Great video. We have a 2018 Coachmen, Ive done the rear sway bar upgrade and repositioned the front swaybar. These did help but I’m seriously considering the sumo springs and steering stabilizer. Thank you for your video and keep posting, love your content. Going full time in February. Leaving PA and heading south, chasing 70 degree weather.
Wayne Whiteside Thanks for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed the video. The sumo springs and Safe T make a big difference in the stability of our coach. Thank you for the kind words and make sure to subscribe as we put out content every week!! Good luck on going full time. We have 6 years until we make the dive!!!
Wish you mention tire covers. Been looking for inexpensive ones without much success. Good video... Were you whispering at the back so the front wouldn't get jealous ? LOL
Hello, we recently purchased. 2019 Baystar and we love it. My question is about the lights. I am a bit confused and I want to make sure I order the correct bulbs from Amazon. Am I ordering Beamtech 9005 AND Beamtech H11. Thanks!!! Love your videos.
I Purchased a new 1999 mountain air gas model and I had those items installed in my unit made a difference from night and day. That was the best upgrade I’ve done for that motorhome
Great video. I have almost the same coach. Baystar 3408 2019 same colours. Have you noticed a better ride over cracks etc with the sumos? I did the safetyplus and Roadmaster sway bars with a big improvement in handling but wonder about how to improve Ride quality. Thanks Bert
Thanks Bert. The Sumo springs really help control lean and handling. Not so much ride quality. I believe upgrading to Koni shocks help improve the ride but it’s not something we have done yet. Hope that helps and thanks again for watching!
@@EndlessRVing I'm sorry for the dumb comment. I really enjoy your channel. You seem to cover a lot of things I have interest in and I always look forward to your next video!
Put Beamtechs in today...WOW... what a difference...still plan on not driving at night unless just have to..but at least now when I have to won't feel like I'm driving in the dark :) Safe-T-Plus and rear trac bar next week
Hey Jim yes the LED’s are a big improvement. We just finished up about 1,500 mile trip and some of it was in the dark. The LED’s are great. Maybe a Lightbars next? Izzy
We did several of the same upgrades. SafeT plus and snap pads. We are gonna do sumo springs soon and the gutter extensions. The gutter extension you did looks nice compared to many homemade fixes that people have suggested. Nice video Izzy.
Our Epic RV Adventure sumo springs are huge improvement in sway reduction as well as the rear track bar. The gutter took a little seemed work but easy to install. Just self tap screw and silicone to existing gutter. No more streaks down the sidewall!! Thanks for watching the video and comment. Izzy
Just subscribed. I found you watching an Andrew Steel video. Your coach would be a great purchase for someone when your ready to sell. Keep up the awesome work!
Hi Pat. Thank you for subscribing and the kind words. Certainly when we move up in coach whoever gets our will have a well kept coach. Thanks for watching and the comment. Izzy
Hey guys, this video was AWESOME! I was thinking I had to do to a Prevost to get a good ride but now with your add-ons I get get the great interiors of a Newmar with the ride of a Prevost 👍. One important question. Do you have a video on driving your gas Day Star in the hills or mountains? We plan on living in our Newmar when we get one in the spring going all over the USA, wondering if we really need a Dutch Star?
Hi David and thanks for the kind words. We actually are in the smokies in TN currently. You won’t have issues climbing, just won’t be what a diesel can do. Also keep in mind although the suspension upgrades make the ride better they will never be that of a DP and a Prevost is on another level. Thanks for watching and the comment. Izzy
The Casual RV'er Really must haves for our Motorhome. Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed. Make sure you subscribe as we have some good content coming out!!
Beamtechs game today, leaving for horse show in just a bit so going to wait till get back to put in since not planning on night driving. But did look at instructions and they mention might have to do some alterations. You said 15 minute easy job, so I assume you didn't have to alter anything?? I have same chassis as you as Big Blue is a 2019 Bay Star 3414.
If a person is not ready to shell out almost $2300 (parts only) for all 4 of the suspension upgrades in what order would you suggest they be added one at a time?
We have a 2020 Fleetwood Fortis (F-53 Chassis). I contacted etrailer.com about the Summo Springs. They said Summo does NOT make a spring for our FRONT. Is this true?
Snap pads are specific to your rig, so please verify which set up works with your rig. Some rigs such as 5th wheels use six, most motorhomes are 4. But make sure the pads fit your particular leveling pads. Hope that helps.
Hello from Canada, I commented on the jack pads etc in your other video. However, (a), I would be VERY careful spending too much time under your RV when it is supported only by leveling jacks. If you blow a hose (5000 psi) the jack will collapse and you will die. I have blown 4 of them in 7 years. Just saying. (b), MY RV is a 35' class A gas, but it is only 11' 6'' high and weights 18,000 loaded. To be honest, I don't feel the roll and all of that as many say. Now, the Canyon star's that I have seen, appear to be higher and that could make a difference. If the CS is 13' , that is an extra 1.5" at the top and that could matter. I also never drive more than 52-55 mph as well which may help. I have RVing for 30 years. In my older class C because the front wheels were spaced closer together and it weighed less than half as much you would get some push from the trucks, but I found after a while it was not that bad. The worst was in northern Ontario where a 40 km/h wind blew for like 4 days ...
Hi Henri. Even if my jack blew out I still have plenty of room under coach when it’s on it’s wheels. When I did my suspension upgrades, I also used heavy duty jack stands as a backup when I removed the wheel. Thanks for watching and the comment. Izzy
My biggest thing is the wind. Just came back home from Florida with heavy rain.... rain? No problem. The wind behind the rain?... holy smokes! Backed down to 45mph in 70mph zone. Still had to do alot of 2 fisted white knuckle driving. Looking into rear track bar and maybe something like the sumo fronts. Might do air bags on the rear as I tow a trailer on occasion.
@@ThePeopleVerse What type of RV are you driving? We upgraded from the 2000 Sea Breeze to a 2018 Georgetown GT5 both 35' class A gas. The newer one rides so much better, but is softer and I find on secondary roads there can a roll on uneven pavement so I slow down even to 40 km/h if I have to. Where we are right now the winds blows a lot and some days when I drive it, I really do not notice it that much. This rig is 20,500 lbs and we are loaded and I tow a 4000 lb jeep. Dunno, but my experience with these rigs has not been as wild as you suggest above. Now to be fair this rig has some Morryde upgrades, but these are unspecified. My guess would be sway bars as there are no spring helpers and there are the proper number of leaves in the springs. Travel safe. Henri

There are 2 different bulbs. I believe we put them in the description of the video. They make a big difference. Thanks for watching
I noticed on Amazon they had 10,000 8,000 and 6,500 listed under the 9005 H11 is this for High Beams And Lower For the Low Beams. Thanks
The numbers are the color of the beam.

If I’m not mistaken the Tiffin gas coaches have the Sumo springs not sure about the safety steer though.
As of 2019 it was an option on Tiffin gassers. It is not an option on Newmar, but it’s not a bad DIY, I’m pretty sure I saved some $$ doing it myself.
Terrific video

It’s a shame you have to buy all these aftermarket upgrades to make your expensive RV work like it should.

Disappointed in Newmar for low quality bulbs in the front!!!!! Their coaches are not inexpensive. Good quality lights are essential for driving!!!!
