Lou is a really happy man now too,hes had an operation with state of the art modern technology to fix his hearing he can hear now properly and he looks great for a 69 year old,theres a video of him on youtube getting really emotional about it and he's such a nice bloke I'm really happy for him

Well said. When this show was out when I was little, I used to be scared if the show was sponsored by G.E.! I was scared that I would get hypnotized by the metallic G.E. logo, get sucked into the screen, and ragdolled by the Hulk himself!! EEEEEE!!
David was such a good guy. People treated him poorly and got what they deserved.

This first scene of hulkout is definitely one of the best. David's acting in the store room, the beginning transformation sound and the Hulk's voice all top notch. Even the wig was different in this episode. Hard to believe how the hulk just seemed less monstrous after the voice of the hulk , Ted Cassidy died. Part of the hulk definitely died too..

I think this is the only episode where you see David genuinely annoyed at someone to the point where he's contemplating actually getting into a scrap willingly with them.
Bill Bixby was epic here, so natural in conveying someone trying to hold it together despite all this, what an actor he was!

Reminds me of a couple of sergeants I had when I was in the Army. Show up to work hungover, or still drunk, and assign me difficult work. Then, they'd insult me as I'd try to cater to their whims. Wish I could've changed into the Hulk and set them right. I know it's no Boy Scout Jamboree but you shouldn't be insulted for being lower enlisted. For some reason this scene takes me back to those days.
If you had high ranking officers hungover or drunk, the Army should have put them on a fizzer. I reckon you as good as stood up to them, because you turned the other cheek, got in with your work, and showed you were better then they are, rising to whatever rank you held.

David Banner was the ULTIMATE GOOBER in always getting hurt. However, The Hulk was the ultimate man beast in never getting hurt lol.

The guy who plays the drunk boss , was a recurring guest star on this series . He also played a father in a later season , who rented a room to David , and had a daughter .

I loved this show when I was a kid and still do. Poor David is always getting beaten up and picked on for no reason. If he wasn't able to turn into The Incredible Hulk, he'd really be in trouble.

I hear ya but hulk is always known to be 7-8 feet and 1000-1200 pounds. Although Lou is 6'4" 280-290. That's not even close to origin hulk size. At least they kept him green. Kenneth Johnson wanting him red. Stan Lee stated that would be a bad idea.
@@luketemple1015 realistically there was not going to be anyone over 7 foot in height and with a physique to match. Most likely they would be slim or skinny fat. Ferrigno at 6'5" was great for the role. He had the easiest lines! Just make a noise....
@@neilpa Lou didn't even have to do the grunting and roaring. It was performed by Ted Cassidy who played Lurch in the Addams family. He also narrated Banner's back story at the start of each episode.
Ironically, Cassidy was 6' 9'' tall but as Luke said, he didn't have the huge physique needed to play the Hulk, nor did Richard Kiel who was approached by Universal when they were looking at who to cast as the Hulk.

They seem to live in a world where nobody even considers, not even for one second, that such a physical transformation is possible.

Actually my friend this show was most definitely not low budget and especially the first and the first part of season 2. They were getting in trouble by universal on their budget and had to cut back quite a bit. So by season 3 you could feel the affects from it.

Bill Bixby/Lou Ferigno, great likeable pair. Bill or Banner, was the epitome of a nerd, while his counter part, Lou or The Hulk was the friend everyone hoped to have to thwart the bullies. Hulk always won, and at the end of every episode, Banner won too.
