Like you, I traded a Bronco for a Bronco. My new one has the modular bumper and absolutely love it. Within 4 days of owning it, I broke out the spray paint and painted the hooks, hook covers, and skid plate. I went navy blue on the hooks, gunmetal for the covers, and silver for the skid plate. It looks amazing! I highly recommend it. Gives it a much sportier look over it being all black. You could probably incorporate the green and tan that you have on the wrap. Just a thought 🤔☺️
Great job please let me know what modifications have to be made to the non sensored modular bumper brackets to be able to bolt it up to a sensor outfitted bronco, thanks.
Great job! Good seeing Jimmy again. I wish I had the modular bumper on my new 2dr. I've been looking at lots of different options trying to pick one I really like. Just glad I finally switched to "built" after 2 months. Hopefully it will ship soon and I can pick a new bumper
Been debating on getting the modular bumper so that I can get the brush guard and light bar on there. I like the capable bumper though, nothing wrong with it
Really like my OE-installed modular bumper, apart from not having the fog lamp wiring from the factory. Lucked out and managed to find the Ford winch mount - and all of its frame enforcements - for $300. Fun tip - there's a mount for a dune flag under each of the end caps; I notched one of mine to leave a quick-attach point installed at all times.
Did you have to do anything to your pre collision assist mine seems to be giving me an error after I installed the modular bumper. Anybody have any thoughts?
Finally made it through Colorado Moab Yellowstone Mount Rushmore back to north Alabama done some trails amazed how good it climbs rocks the rear lockers make all the difference
I agree, order the Capable Bumper with your Bronco. For one thing it's made for the Bronco, with after market bumpers I found the 3 different ones I tried I just didn't like them as much, especially if you have sensors they seem not to line up as well as the factory one does. And also if you have the sensor for cruise control again you either have to move it or it gets blocked partially. Plus with all the cool and different style light options there are, really no need to switch. I will say if you are using a winch, then I would switch bumpers as the winch under the bumpers is much more useful than on top and again you don't have to move the cruise control sensor.
Neat, so, when I bought a winch plate for mine, I needed to relocate the sensors to the front of the winch plate, which had no holes in it. I cut the holes with the same 1 inch hole saw as you guys did, but ordered a new set of sensor mounts from Metalcloak for $20 and they were perfect. I think I'll wait for Super Celebration West to do any further mods! I'm just about how I wanted to be :)
My black Diamond was supposed to come with the modular bumper but in 2022 ford changed that as a standard item on the black diamond so it came with a capable bumper. I was upset at first but really came to like the capable bumper. It looks really good and like you said, it came with fog lights! I just ordered the rough country hidden winch setup with the 12k winch. Seems like a pretty legit setup that shouldn’t effect your approach angle too much. It maybe something you can look into and see just how good it works on more rocks. I’m in Louisiana so I don’t see too much of those here.

What did you guys do for the fog light plugs? Did you plug them or cut them? I just got a modular bumper and I'll be putting it in on soon.

Did you check if the holes were a metric size? I find when they are in within an imperial unit gap this is the case.

I am looking at doing the RC winch. I’m gonna put it head to head with something else :) I think it’s a great option!
