Cheers Shane :) I hope you are keeping well mate and getting out. Summer here has been a wash out so far :( Yeah I feel compelled to help animals in distress. Most people I can walk past, but a small animal gets rescued every time lol. Always nice to hear from you mate...… have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
Hi Muhammad, I hope you are keeping well :) Thank you for the kind words, it is very much appreciated :) It is always a pleasure to hear from you...…. have a great weekend, all the best, Mark :)
Cheers Mike :) I hope you are keeping well mate. Many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. It is always nice to hear from you :) All the best, Mark :)
Hi Dave, I hope you are keeping well mate :) Yeah, I wouldn't of slept properly if I had left it down there. You know what its like when something looks at you and you know it needs help! Plenty of nice spots around there for the bike Dave. Plenty of sweeping roads...……. and tractors lol. Have a great weekend mate.... I hope you are doing something nice :) All the best, Mark :)
@@markbailey2981 nothing planned mate my bikes in bits wires everywhere lol I only started to change the handlebars and one thing led to another 🤔 family time this weekend maybe a trip to the coast or something if the car makes it lol. You anything good planned? All the best Dave
Hi Dave, sorry for the late reply mate. I had an early night then back to Wales working first thing this morning. So to answer the question did I have anything good planned...errrr NO lol. I hope you managed to get out in the car. I know the feeling mine is due some major work, I can feel it in my wallet lol. Take care Dave, enjoy the rest of your weekend mate :)
Hi Josh, many thanks for watching and for the great comment :) I'm glad you enjoyed the video. it is a stunning area around there. I will be back no doubt and will look at a few more areas. Have a great week Josh, all the best, Mark :)
Hi G B, I hope you are keeping well :) Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Yeah, I couldn't leave it down there..... I wouldn't of slept that night!! Thanks again and have a great weekend, all the best, Mark :)
Great film. We rescued a hedgehog a couple of years ago and took him to local hedgehog hospital were he was re released from. What an amazing spot. I love the Peak District.
Hi Warwickshireoutdoors, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :) I thought about putting it in a box and doing the same, but after I checked on it a while later it had moved off. If it was still there, then I would of taken it with me, but it seemed fine. There were plenty of leaves down in the grid, so the fall wasn't too much. They should make ramps that allow animals to walk out. I'm sure all sorts get stuck. I found a dead fox cub in one last year. I agree the peak district is a stunning place. It is only 20 miles from home, so a nice place to revisit. Have a great weekend mate, all the best, Mark :)
Hi JT, many thanks for watching and for commenting :) It is always great to hear from you. I agree, the Peak District has some stunning areas, but Dovedale is one of my favourites :) I will be over there again in the near future. Have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
Thanks Mark, lovely location and good filming. Nice to be able to rescue the the hedgepig, I haven’t seen one in years, probably due to the ability of Brocky been able to peel them! Fjallraven trousers are great, not long ago I had to lay to rest a pair that I’d had since the mid 90s. My only criticism is no back pocket where I like to keep my wallet. Thanks again Dave
Hi Dave, I hope you are keeping well :) Many thanks as always for taking the time to watch and for the great comment :) I agree. Even though I'm out in the country most days, that was the first hedgehog I have seen in years. When I was kid in the 70's, they were all over the place. You were told to check you fires in the back garden for hibernating hedgehogs. Now you can't even have fires in the back garden anymore lol. Funny you should mention there being no back pocket. I only noticed the other day when I went to put my car keys in them lol. Have a great weekend Dave, all the best, Mark :)
Mark Bailey thanks for your reply Mark, I’m always pleased to see an email notification that you’ve uploaded a video. Please keep them coming. Thanks Dave
Great Video as always Mark, great save on the hedgehog too, would have certainly died had you not rescued it. Nice shot of the rodent too coming out of the tree roots. Like this style of video 👍🏻
Hi Michael, I hope you are keeping well mate :) Yeah there was a mixture of animals in this one. The mouse hung around for ages. I kept trying to film it, but it would scurry off, then come back. I left it a couple of baked beans. I think I had stumbled onto his patch lol. Thanks as always Michael, it is very much appreciated :) Have a great weekend, all the best, Mark :)
Hi Robert, many thanks for watching and for the comment mate :) Its always nice to hear from you. Yeah, the hedgehog had walked off by the time I got back, so it payed off pulling it out :) Have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
Hi Josh, I hope you are keeping well :) Thank you as always for stopping by and for the great comment :) It is always nice to hear from you. Have a great weekend, all the best, Mark :)
Cheers outdoor and bushcraft :) Yeah you have to look after these little creatures when they are in distress. I wouldn't of slept properly if I had walked past it :) I still got a parking ticket for getting back too late though. So much for doing a good turn lol. Thanks again and have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
Hi Rich, I hope you are keeping well :) Yeah I like it around the Peak District, it is quite a diverse area. We even have wallabies on certain parts of it!! Thanks a s always for watching and taking the time to comment :) It is always nice to hear from you. All the best, Mark :)
Good Morning Mark, great video! I liked the intro and of course saving the Hedgehog was a nice touch!👍 I enjoyed that with my coffee now it's off to work! Lol Take care mate, Wade🍻
Hi Wade, I hope you aren't working too hard mate :) I have just got home myself!! Yeah Hedgehogs are in decline over here, so it was the least I could do. That was the first one in 10 years I have come across. As a kid, we would have them at the bottom of the garden. Thanks as always Wade :) Have a great week mate, all the best, Mark :)
Thanks for the upload Mark, Enjoyed the extended intro. Great trousers excellent quality could last 10 years if looked after and look like they would wear well over time. As far as the Hedgehog is concerned, You save a life you become responsible for it. Good Work brother all the best.
Hi brother, I hope you are keeping well :) Many thanks for watching and for the great comment. It is always nice to hear from you :) I was hoping that if I looked after the trousers good enough I might be buried in them lol. Yeah, deffo 10 years, as long as I don't put any weigh on, I made the mistake of buy a 28" waist lol. I checked on the Hedgehog on the way back and it had moved off. So fingers crossed it was only there for the night. If it was still where I left it, I would of bought it home with me. I hate seeing injured or sick animals. I a nightmare at work lol. I end up with boxes full of young geese, magpies and other creatures that roam and fly around the fishery. Have a great weekend brother, take care, Mark :)
Thank you Angof :) I agree, I have always believed in you get what you pay for. I've spent years on and off working in outdoor shops and fishing tackle shops, and the higher priced items are usually reflected in the quality and how long they last. For £175.00, I hope they last me long enough that I can be buried in them lol. Have a great week my friend, all the best, Mark :)
Hi Mark that G1000 is some cracking stuff and it must make a tough pair of trousers as my Fjallraven rucksack is made from it. Thanks for sharing mate. Be safe and be lucky.
Hi Wol, I hope you are keeping well mate :) Yeah I have heard good things about the G1000. It seems like it is easy to re waterproof as well. I was looking at the Fjallraven packs. They make some nice quality gear. The only trouble is nice quality gear usually costs lol. Thanks as always wol. Take care and have a great weekend, all the best, Mark :)
Excellent video again Mark. It actually feels like we are out in nature with you. Awesome trousers and as you say probably outlast many pairs of lookalikes.
Hi David, Many thanks for watching and for the great comment :) I agree, I have every confidence that the trousers will last. I worked in various outdoor shops overt the years and you can usually tell which types of clothing is worth the money. I don't think I would spend £400 on one of their jackets. That is the cost of a small car lol. Have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
Hi James, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 👍. I'm glad you like the video....... thank you for saying. I hope you are keeping well during these times. Stay safe, all the best, Mark. 😀🌲🔥.
Mark never dissapoints! Hedgehog rescue, awesome intro and that water around 4:20 looked drinkable right out of the river! I remember back home in SA I was on a school trip and we were in Mpumalanga province on top of a waterfall, the bushcamp guide told us all we could drink straight from the river ... only a handful of us did, it was still the best water I have ever tasted to date and that was well over 20 years ago. What a location, added to the bucket list buddy. I still have to swing by your bushcraft show buy viddy :) Cheers Mark
Hi Chris, I hope you have had a nice week mate :) Yeah the water is crystal clear and it is fed by underground springs, but the are hundreds of sheep farms along its length, so I would prefer to boil it just to be on the safe side :) Yeah Dove Dale is the name of the place in the video. But all over the peak district is stunning. Very rugged countryside. You would enjoy a few nights wild camping out there :) I'm not sure if you have been, but the lake district is a place you should try. Thanks a s always for taking the time to watch and comment :) It's always nice to hear from you. Have a great weekend mate, all the best, Mark.
Hi Michael, I hope you are keeping well mate 👍. It is more of a habit than sharp eyed lol. We used to have a couple of cattle grids on the last fishery where I worked and it was quite common to find hedgehogs and young rabbits stuck in them. Most have a ramp or a hole that they can use to get out, but some will just sit there. Many thanks for stopping by Michael. Stay safe, all the best, Mark.
Well done to you Mark for rescuing the hedgehog great walk in with the music on half of it but I have to say it was good that the other half had no music it was good to just hear the natural sounds of your environment I should do that more with my video's. I hope your good take care mate😁👍
Hi Carl, I hope you are keeping well mate :) All good here thanks :) I'm glad you enjoyed the video, it is a nice area steeped with a lot of local history. But I'm glad I spotted the hedgehog. I hadn't seen a live one for years before that. Hopefully it went off and will steer clear of grids in the future lol. Some of them have a ramp or a hole, so animals can get out. Maybe it wanted to be in there lol. Thanks for the great comment Carl :) It is always great to hear from you mate, all the best, Mark :)
Hello Mark, Hope you're keeping well. Just been watching your latest video which is as ever great viewing. By coincidence I was in Dovedale today with my wife. First time there for about 20 years! We used to take our sons camping there many moons ago and had forgotten what a fantastic area it is. Keep up your good work. Cheers Mel Clarke ps Wish I could afford a pair of Fjallraven trousers they look great.
Hi Melvyn, I hope you are keeping well :) many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Yes, Dovedale is a beautiful area. Especially when the weather is nice :) That is was the first time in years that I had been around that part. It was a nice as I remembered. Plus it was a quite day which was nice. The Fjallraven pants are great, but I agree, they are a bit on the pricey side. I had better watch it when I climb over and barbed wire fences lol. Have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
Hi Marco & Racoon, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. It is great to hear from you :) I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I love it around the Peak district area, there is always plenty to do and there are some stunning hikes. Once I get my camera back I will head back over there. Thanks again for taking the time, all the best, Mark :)
Hi Joel, I hope you are keeping well :) Many thanks for watching and for the great comment. It is always nice to hear from you brother, all the best, Mark :)
Fantastic humane start Mark. Hedgehogs are my guides mate - they've helped me in the past. I got a real sense of you through that. I enjoyed the Fjallraven but that cheeky mouse more. A good day out on the river - it looked lush. All the best. Mark P.S I've just bought some Scarpa. Peace!
Hi Mark, I hope you are keeping well mate :) Sorry for the late reply.... I have been working away ;( I agree, hedgehogs are awesome creatures. They remind of Autumn for some reason? I was saying to someone, the amount of time I spend in the country, that is the first hedgehog I gave seen in 10 years. There were hundreds when I was a kid. LOL, yeah the mouse stayed around for a while. He walked off and went into the grass near by. I left him a couple of baked beans for encroaching on his territory lol. Yeah, Scarpa make some great boots. I used to wear the old SL's for winter hiking. But I find they are a bit tight around the foot. Quality is second to non, and you know you have got a decent pair of boots :) Have a great weekend Mark :) All the best, Mark.
@@markbailey2981 I'm getting on mate. Yeah I did a video - a shocking one on them. Such a huge decline. Here's the link. It's a only a few minutes but gets it across. ruclips.net/video/Im7IgXOXHho/видео.html I liked what you did. The mouse was cool and as for the boots I agree. Quality counts.
Beautiful area, Mark, and those Lappland trousers look great. I like those adjustable cuffs with the boot lace hook. I've always wanted some Barent Pro trousers, but i think the wife would have a fit if I pay that money for "Just a pair of Trousers" (Her words) lol. Thanks for sharing mate, take care.
Hi Andy, I hope you are keeping well mate :) Yeah Fjallraven make some quality gear, and the problem with quality is often the cost :( I have seen the Barents Pro trousers. They look like a solid pair of trousers. Nice usual feature on them as well. Yeah, women just don't understand lol. To them "it's Just" a pair of trousers. To us, it means everything lol. Thanks as always Andy.... I hope Rusty is managing to keep cool in the heat :) Have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
Thanks Kevin :) Hopefully the weather will stay for a bit now :) We deserve it after the initial wet start. It would look even nicer if the sun is out. Have a great time if you go Kevin, and have a great weekend mate :) All the best, Mark :)
Fantastic! Love the save on the hedgehog a great spot but that's because your in tune with what's around you. I have noticed some of the newer ones have a ramp inside which can facilitate an escape. But your actions warmed my heart mate. Love the kit and maybe someday ( when I'm thinner 😂😂). As always a great share and very relaxing watch. I still have a beans and sausage boil in the bag from one of my old rat packs from about 1999. I will eat them and perhaps film it. Have a great week buddy 👍👍Cheers Sel
Good morning Sel, I hope you are keeping well mate :) Yeah, I couldn't walk past the Hedgehog without pulling him up to safety :) Thankfully when I checked later it had wandered off. I had another check in the grid again, you know what some animals are like, determined to go in a certain direction :) I have seen a few of the grids with the ramps in them, but not this one :( I will look forward to the beans and sausage video mate..... missed not seeing you out. I hope you are still enjoying the RSPB work mate :) It's a shame the summer has been as wet has it has. Always great to hear from you Sel..... have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
Hi Trev, I hope you are keeping well mate :) I agree, I have been a fan of Meindl boots for a number of years. They seem to suit my feet more compared to most other makes. Thanks for stopping by mate, it is always nice to hear from you :) have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
Quality stuff matey 👍🏻👍🏻 I’ll need to visit the Peak District... (looks great) as I stay in Scotland.. and love they trousers too.. take care ... Andy 👍🏻
Hi Andy, I hope you are keeping well mate :) Yeah the Peak District is a lovely area. I do like Scotland myself though. There is a bit more freedom to get out and enjoy yourself. But for day hikes, camping, climbing and fly fishing etc there are some stunning areas. Thanks for taking the time to watch and to comment. It is always nice to hear from you, all the best, Mark :)
We don't have hedgehogs over here, cool. Looked like a nice day and beautiful area. I don't have these pants, a bit dear unless you get a deal. I do have two pair of Duluth Drylock pants, I love them. Take care.
Hi Quinn, many thanks for watching for commenting :) I agree, the pant were quite expensive, but I thought I would treat my self :) Duluth make some excellent gear, it's a shame we don't get much of their products over here. Have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
Hi Shaun, I hope you are having a nice weekend :) It is a stunning place. I used to spend a lot of time in the peak district before I moved away. You will have to let me know if you ever go again Shaun, I wouldn't mind tagging along for a wander up the river. Have a great weekend mate, all the best, Mark :)
Hi Elijah, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :) Yes the beginning is very similar. I hadn't heard it before you mentioned it. It is also the cottage in Wales where it was written. Interesting stuff thanks :) Have a great week, all the best, Mark.
Hi Mark! Great walk in a beautiful landscape. The water looks pretty clear up there. Do you think it is potable? Theses Fjällräven trousers seem to be very good for different environments and weathers. I think I should take a look at those specific ones. My Fjällräven Vidda Pro trousers are also very good, but they are not so stretchy and they don't have zippers for ventilation. Have a great week brother and enjoy the summer! André
Hi Andre, I hope you are well brother :) I perhaps wouldn't drink the water untreated. A lot does come from underground springs and through the rocks, but there are too many sheep farms in the local area. There would be the odd dead sheep and run off from the farms trickling in from somewhere. I had a good look at the various types of trousers that they make, and it was the stretch fabric and zips that drew me to them. I will probably wear them through the year and winter if it's not to bitterly cold :( Have a great weekend Andre..... all the best, Mark :)
Wow! How did I miss this? That is some beautiful land you have to explore over there Mark🙂 those are some nice pants! I might have to put some bug netting in those vents though lol. Is it really so bad as the news is making it to be over there? It has gotten pretty bad here, only in the big cities though. Hopefully one day I can scrap up some money and you could show me around 😀
Hi Joe….. I'm glad you came across the video :) Dovedale and the Peak district is a pretty area. Very rural and rocky, with plenty of sheep farms dotted around the area. I don't live too far away from it. It's about 25 minuets from home. Yeah, thankfully we don't get too many biting bugs. Midges and mozies are the most abundant, but a bit of insect repellent keeps them at bay lol. I'm not sure what news you get over there Joe, but on the whole the UK has been going down hill for years. There are plenty of reported stabbings in London. But it is fine around here. Then we have the Brexit issue lol!!!! We get the same news coming from the US. That the USA is in trouble with this and that. I suppose that is one of the reasons I enjoy working and spending time in the countryside. It never seems to change for the worse :) Well apart from when people and the government get involved. No worries my friend, If you ever get a chance to visit, I will be more than happy to show you around :) Speak to you soon my friend, all the best, Mark :)
Top man mark, gotta help the hedgehogs out they are in the top ten most endangered animals in england now . Hope your keeping well mate. All the best .chris.
Hi Chris, I hope you are keeping well mate :) All good here thanks!! Yeah I agree mate, you have to try and save them. I used to see loads as a kid. Even pulling them out of bonfires before lighting them. That was the first on in 10 years I've seen, and I spend most of the week working in and around the countryside. It's a shame to see the numbers decline. Obviously nothing to do with the hedgehog and more to do with what man has been doing to them. Thanks as always Chris, have a great week mate, all the best, Mark :)
What an absolute stunning location Mark, beautiful place. Would love to catch a trout or two up there. Love the limestone Landscapes. I tell ya what, that's some nice new kit too, Meindl boots really are great kit and those pants are stacked with good features. They look a really great pair for extended use on multi day trips where they are going to take a battering. I usually end up having to turn my Fjallraven pant up at the bottom but I presume you have to get them pretty spot on with the gaiter facility or is there still room for a turn up ? Great film anyway Mark, nice to have a walk down the river with ya. One of my favourite environments. All the best mate, have a great weekend 👍👍
Hi Rick, I hope you are feeling well today mate :) When you are back on track, we will sort a day out and go catch a few trout somewhere!!! Be a pleasure to take you out mate :) Yeah I love Meindl boots. I went across to their factory about 20 years ago and they make some top foot wear. I wanted something a bit more comfortable for general hiking and messing around in the woods, and these seem to fit the bill. I never thought about turning the trousers up. Fortunately these weren't too bad. Maybe because I went with a 28" waist the length are a bit shorter. If you were to turn them up, you also have the zip at the bottom which could be a problem. For the money, you would think they would also make different leg lengths ;) Thanks as always for the awesome comment Rick :) Have a great week. Thinking of you, All the best, Mark :)
Cheers Deekoy1958...… Yes Hedgie lived another day :) I always feel compelled to stop and help any animal in trouble. It was the least I could do. And the thanks for my effort...… a parking fine lol. Have a great week my friend, all the best, Mark :)
Hi Mark, Great review of these trousers which persuaded me to purchase them. I wore them over the past few days in the lakes with great success and comfort when the weather was dry. I am yet to wax them to assist with waterproofing. However, when the weather turned wet and windy the water running off my gore-tex drenched the elasticated front panels which lead to a flood inside the trousers. Yes, i should have had additional raingear at hand to potentially avoid a further drenching. Even on all the Fjallraven review videos, I don't see jackets covering the elasticated front area during wet outdoor activity. While im aware not everything can be 100% water proof this first wet weather outing was a disaster. Any hints tips would be appreciated as im sure you have had further outings in your Lappland. TIA
Hi Paul, I hope you are keeping well mate. I found that the elastic panels needed a couple of coatings of wax, especially where the rain runs down from a jacket. It lasts quite well, but I tend to wear a pair of lightweight over trousers when it is chucking down. The trousers are still going strong, but it is certainly worth waxing them. It is a simple process and doesn't take too much work. I have thought about trying Nikwax on them when I next do my jackets, but the Fallraven wax puts a thicker coating on them compared to wash in proofers. Sorry for the late response. I have been away working. Have a nice weekend, all the best, Mark :)
Hi Tony, yes thankfully he had gone when I went back to check on it :) Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :) Have a great weekend, all the best, Mark.
Hi jonser20cent, many thanks for watching my friend and taking the time to comment 👍. I don't to come across many hedgehogs anymore. So I thought I had best let this one go LOL. I hope you are keeping well during these times. Take care, all the best, Mark 😀.
When you start a vid by saving a hedgehog your going to get likes... lol how long did it take to catch the bugger in put it in the cattle grid 😂😂😂 (just kidding Mark) That pants look great but...never mind that.....I have to tell you i cannot believe you simply opened you food on the side due to your spork not being long enough, that Mark is worth a mention as its just natural to open from the top,,, i know its obvious but its not is it, I love things like that... I have to shout that out in my next one, great stuff Mark thank you from me and the hedgehog...👍
Good morning Matt :) I hope you are keeping well mate. LOL, yeah it was a stuffed hedgehog that I keep in the pack for emergencies haha :) I thought everyone opened their MRE meals this way. I noticed that you can buy the longer sporks, but they were always too long for my cook bag so I have to perform surgery on the bag lol. I picked it up from a couple of squaddies I used to fish with. It's a handy tip if you don't want food stuck to your fingers lol. Thanks as always Matt :) Its great to hear from you, all the best, Mark :)
Hi Andy, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :) I agree, the Swedish are know for their quality. It's the first item that I have bought from Fjallraven and so far I'm very impressed by the quality. I was looking at the jackets, very nice...…. I might go for one next year :) Thanks again Andy, all the best, Mark :)
If you get the jacket it's worth getting the their wax to water proof it. It's the size of a bar of soap and you rub it on all over and with a hair dryer melt it in. Wax and melt in twice is like a farmers wax jacket. Silicone sprays are a waste of money.
@@Andy-walkaboutnutty Thanks for the info Andy :) I did buy a bar of the Greenland wax for the trousers when I was at the show, but I'm glad you say it works well as I tend to use Nikwax on most of my other outdoor clothing. I will stick with the proper wax for the trousers :) Thanks for the advice :) All the best, Mark :)
Just came across your page i have been looking at these trousers and i wondered a 12 month on what your thoughts on them are but more importantly whats the sizing like compared to jeans ect.
Hi hywelmartin101.... Merry Christmas 🎅🏻. I have been very happy with the trousers. They have been hard wearing and very comfortable. I find the sizing to be spot on. I usually wear 30" jeans and when I bought the Fjallraven I went for a size 30" and they fit perfect. I hope this helps, all the best, Mark :) :)
@@markbailey2981can you say please, what is your height and weight? This trousers comes only in long. And I’m 182sm. Not sure how they will fit me. Usually I buy regular.
Hi Erik, many thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment :) The pack is a Frost River Boulder Junction pack. I like it for day hikes as it isn't too wide, so it means I can squeeze through the nooks and crannies with it on :) Have a great week Erik, all the best, Mark :
Hi G P, I hope you are keeping well mate :) Yes I live in England, but work and spend most of my week in Wales :) I do love a trip up to Scotland though for a bit of wild camping and fishing :)
Wayfarer meals are too expensive for what they are.... its cheaper to just open a tin of beans and sausage (Branston are good) and empty that into a zip up bag (or good quality poly bags) before setting off... when i first went camping in the Lakes i used Wayfarer until i realised i could save an hell of a lot by doing what i just suggested :-)
Hi Stuart, I hope you are well mate :) Yeah, the old gypsies used to cook hedgehog like that. I remember the hedgehog flavoured crisps that they did once. I think they banned them for some reason. I thought they just taste like beef and onion lol.Yeah I wouldn't of slept properly if I hadn't pulled it out. And for my effort mate, got a parking ticket lol. Have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
@@markbailey2981 loved those crisps, I heard that the Europeans banned them as there was no actual hedge hog in the ingredients. False labelling or just lacking a sense of humour. Maybe hedge hogs started the Brexit movement?
Very caring mark to have rescued the hedgehog from the cattle grid. Liked that.
I'm checking every cattle grid I walk over from now on. Thanks for sharing that...
Awesome video nice looking place thanks

Great vid Mark. Beautiful, drop-dead GORGEOUS scenery!! Thanks for sharing! Oh yeah, nice pants too!
Nice video again Mark and great job on the Hedgehog! Excellent gear you have got!! Thanks for the video.
Hi Robert, many thanks for watching and for the comment mate :) Its always nice to hear from you. Yeah, the hedgehog had walked off by the time I got back, so it payed off pulling it out :) Have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
This is a beautiful spot you found. Great video Mark. - Josh
Hi Josh, I hope you are keeping well :) Thank you as always for stopping by and for the great comment :) It is always nice to hear from you. Have a great weekend, all the best, Mark :)
Saving that little animal was a very nice thing to do dude. Thumbs up from me
Cheers outdoor and bushcraft :) Yeah you have to look after these little creatures when they are in distress. I wouldn't of slept properly if I had walked past it :) I still got a parking ticket for getting back too late though. So much for doing a good turn lol. Thanks again and have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
What a beautiful area! Another great video Mark!
Hi Rich, I hope you are keeping well :) Yeah I like it around the Peak District, it is quite a diverse area. We even have wallabies on certain parts of it!! Thanks a s always for watching and taking the time to comment :) It is always nice to hear from you. All the best, Mark :)
Good man. Gold star for that, or some sort of "countryside award"
Hi Oliver, many thanks for watching and for the kind words :) I appreciate it :) Have a great weekend, all the best, Mark.
Good Morning Mark, great video! I liked the intro and of course saving the Hedgehog was a nice touch!👍 I enjoyed that with my coffee now it's off to work! Lol
Take care mate, Wade🍻
Hi Wade, I hope you aren't working too hard mate :) I have just got home myself!! Yeah Hedgehogs are in decline over here, so it was the least I could do. That was the first one in 10 years I have come across. As a kid, we would have them at the bottom of the garden. Thanks as always Wade :) Have a great week mate, all the best, Mark :)
Wonderful video Mark, the review was great and very thorough. Cheers
Thank you T Savage, I'm glad you enjoyed it :) Have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
Great video Mark, Trousers look very good and you get what you pay for.
Cheers Mark, yet another well filmed, chilled presentation, cracking review - cheers
Hi Nick, I'm glad you liked it :) Many thanks for watching and for the kind words mate. It means a lot :) Have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
Just found ya channel when searching for a review on wood tools axe as I just got one. Great channel and lovely videos mate. Keep it up.
I still have to swing by your bushcraft show buy viddy :)
Cheers Mark
You must be mighty sharp eyed to have spotted that little hedgehog!
Sorry Mark forgot to mention. Great spotting the hedgehog in the cattle grid. Nice one.
Hi Mark
This is really a very nice video.
Thanks also for the reviews.
Support and keep it up!
greetings Marco & Racoon
Hi Marco & Racoon, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. It is great to hear from you :) I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I love it around the Peak district area, there is always plenty to do and there are some stunning hikes. Once I get my camera back I will head back over there. Thanks again for taking the time, all the best, Mark :)
Beautiful landscape. What an awesome adventure Mark...I really love your neck of the woods. Cheers for sharing mate. - Joel
I hope Rusty is managing to keep cool in the heat :) Have a great week, all the best, Mark :)
dovedale is a beautiful place.. possibly heading up there next weekend weather pending...lol keep up the good work pal..✌
Very nice pants them matey one day I might treat myself 😀 and can’t go wrong with meindl boots too, looked a cracking spot for lunch ATB
Hi Mark hope your keeping well mate another great video went walking there 2 years a go
Hi Shaun, I hope you are having a nice weekend :) It is a stunning place. I used to spend a lot of time in the peak district before I moved away. You will have to let me know if you ever go again Shaun, I wouldn't mind tagging along for a wander up the river. Have a great weekend mate, all the best, Mark :)
Mark Bailey that would be great it's a lovely part of the world have a great weekend and take care mate
That guitar at the beginning sounds very similiar to Bron Yr Aur. Good video.
Hi Elijah, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :) Yes the beginning is very similar. I hadn't heard it before you mentioned it. It is also the cottage in Wales where it was written. Interesting stuff thanks :) Have a great week, all the best, Mark.
@@markbailey2981 It is on my bucket list to visit that cottage, after trekking all around Snowdonia first.
Well done that man.
Saving Hedgie. :)
@@markbailey2981 Thanks for the reply, much appreciated advise. Cheers Paul

Hi Tony, yes thankfully he had gone when I went back to check on it :) Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :) Have a great weekend, all the best, Mark.
Hi Mark. I thought you were going to use the hedgehog as a tinder nest!
Fjallraven, best you can get. I've got the trousers, shirt and jacket. Them swedish know what they're doing.
Thanks for the video. Do you happen to know if the inseam runs longer on this one? Im wondering because i dont see a tall version of this pants.
Hi, if I remember correctly they did have different leg lengths. Mine are 32" regular, but I am sure they come in standard, long and short leg.
I almost had to hit the thumbs down with you keep calling them PANTS , But I resisted because you saved the hedgehog 👍
LOL I wouldn't blame you LG :) Thank you to the hedgehog!! Thanks for taking the time to watch and for the great comment, all the best, Mark ;)
they are pants, the ones underneath are UNDER pants!
:)
Well, at least where I'm from
Just came across your page i have been looking at these trousers and i wondered a 12 month on what your thoughts on them are but more importantly whats the sizing like compared to jeans ect.
Great intro to your video. By the way, what backpack were you carrying here?
There's a link in the description mate
Hi Erik, many thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment :) The pack is a Frost River Boulder Junction pack. I like it for day hikes as it isn't too wide, so it means I can squeeze through the nooks and crannies with it on :) Have a great week Erik, all the best, Mark :
England is your trekking ground mate?
Hi G P, I hope you are keeping well mate :) Yes I live in England, but work and spend most of my week in Wales :) I do love a trip up to Scotland though for a bit of wild camping and fishing :)
@@markbailey2981 Nice. Ever been tot eh Caribbean? I am messaging from all the way over here. 2 season weather.
If you bake them in clay it takes all the spines off. Just kidding, big up to hedge hogs and their savior
Very Led Zeppelinish
