You can put in an image or have a full size mini-view of your drawing, and can even color pick and zoom in and stuff on it. Dragging a finger around on the drawing-view also moves where you're looking at on the screen too which is cool
@@NovaShards_Scarlett yeah, but a faster way to enable it is on the upper buttons (where you find the rulers, stabilizer, materials, etc), the first button there's options to enable the reference window, grids, a manga template and if you wish to have a smooth or pixelated work (there's also the terrible AI generator option idea there that fortunately doesn't work anymore and will be removed on next update for obvious reasons-)

I used to draw on my finger with my phone last year, and it's kinda easy! As a artist who's been using sketchbook for a year, I've moved onto ibis. I'm one of the finger on the phone artist and I'll say I have no clue how stylus users are able to handle lineart lol 😅
If u open the layer tab, in the bottom next to background if you click the white square you can change the color of the background to grey so you don't strain your eyes.
Also in the layer tab, underneath the smaller picture of ur drawing to the left of the tabs there's a button that has 2 triangle and an arrow to the right, you can flip the canvas quickly by using that.
I'm using Ibis paint currently as my first ever digital drawing program(very new to digital art, not that good at drawing) and it has been a pretty enjoyable experience so far, but I was not aware of many of the functions and features mentioned in your video, so it was really interesting to see you draw using all of these interesting features. 2:36 Okay, I haven't watched the full video yet, but that little box you got up here and the mini canvas, you can see the flip button below that, and yeah that's the thing you were looking for.
Fun fact: if you create a layer on top of the layer with lineart and sketch, fill it in with the color red (or whatever color you use for sketch) and select “divide” as the blending it should get rid of it Rip if your sketch is the same color as your lineart

Ive been using ibis paint x for 3years now and i will say that even after years of getting used to the Program there are still so many things i havent discovered every day feels Like new Information for me! 😅 I do really like ibis paint x its my fav program (so far) My Favourite things about it are that They have So many filters affects Backgrounds and so many more tools! I dont have an ipad so this is the only program I Have Plus i draw on my finger i will say it is pretty hard drawing with your finger but i Kinda got the hang of it 😓
If you have trouble filling colors up because of line art you can actually go to the bucket go to its settings and press current layers☺️ this makes it easier to fill colors up👍
5:33 You can actually do this more easily with a special pen. press the 'special' key, then click in the box next to it and select 'lasso fill'. Your job will become easier 💖
2:44 actually! If you open up the layer menu, there’s a button underneath the cavas preview that allows you to flip the whole canvas, the symbol looks exactly the same as the maybe flip
pro tip: when you wanna merge all of your art work. you can easily do it by going into the layer menu, clicking "add special layer" (it's the layer symbol w/ the plus sign) and then you wanna click "add layer from canvas" and what that does is make a quick separate layer with all of the VISIBLE layers of your art work merged into one layer. also this way, you don't have to sacrifice and merge all of your artwork together to get the same affect. you can also do this with folders.
my friend is one of the people who can draw really good with her finger... and it's one of the small sized phones as well. i have watched her do it and i guess the trick is a steady hand and slim fingers? also maybe settings in the art program? she makes it look SO easy though, it's crazy 😵💫
Omg I've tried Ibis paint before and since I have 0 knowledge of digital art and was using iPhone, I gave up so easily 😭 I find it so satisfying when people use Ibis Paint and other programs so easily....Kudos to you for being able to create yet another masterpiece! 😁
I had been use ibis paint at high school at around 8th grade. Before I got an Ipad that’s after graduation, I’ve been doing hand drawing on a used phone as well used tablet. It take me back memories of how impossible to draw with a hand.
Some more interesting features is that you can go into the brush settings and give them different blending modes! So you can have multiply, invert, add, etc, and even turn the brush into an ERASER- and you can also even modify the eraser brushes too (which feels a little redundant, but I noticed the opacity layering between the pens and the erasers work differently for some reason-) The filter "unsharp mask" under "blur" is actually a sharpening/unblur effect!! It works really well on lineart that gets weirdly fuzzy or the quality dropping when you use the wrong settings on the transform tool or when you liquify something too hard- it resharpens everything and is just super helpful! Their site and channel also have a ton of tricks and tips and tutorials on how to use the app as well which I think you'd definitely find useful. There's so much on there and it really helps me out. Also! On their site they have community made custom brushes you can import directly into the app if you wanna look into those too!
7:30 ik you either already know or well, won't use ihis ever again, but if you go on special brush two times, there will be a few options including lasso fill and lasso erase
Omg I remember actually drawing on my phone with my finger and having my fingers ache for days because of drawing for hours also I love your art so much ❤❤❤
Fun fact, brownies is/was actually a club for young girls like the cubs or scouts for boys. The point system comes from there nothing to do with cakes but no worries I loved the video and the great artwork and now you made me want a brownie cake😊
So for flipping the canvas easier, in the layers menu underneath the small preview canvas is some buttons, one of which flips the canvas, next to the small camera icon is a plus button to make layer with every layer so you dont have to individually merge them! Hope this helps if you get what im trying to sayhere lol. Anymay i love your art and i wish i can get as good as you with digital art ❤❤
you can enable pressure opacity and pen pressure in ibispaint in the brush settings, even if you have the pressure on some brushes dont have the settings pre adjusted to work with it, just a quick tip :>

Wow! Even tho it’s your first time using ibisPaint X, you still did an amazing job at it! You really do inspire me a lot!❤❤❤
Tysm!! ❤️
@@hanacue your art is so amazing It makes me worried that I can't be as good as u.
Im not sure if you found this but in the settings you can change pen pressure sensitivity
Man, take this as a complment, but your oc reminds me so much of An Shiraishi from Project Sekai 😭
The flip canvas is also in the layers as well, it’s the same button as the flip layer just on the side:)
Your job will become easier 💖
bro rlly treat ibis paint the same as procreateeee btw gurl aint even struggling 2 get the hangs of those toolsss
2:44 actually! If you open up the layer menu, there’s a button underneath the cavas preview that allows you to flip the whole canvas, the symbol looks exactly the same as the maybe flip
OH MY GOD
@@hanacue23 SEC AGO HUH HI HANA
pro tip: when you wanna merge all of your art work. you can easily do it by going into the layer menu, clicking "add special layer" (it's the layer symbol w/ the plus sign) and then you wanna click "add layer from canvas" and what that does is make a quick separate layer with all of the VISIBLE layers of your art work merged into one layer. also this way, you don't have to sacrifice and merge all of your artwork together to get the same affect. you can also do this with folders.
theres also a lasso fill tool, click the special wand and click the settings, where youd see lassofill
My tip is that there’s a shortcut between pencil and eraser next to the brush thing down the corner. Hope this helps ❤
HIII HANACUE!! YOU INSPIRE ME TO DRAW SO MUCHHH!! I LOVE YOU AND YOUR ART!! ❤️❤️
Thank you so much!!
@@hanacueI have a question. What made you start doing videos and doing art.
5:03 im a finger artist and its really just practice! after awhile you begin seeing your finger as just another form of pen
hi hana! happy new year :) i'm so glad that you're trying ibis paint x because that's what i use and you're also my favorite artist
Happy new year!! I’ll be doing more ibis paint x videos in the future!!
@@hanacueI also use ibis paint x and I'm not the best but if you do more I'll be better I think.❤❤❤❤
7:12 random but wow this is amazing
my friend is one of the people who can draw really good with her finger... and it's one of the small sized phones as well. i have watched her do it and i guess the trick is a steady hand and slim fingers? also maybe settings in the art program? she makes it look SO easy though, it's crazy 😵💫
Hey! You can actually use the selection layer, draw over the areas you want to color, and tadaa! You can get a more precise version of the lasso tool!
Ty for the tip! ❤️
To merge all the layers you can group them then merge the folder, it's easier.
you have just saved my life for next time 🙏
she would LOVE the lasso coloring tool mode
Some more interesting features is that you can go into the brush settings and give them different blending modes! So you can have multiply, invert, add, etc, and even turn the brush into an ERASER- and you can also even modify the eraser brushes too (which feels a little redundant, but I noticed the opacity layering between the pens and the erasers work differently for some reason-)
The filter "unsharp mask" under "blur" is actually a sharpening/unblur effect!!
This is the art software I use, happy to see you use it!
We have learned yet another lesson that it doesnt matter on what program you use, its based on your skills
It would be nice if you did a lighting tut
yesss!! I wanted to see how one of the best artist Hanacue uses ibis paint, so I can learn something.
Pen fade - best brush
Your art style and art is just amazing… keep it up!!💚🍏🍃💚
Thank you so much!! 🌷
@@hanacue I love your art so much and I just watched your Live 2d video now I'm in love with live 2d.
7:30 ik you either already know or well, won't use ihis ever again, but if you go on special brush two times, there will be a few options including lasso fill and lasso erase
Omg I remember actually drawing on my phone with my finger and having my fingers ache for days because of drawing for hours also I love your art so much ❤❤❤
5:00 simply bcz we cannot afford the tablet and its stylus , so we draw on our phones using our fingers , trying our best to make it smooth .....
I always love to see artists I love using Ibispaint X since that's what I use 🥰😍
Thank you now i can do stuff
Ooo I love ibis. It has most things if you look hard enough but I still don’t understand the half bucket settings. Glad u liked it and beautiful art
Tysm!! ❤️
Btw, in the special tool at the space where the brush icon is supposed to be, tap that and theres other things like lasso fill/eraser and copy pens!
Ty for the tip!! ❤️
it's easy to draw with your fingers and it turn out pretty well 😊
Fun fact, brownies is/was actually a club for young girls like the cubs or scouts for boys. The point system comes from there nothing to do with cakes but no worries I loved the video and the great artwork and now you made me want a brownie cake😊
Amazing video ❤
A tip for the liquify pen if it becomes pixelated you can use its smooth function
Ty for the tip! ❤️
People who use a ipad too❤
2:47 there is actually a button to do that in the layer menu, right next to the „add layer“ button!
Your drawing was so beautiful! 💖💖💖💖💖
