3 times a day to increase blood flow in my lungs.

Just what we don’t need, another company exporting water they probably don’t own that should be fed to cows via plants on the land, so they can clean it and pee it back onto the plants. They say, "Murder your thirst. Death to plastic." and then they use a can, but they don't mention that the water, whatever it's source, or which native people it's stolen from, is then being peed into city drains that make the water dead through more chemical processing and we still have to process the can waste. Please just eat beef from a local farm and say no to all these companies selling plant-based factory slop like tea, coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, pasta, cereal etc. Feed the plants to the animals by leaving it on the land.
