- Artillery is one of the strongest weapons to use in Foxhole, so I decided to make an ammo facility somewhere on the frontlines. It was a risky task but I was ready to try it and I learnt how hard it is to make a frontline facility in Foxhole. Watch how I try to make it work!

Actually you can deposit crates of ammo directly to a pallet, which automatically unpacks them. Very neat compared to loading one by one if you dont have a facility.

@@eMantheman14 I realized far too late last war as well. I was told it was a rather new addition as well, but it actually makes loading from a seaport/depot, over to a pallet super convenient, granted you have them in a private stockpile, as retrieving them from public is still kinda ass, but not as ass. Glad to share the info!
Same works for ammo room in a bunker. You do not need a bunker core to upgrade a square to a ammo room and a second one to entrance/staircase. Crates are more efficient to transport.@@eMantheman14
@@eMantheman14you can also hold 5 more shells by keeping them crated and using the new heavy trucks, and the shell trailer. you need to fill the trailer up too. (normal R-1 haulers work too but they will explode if you get counter artied)

I just started playing again, but when I used to play I always built an ammo facility in forward areas. It's a trade off as only one war where I was not overrun. One of the big failings is no one cares to defend your facility, they take and use the ammo, but trying to keep it safe. "Not their problem"
I like the mindset. Artillery is the king of the battlefield.

You can submit crates directly to an ammo room (bunker) or pallet.

I still keep wondering if it is worth it to lay small gauge rail for ammo trains to the Frontline. They can move ammo around. Probably you should store the materials for the munition factory somewhere save and then build it when it is needed.
Probably you would need a few willing truck drivers to do it really quick.

Awesome video. Very high quality. Also btw you can unpack arty crates into a pallet. So you don't have to make your own shell factory to use pallets

You could also just build far away, grind towards a train, and then deliver artillery shells en mass. But nah, facilities are too hard for solos, without oil you have to babysit them buildings to prevent them from decaying. Learned the lesson the hard way, Train was fun, grind was not.
Yeah solo building in this game and maintaining it is a full time job haha
