Thanks for the video, just had exactly the same issue with my 4.4, same error codes. Only had to drive down the road and the restricted performance came on. I went to a few garages who quoted me to replace the turbos - engine out job. I managed to solve the issue with a bottle of Turbo cleaner fuel additive from Halfords! I lot cheaper. I am realistic that one day the turbos will need replacing but not today. Not sure about the hose, I will have to check to see if i have the same issue.
Sorry to hear there are 'specialists' who say that a new turbo is the only fix. I'm going to change the engine oil every 4000 miles to see if that will help preserve turbo life.
The loose hose isn't the issue. The more he used it freed it up. I've had it happen many times on many diesels. Just put turbo cleaner in now and again especially if not used often.
I had a Jaguar S type 2.7 D that displayed exactly the same symptoms... Embarrassingly! A couple of damn good Goodwood thrashings and hey presto! Problem solved! If we have a cold winter, that Webasto heater is brilliant! Had one on our Evoque here in Belarus! 30 minutes before we left the apartment, start it up in -30C.... Windscreen nearly ice free! Doors openable... Etc.. etc..
@@Woodyrvf750 Trust me.... From now until next May, the Webasto heater will be summoned every day! 🤣🤣 Snow tomorrow probably and that's the end of autumn and the start of another long winter!l 🤔🧐😳
Has your cross over valve got the upgraded non-nut modification that was a technical bulletin? If it has the nut then it needs upgrading. All on full fat forum. You can tell by looking down onto the valve from just right of centre of the radiator. Look where the rod that comes out of the vacuum diaphragm ends on a lever.

I had the same issue when a garage forgot to replace that same hose. I don’t use them now. Glenrands is my go to 😊
Interesting to hear. Maybe that hose is the issue. I'll get a new one ordered.
Could you recommend an online parts catalogue for these L322s?

Great videos, love the l322 4.4 tdv8 westminster.
Thanks. I'm pretty new to the whole RUclips video making experience but enjoying it and learning new things. Glad you fine the vids worth watching
car performs well

-30, that's a bit chilly! I had a BMW E39 530d with the same system although I can't remember if it worked or if I just never needed to use it.

@@JRattheranch probably a good excuse to put some decent tyres on it. It's got different budget tyres on each axle, and the fronts are nearly done.
Fantastic
Thank-you. Nice to think that something I manage to find has prevented what could have been an expensive job for a specialist. Time will tell.
Really recommend putting some turbo cleaner additive in your fuel.
check acuater bellow radiater pipe needs to be tightend GIVE it a good oil on the arm mabey slight grease
I think I need to do a proper smoke test to see if the vacuum system needs any more attention.
Use the paddles in S mode to keep it above 2500rpm 👍👍👍
Good idea. I'll give that a try.
These have the uprated brembo brakes. So if struggling to stop id check them

Hi Rob, I'm pretty sure it's the later sort. But I'll double check tomorrow.
@@Woodyrvf750 Nut = old style. No nut = upgrade. If you're close to Hampshire then I'm happy to take a look-see
Just cut 10mm off the loose pipe!
@@coxy9963 yep, that would work too.
Any smoke out the back above 2500rpm? If not, good. Some smoke like crazy.
No smoke at all. I have been looking out for it.
