  • From 4-6 March 2024 the PILON Sexual and Gender Based Violence Working Group held an Implementation Workshop in Nadi, Fiji, for the Regional Guidelines for Prosecutors and Witness Support Officers to support Vulnerable Witnesses through the Prosecution of Sexual and Gender Based Violence Offences.
    Stephanie Dunn is a Legal and Advocacy Officer with the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre (FWCC) and is passionate about advocating for Women’s Human Rights. She has over 10 years’ experience as a lawyer and is an accredited mediator. On behalf of the FWCC, she has participated and is part of the Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development through its Pacific Sub-regional committee, Regional Council and the Program Organising Committee of the Feminist Law and Practice Program (FLP-POC).
    Elina Cagilaba is the Counsellor Supervisor and a practicing Counsellor Advocate with the FWCC since 2017. As part of her role as a Counsellor Advocate, she provides counselling and other necessary support services such as supporting survivors through court and police processes.
    This training session focuses on understanding the gender dynamics of sexual violence against women and girls, how to complete a victim impact statement and recommendations for supporting victims of SGBV.
