    As a pacers fan, it is really concerning... after reaggravating his injury last season and rushing back while clearly not healthy yet to clear the 65 game mark, he lost all his confidence. He has looked broken mentally in most games. His game was all about drive and kick or score depending on how defenses reacted, and now he seems to just roam around the perimeter waiting for something to happen, and deferring to others without really creating anything. I hope it is an injury and, if so, that the pacers just rest/fix him... but I dont know at this point, mentally he is not there

    • @marcelmarshall4240
      @marcelmarshall4240 Месяц назад +1

      His ego, like 99 percent of the league..was due to undeserved media hype. He is not that good. That ugly jump shot says NO SKILL, yet this is the ‘most-skilled era’ ever, right? What we REALLY are seeing is how trash this era is as every team is falling off because the players have come down to earth. Giannis can no longer travel, carry and bulldoze people on his way to the hole. Lillard is being shown to not be a top 75 caliber player, which he NEVER was. Embiid is a complete disaster. Paul George has always been EXTREMELY overrated and very inconsistent. Jokic cannot really carry a team like Bron did with the Cavs. Bron is old and ruining the Lakers for stats and Bronny nonsense. Luka is a one-dimensional absolute LIABILITY on defense. He is almost unplayable when it comes to crunch time because he will get EASILY blown by. Edwards just dribbles around for ten minutes trying to find a screen to free him..and jacks up 3’s like he is Curry..but he is not. He has a low-motor and disappears for long stretches. Tatum is the only 6’10” dude I have seen brick LAYUPS on the regular, and Brown can barely dribble. The league is ALL hype..no substance. NONE of these dudes in this era are as good as advertised..or the ratings would not be in the dumpster. Fans can tell truth from fiction.

    I really think that it’s just because they have no respected shooters. Physically it does look like something’s off, but I really think Hali is a feeling raiser more then a floor raiser. He can be your best guy, but you need to have a very competent shooting team around him so that his play making and scoring can really shine. Like the pacers are hitting their threes but it’s because nobody respects them to actually be drawn out of the paint, which makes Hali way less effective.

  • @gulinp1

    Got famous, got hurt, got little slower, people started to actually plan games against him and his problems got exposed. His jump shot takes time to load and he can't just step back and shoot.
    He hardly ever goes left, and his team can't shoot and by default there is more focus on him as others provide less gravity (and that closes driving lines) .

    No Bruce Brown, point of attack defense. Transition, speed slashing.. They have away their only defender for a slow player at PF that is everything their Offense "was" not built around. Didn't value the most consistent 3pt shooter in the league. Who was also an underrated passer and set ghost screens a lot. Threw away Jalen Smith, a top 10 pick who played great basketball. Nwora who was a constant bucket... Had they focused on fixing what they needed. An elite SF, or any 3&D wing at all. Kept all 3 1sts.. Signed Hartenstein, traded Nembhard for Caruso and a Bulls 1st.. idc if they added OG, KCP, Naji Marshall, D.J. Jr., Oubre.. whoever... drafted Missi, Terrance Shannon or Tyler Kolek. Jaylen Wells with their late pick. They'd still be playing high pace, 5 out and be the best team in the East.. But the fkd up their whole team, chemistry, style and vibes to max out an old Pascal sukam.. idc what his numbers look like. He's what ruined this team. They never played the same again since the trade.. His stats don't lead to wins and he's sure as hell not a leader. Or a go to guy, or elite defender. So why the hell pay him 48million dollars to not be a great Offensive player, or that good on D... if you're going to blow up the best #1 Offense the league has ever seen.. you sure as hell better know what you're getting in return and that you aren't giving away key heart pieces of the team.. Heild was more than a team too. He was Halis best friend here.. Pacers ignorant panic management is why they're playing sht basketball.. and in all honesty. I think Haliburton's not feeling the new team and his heart is simply not in it.. If you watched them in the playoffs. They had to fight so hard, swinging the ball all around like crazy to find any kind of movement. It felt soo forced. Because what they were once before if simply not there now. Hali hasn't been getting cuts into the lane at all for no look passes which he did constantly before and that was largely in part to all those guy's I just named and maintaining pace 3's with defense in Brown who played all 5 positions. I was furiously pissed at the very moment I heard they traded for Pascal. Still am.. because I know what they could have done.. just as they could have added any wings and Cs the past 4 years and haven't done it ever. Instead they draft the same bs players every draft.. all they draft are point guards.. undersized bigs who have 0 talent.. let prototype SF's and bigs, other guy's with tons of actual basketball skills and fundamentals slide right past them.. or select some ignorant azz tj leaf alike player again this year.. They have no idea how to draft, or select players in FA, or trades.. So they will always be doomed and will never win a championship. Small markets need to know when, who to select and what pieces are important. Make the most of small trades.. they obviously can't do that.

He had an insane year last year because benedict wasn't there and he had more to do in the backcourt and he had nice shooting percentage. Like he is a good shooter and a good passer, but that is about it. Tyrese has literaly one move the cradling and sliding around the perimeter and pulling up aside his defender... he was never able to get by defenders easily which is puzzling to me for a guard in the NBA. Combine that with no defense + an insane shooting slump and there you have it lmao.

      Well that’s because you don’t watch any of his games lol. You cherry pick bad moments that you just happened to catch live. He also hit a game winner in the playoffs. He also had good games in the playoffs. I do watch his games, and he has been clutch way more often then he has not been clutch. Even this season he has a high efficiency on clutch shots.

    He's injured. And has been since the season started.
    He wore a back brace in the Hornets game. He can barely get up from a layup sometimes.
    Which tells me that it is an issue that could have him out of the season if he gets it fixed. Which he needs to.

Only thing that makes this weird is the amount of people that really wantt the Pacers to not be the 2021 Hawks.

    As a pacer fan I mean no disrespect but we got several lucky breaks to get us to the conference finals and Halliburton was getting inconsistent end of last season anyway so this isn’t surprising. They will be lucky to make the playoffs this year with how little they’ve improved their defense and relying on inconsistent offense. Look to Mathurin and jarace walker to get more freedom to score if Hali can’t hack it
