This explains why I've always likes fins with less rake and why I like my single fin further up in the box, because the board can turn faster and you can pivot if you like. Really liking this series Glen. Thx

These videos are great. And all respects to a OG legend master board builder Glenn Pang. Such iconic boards and shapes, and the logo.

Couple of extra observations: Depending on their placement, quad trailers can draft behind the sides, resulting in very little extra drag...basically like riding a twin, but with more drive.
As far as rakey vs upright sides in a quad, it depends on where you're surfing. At mushy/gutless spots, there isn't much steepness (or lip), so "release" isn't really an issue. In this case, I use rakey sides for all the drive possible. I tried upright sides at my local crap spot and they were useless.

    Twin fin question:
Would you choose an upright or keel fin on a classic twin fin fish? And why? I recently got one but don't know which kind of fin I should be using..
    Thanks master Peng!!

Thank you so much for your question! I'm Devin, the marketing and content specialist for T&C surf. We go out and film with Glenn in order to create these tutorials and other content but Glenn doesn't see these comments directly as he works at our surfboard factory in the shaping bay making world class boards! I didn't want you to feel let down if you didn't get an answer to your question but I have your question written dow and I'll ask Glenn the next time I see him 🤙🏼

just purchased an Aipa Big Boy Sting in 7"8". While at the shop, I chose a set of Futures twin fins, (Son of Cobra) that have a 7.5 degree of cant. How will this angle affect the performance?
