This first scene of hulkout is definitely one of the best. David's acting in the store room, the beginning transformation sound and the Hulk's voice all top notch. Even the wig was different in this episode. Hard to believe how the hulk just seemed less monstrous after the voice of the hulk , Ted Cassidy died. Part of the hulk definitely died too..

Reminds me of a couple of sergeants I had when I was in the Army. Show up to work hungover, or still drunk, and assign me difficult work. Then, they'd insult me as I'd try to cater to their whims. Wish I could've changed into the Hulk and set them right. I know it's no Boy Scout Jamboree but you shouldn't be insulted for being lower enlisted. For some reason this scene takes me back to those days.

I loved how David kept his cool, as Harlan pushed and pushed for David to get physical with him.. It takes real resolve in making a stand against a bully to not fight him as it doesn't solve anything..
This guy is just trolling and antagonising the hell out of David at an unprecedented level here. I think this is the only episode where you see David genuinely annoyed at someone to the point where he's contemplating actually getting into a scrap willingly with them. Bill Bixby was epic here, so natural in conveying someone trying to hold it together despite all this, what an actor he was! RIP

Ironically, Cassidy was 6' 9'' tall but as Luke said, he didn't have the huge physique needed to play the Hulk, nor did Richard Kiel who was approached by Universal when they were looking at who to cast as the Hulk.

Actually my friend this show was most definitely not low budget and especially the first and the first part of season 2. They were getting in trouble by universal on their budget and had to cut back quite a bit. So by season 3 you could feel the affects from it.
Oh. question for the parents, especially the Dads. Did David kinda overstep his bounds a bit? He's befriending a young girl and deciding to take her fishing without consulting her parent, who is his boss? As a parent, I would feel some type of way about that myself. Of course, I don't think I would terrorize David the way this guy did. But I would ask Dave to respect his place and run things by me first concerning his plans with my 12 year old daughter? Thoughts?

Bill Bixby/Lou Ferigno, great likeable pair. Bill or Banner, was the epitome of a nerd, while his counter part, Lou or The Hulk was the friend everyone hoped to have to thwart the bullies. Hulk always won, and at the end of every episode, Banner won too.
