This is my new favorite version of this Suite! How expressive! Bravi! I listen to this as I walk my dog in the park throughout the seasons. It has meaning with each time I listen to it! It always sounds like awakening to me!

Ils ont aussi donné la suite N° 1 d'ARENSKI et la sonate pour deux pianos de POULENC. Ce fut Grandiose !!
Listened to this yesterday by Stefan Vladar and Magda Amara in Moscow Conservatory. Very beautiful and so different. First part reminded me about that time when spring became summer and everything lived and breathed.

This is a wonderful recording of this suite. I first fell in love with this music many years ago, listening to an inspired recording by Vronsky and Babin. Rach wrote 2 suites for 2 pianos. I only wish he had written more.

Unfortunately, I could find only their 1939 version transferred from old 78s. Beautiful, but I'd like to hear their later version too!

Used to enjoy my teachers Steven & Nadya Gordon rehearsing this work in the '70's before they recorded it on the Klavier label.
