This first scene of hulkout is definitely one of the best. David's acting in the store room, the beginning transformation sound and the Hulk's voice all top notch. Even the wig was different in this episode. Hard to believe how the hulk just seemed less monstrous after the voice of the hulk , Ted Cassidy died. Part of the hulk definitely died too..

I hear ya but hulk is always known to be 7-8 feet and 1000-1200 pounds. Although Lou is 6'4" 280-290. That's not even close to origin hulk size. At least they kept him green. Kenneth Johnson wanting him red. Stan Lee stated that would be a bad idea.

Ironically, Cassidy was 6' 9'' tall but as Luke said, he didn't have the huge physique needed to play the Hulk, nor did Richard Kiel who was approached by Universal when they were looking at who to cast as the Hulk.

I’m 52 as a kid I never EVER missed one episode of the Incredible Hulk! At 8:15 he would become the Hulk and again at 8:45! It was CBS Friday night with The Dukes of Hazard at 9! Then Dallas at 10! Now everything is Gay AF!!
Actually my friend this show was most definitely not low budget and especially the first and the first part of season 2. They were getting in trouble by universal on their budget and had to cut back quite a bit. So by season 3 you could feel the affects from it.

Bill Bixby/Lou Ferigno, great likeable pair. Bill or Banner, was the epitome of a nerd, while his counter part, Lou or The Hulk was the friend everyone hoped to have to thwart the bullies. Hulk always won, and at the end of every episode, Banner won too.
When David gets pushed around the hulk comes 2 the rescue. My favorite show of all time
