Austin arranged this medley and he did a great job. The rooster pops up in several videos - some German home fries had given multiple roosters to Chris Rupp and the boys way back in the day. It's so Home Free to include them in some of their videos. Fun reaction - thanks Nick. 🐓🍟

The rooster just to show up in a lot of their videos (sort of an Easter egg). It now sits on the bookshelf at Austin's house. You can see it in the video Quarantine.

It’s a good one. They’re so good at putting them all together. The chicken thing is something they did when Chris (cowboy hat) was with them. Fans used to send chickens and they used them in a lot of videos but when Chris left the group they stopped it. Other Home Fries will know more. Good reaction Nick!🥰
I think Adam Rupp's incomparable rhythm sets Home Free apart from all other acapella groups and makes these fabulous medleys SO incredibly smooth❣️

Can't agree - the Derailed version of Guilty Pleasures is not as funny (the secret's in the name - it went wrong). By the time that was filmed, they'd done it a hundred times and had got sloppy. Because Austin and Tim were laughing so much, the ending makes no sense. There are several versions where they're all tight and on point with the gag lines and reactions, instead of just cranking them out. I know it's a matter of taste but to me the Derailed looks a bit unprofessional.

I really enjoy your reactions. It's awesome to see a reactor who both react to their old stuff and their newer stuff. Many misses their older stuff which is a shame, because there are so many amazing arrangements. Personally I actually prefer their older videos to their new ones, because the creativity shined through so much more.
For the old stuff I'll recommend 'All About That Bass' (and for you to watch the original music video first), 'Fishing In the Dark/Boondocks', 'Honey I'm Good' and 'Good Ol' Country Harmony' (an original by Tim) and of course 'Ring of Fire'.
For their newer stuff I'll let the rest of the fries do the recoomendations, as I usually agree.
I'll also recommend watching all their live performances from the Sing Off, and my suggestion would be to watch them with the intro and the judges comments, just because then you get some background info.
"Everything Will Be Okay" and "Any Way the Wind Blows" are two more fabulous old originals though I must admit I'm not sure who wrote them :)
These guys can do such a variety of performances and the are so entertaining and fun, such great guys to share their wonderful personality with us along with their awesome talent!❤

As always ❤ your reaction! A good one to check out with these guys is “American Pie” they sing with the original singer/songwriter Don McLean. And in this one they all take turns at having a solo part! Plus it’s such an epic song and by having Don sing with them makes it even better!

Great reaction! This is such a fun mashup of songs. Very cleverly done from one song to another. I didn't know most of these songs. But I don't care as it is just so much fun to watch. The talent these guys have is phenomenal. They have so much fun but the vocals never suffer. And Adam's beatboxing is on another level.
You have GOT to check out their Guilty Pleasures skit! I would suggest watching one that goes the way it's supposed to before watching the ones that got derailed just so you have a point of reference for what makes those so funny.
I am gonna see them in concert December 1st. I can hardly wait!
Other medleys you might like are the "Hunter Hayes Medley", "The Butts Medley" and "Alabama Sampler". This really shows off their disparate talents - the high & low notes & Adam's beatboxing. The rooster lives on - in their 'quarantine' series it's on a shelf in a bookcase in Austin's house. Love your channel!

Home Free is releasing a new album soon and they are all songs they sang when they were on the “Sing Off” in 2014. They have just released 2 of the songs accompanied by video! One last week, “Pretty Woman” and this week “Life is a Highway”. The sing off was fun to watch and a good way to get to know the guys. And these new releases are just as good!
they are the BEST....Nick check out their new onw that dropped yesterday.....their cover of "Oh, pretty woman" the 1964 Roy Orbison classic,.....of course it has their unique sense of humor as well !!!
Alto is a lower female voice. Home Free has two tenors (Austin and Rob), a bass-who can also be a tenor when he feels like it (Tim), a baritone/bass (Chance/Chris). and a beat boxer/tenor, I think (Adam).😀
These guys have done some amazing Christmas songs as well, check out "O Holy NIght", "Do you hear what I hear", "Tennessee Christmas", "Mary did you know", "Christmas in Dixie" with Alabama, "Snow Globe", "Children go where I send thee" with Kenny Rogers

It's call pop music because "pop" is an abbreviation for "popular," or perhaps "popularized." The implication is that it's simple enough that people who know little or nothing about music history or theory, who have never played an instrument or sung a note, can still enjoy it.
A parallel would be the way people like Neil deGrasse Tyson or Bill Nye or Carl Sagan "popularize" science, so that, for example, even people who never taken an astronomy, math, or physics course still can have at least a foggy idea of what a black hole is.
