Just installed my Rigid D-SS Pros. I was sure I could mount them but my only issue was the wiring. I got it done thanks to your video. I cut off the relay & fuse, wired 'em just like you did, and they work perfectly. Say hello to your newest subscriber! 👋
Awesome thanks! Yea, the Aux switches have their own relay. Much simpler. and now you have a spare relay you can keep in a box for 10 years before you decide to throw it out the day before you actually need it!
I just got my Wildtrak and will definitely be using your video to help with my wiring install. Nice and clear and informative. Keep up the good work! Cheers
Great video! Was working on installing my fog lights on my Bronco. Thank you for explaining why I can cut the relay off the wiring harness. Didn't think I needed it, but still wanted to double check.👍
Cool vid! Subbed! I noticed you said that you used the Bronco-supplied relay and cut off the harness side. Do you know which of the Bronco Aux switches have relays on them? I can't find an answer on line.
All switch wires terminate under the hood at the power distribution point. The power leads are relayed and fused already and have specific ratings. So the switches in the cab basically just activate the relay that then sends power to whatever accessory. So that's why you need to look and see what AMPerage each switch is wired for. If you need more amps, you could add another relay that would be activated by the already installed relay...... It gets confusing. But you should be good with what's there.
@@NorthShoreBronco Thanks, so much! I want to throw two 6 inch Hellas on the front bull bar I am gonna fab in. I figured I would use the highest-rated line/switch as I never intend to put a winch or even amp and sub in the truck. I am absolutely loving this thing, by the way! I feel like I am 18 again, ordering stuff and staring at it through the window at home. Puts a smile on my face every time I see it. Thanks, for the info... really!
@@NorthShoreBronco absolutely am! Mind sharing what camera equipment you're using? I'm considering documenting my excursions in a similar manner on RUclips but I'm not sure where to start with equipment.
@@offroadbandit Well for this video I used my Fuji XT3... but that's mostly a camera for photography. I usually use my Go Pro Hero 9 to document my adventures. I'll throw a link in the description. But yea, for adventure type videos, I recommend a Go Pro, the media mod kit so you can attach a mic and a decent mike. I like the wireless rhode the best.
Those look awesome great job! I optioned for the modular bumper on mine as well and I do want to run some fog lights in it but I need a set I can use while driving and not just for off road
I took some black rugged ridge shackles (link in description) then I got an automotive shop to color match the badlands orange and painted them. I'll make a video on it soon. I'll call and ask them what paint code they used.
You cut out the entire rely and fuse? Or did you leave something to connect to the factory Aux wiring? I'm at that stage and not sure what to cut out. The Auxiliary wiring information is also available in the vehicle's manual via the infotainment system. Where did you buy the tow hooks? Look great
Thanks! Yea, I cut out the relay and fuse part and just wired to the Aux Switch wiring. Just keep as much wiring as you need to get there. Tow Hooks I got on amazon, link is in description.... I think... If not I'll add it.
Are you worried at all about not having those front bumper lights recessed inside the bumper itself? If you were to impact a tree or a rock or something at low speed then your fancy new lights would eat that impact before your steel bumper does. Unless I'm looking at it incorrectly?
Yea I am a bit. When I have some time I'm boing to play with the brackets a bit more and get them pointed more in the front and try and bring them in a bit. But for now, I like having them for in the woods!
I guess your never gonna remove the end caps for off roading. Kind of the reason Ford didn't include them in that bumper. But nice video on the install.
I love your videos man. Great content and I've subscribed a while back. Question for you, on the amperage math you did, did you choose 12 volts because that's the max voltage on the lights, or 12V because of the battery? So if I have a light bar that 260 watts, do I divide by the max voltage of the light bar (36 volts) or 12 Volts?
Thanks! I chose 12 v because that's the output of the battery. So you'd be at 21.66 amps with that lightbar. Trying to open a portal to the multiverse? That's going to be some bright!
I'm not even sure. I've had it for so long. A lot of the stuff I have is too thin though, so I will also be researching and buying some better heat shrink.

Where did you get your tow hooks? They look good with the badlands trim. I have the same in a 4 door and would like to get some.

best wiring video I could find. I'm gonna be running lights on my base with aux switches and this made the wiring easy!
Can't get enough of watching people mod their Broncos. I mean what else can I do as I wait? lol
The wait was the hardest! Now the hardest part is keeping it clean..... You're time will come.
Best looking bumper lights I’ve seen thus far.
Thaks! and like 1/4 of the price of the other ones!
Great job!

Good stuff man! I just put in the diode dynamics bumper kit
Nice!!!! I'm putting a winch on tonight! Vid on that Sunday.
Nice video. My Bronco is being delivered this wk and the 8” light bars will be 1st add-on. Thanks

You take some clear silicone for your open of the heat shrink to keep it water tight.
That's a great idea, thanks!

Thanks 💯

Ah. Yes, I've rarely needed actuall fog lights in my climate. So using every open spot for offroad lights!
@@NorthShoreBronco they look great!
Good shit!
Thanks!
I highly suggest, for long term use. You pick up a TORX PLUS (TP-40). or else the bolts will get rounded out.
ah, that is an excellent point! I thought they looked a bit different. Thank you
Great Video 👍
Thanks! I appreciate the support!
Great video, subscribed! Quick question: where did you get the yellow D clips? (I think that is the correct term for those?)
Thanks! I just took some black rugged ridge shackles (amazon link in description) , and had an automotive store color match the badlands sticker.
Think the 6 inch pair would work? Would they potentially fit better without needing modify the bracket?
You'd have more room for the install that's for sure. I just like how the 8 Inch fills the space. Let me know if you try it!
Where did you get the ‘cyber orange’ shackles on the front?

Hey, just got my 8inch RC lights to go in the bumper as well, however the lights are to big for the bracket? How did you jerry rig it?
I had to make the holes in the brackets longer so that I could make them fit. If you DM me on instagram I can take pictures for you tomorrow.
