Home Free is the best vocal group. They are in a league all their own. They don't make a bad song or video. Come on down the "rabbit hole" known as Home Free with the rest of us!!!
Want the badonkadonk? Butts Remix. And the more you dive into this group, the more you will be amazed/addicted. Plus, the Home Fries (fans) will show up to comment, like, and subscribe. I will give you a rundown of Home Free as of the time this video was made: From left to right: Adam Rupp, beatboxer, back row. Co-founder of the group. From Minnesota. Austin Brown, high tenor, front row. Joined 2013. From Georgia. Rob Lundquist, tenor, back row. Joined 2008. From Minnesota. Tim Foust, bass, front row. Joined 2012. From Texas. Chris Rupp, baritone, back row. Co-founder of the group. From Minnesota. He would leave the group in mid-2016 for his solo career.
If you wan to hear Adam Rupp ballout on some of his percussion listen to his work on Home Free's cover of Sawyer Brown's "Some Girls Do".....also MayDaybut you gotta wait to understand the surprise element in that one....you gotta get to know the guys better....but please do Butts Remix & Some Girls Do....the latter one Adam Rupp goes off !!!
This medley was arranged by Austin Brown, the guy with the highest voice, sitting on the left - they do have outside arrangers, particularly their producer, Darren Rust, but they've always been involved in the process. I'm really glad to see you reacting to more Home Free - old favourites like this and the Butts Remix are wonderful, but they're still making great music now - from beautiful songs like When A Man Loves A Woman to thoughtful collaborations like People with Jeffrey East.
Yes Darren Rust does a lot of the arrangements & I think he's their producer. He does an awesome job. One of the best arrangements is by Adam Rupp the beatboxer for the Christmas song, Do you hear what I hear. The breathy percussion, the vocal range; Austin's highs & Tim's bass & such beautiful harmonies. It's one of my favourites. I'm also amazed at how well they combine songs in their mashups.. Another good one is Woman, Amen/ Female. Great reaction.
This video is so hilarious, from Rob doing Single Ladies dancing to the Continuity Error Chicken getting pulled from Tim's pocket at the end (watch the video carefully, you'll see the chicken appear and disappear from Tim's pocket a number of times!) But even when they did these kind of funny videos, they were and are always rock solid musically. Love Home Free!
From what I have heard Austin Brown, their high tenor in the white shirt is the one who arranged this. Loved your reaction to Home Free, I am a huge fan and would enjoy more reaction to Home Free !!!!
Great reaction Jarvis. You’re right, the beatboxer is Adam Rupp. He’s amazing. Home Free won the NBC show the Sing Off in 2013 the year after Pentatonix won. They’re friends too. Home Free is a country “a cappella” band but they sing all genres of music, Country, pop, R & B, gospel. Their harmonies are so good. And they aren’t afraid to be funny. Yes, you got a glimpse of their mashup the Butts Medley. You would probably love it. Try End of the Road, Helplessly Hoping, I Can’t Outrun You to hear more great harmonies.
they are my favorite(have tickets for october) but another great group is voiceplay, fantastic bass and beatboxer too. for home free you can't go wrong as they do all genres. end of the road=R&B, blue ain't your color=motown, the butts remix=everything and hilarious, how great thou art and amazing grace=gospel, take me home=folk/country and imo best harmonies, man of constant sorrow=bluegrass/folk and adam is AMAZING in it. have fun
I hope y'all had a good time at the shows. I know 3 shows were kick back until June; hope they weren't yours. I found out about the group late in the game so all at the front row (need to account for my disability) seats for anywhere close were taken. I'm flying to Victoria, BC from Central California the first week of May and hoping for more available shows on their next tour, whenever that may be.
This description matches up with the song Mayday. Up front from left to right Rob is the big guy with the beard he sings second tinner and falsetto, in the middle is Tim he's singing falsetto right now and he's the Bass, Austin sings first tenor, and also sings falsetto! Now the two in the back starting on the left, the beatboxer is Adam, he's magical. Next is Chris, who looks like Leonardo DiCaprio, he sings second Tenor, also Alto which is mid-range, and Baritone as you just heard! Also check out, How Great thou art, Man of constant sorrow, helplessly hoping, Mayday and Elvira!
I’m playing catch-up. It’s always good when you close your eyes on the first three notes. They are so great and have such good chemistry to be able to harmonize so easily. I love watching your reactions and how you are able to pick it apart. You’re my favorite to watch!
Adam Rupp has got to be the best beatboxer of All times.. Home Free has got to be the best acapella group of all times this is so brilliant.. the rooster they just put in one of their videos and they decided to keep it in there so if you ever see them when Chris Rupp was in there you'll see that rooster..
The rooster was something given to them by a fan early on, and it shows up in most of their early videos in one form or another.....great reaction...you will love the Butts Remix....and the Ed Sheeran/Marvin Gaye mix....you will love them.
We love our Home Free guys! Great reaction, hope you do more of their music Random rooster was in every video ( like an Easter egg) from All about that bass until Chris Rupp(one of bands founders) left
Greetings from a danish fry / new sub a friendly warning when you say you like our guys the fries will come running and we are a very loyal bunch . The rooster was a gift from a fan and in the early videos Chris Rupp / brother to Adam -MR FREAK OF NATURE used to hide it in the videos for the fries to find . Much love from Denmark
Hello, have watched your reactions to Home Free for a couple months and love the way you point out thing that us average people don't notice. Thank you for the input
I've been sub'd for a while to you now. For two reasons; 1) I like your enthusiasm; it's catching, and 2) You keep playing Home Free! So that's a winning combo for me!
Glad to see you finding Home Free. I will subscribe just to watch your reaction to this amazing Group. Get ready to fall into the Home Free Rabbit Hole.!!!!!
There is a song Called Colder Weather and in one of their concerts Austin forgets the words which is awesome. You get to see the fun side of them and also how they can pull a song back together after a screw up. You will have tears running down your face from laughing so hard. Tim adds his silliness at the end to it. You can tell by his facial expressions he is up to something. Check it out. This is it, type this in or copy and paste to go to link. Colder Memory Lapse - What They Were Thinking
Hi from a Home Fry! Welcome to our world and hold on tight if you play more Home Free, as we love our guys and you will see us everywhere they are. I enjoyed the reaction and just subbed. All of their songs are awesome, just pick one and go. However, the ones already listed are fan favorites.....but we all have more than one song we love so more recommendations will follow.
Subscribed today. Enjoyed your reaction a lot! Fun! Austin Brown with the long hair, high tenor voice arranged this one quite a few years ago. Took a lot of work! It's awesome. I love watching people react to this one. Blows minds! Welcome to the Home Free journey. So much fun, so many great ones to watch. Butts Remix, hilarious! End of the Road, wow!, Can't Stop the Feelin'. So many. Take care.
New sub for more Home Free! Love these guys and I love watching others discover therm as well! OK, “Butts Remix” is the one you just caught a glimpse of. “Hillbilly Bone” is also good fun! If you’d like to learn more about their history, the easiest way is to watch their performances on Season 4 of The Sing-Off, WITH JUDGES REMARKS! Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!
New subscriber! Came for the Homefree, and hopefully more Homefree! You should definitely check out the Butts Remix! The guy with fantastic voice in the beginning is Tim Foust is their bass with the honey coated 5 octave voice! Thank you for your reaction!!
In addition to the various suggestions already made, you might get a kick out of "Sold". There's a crazy bass drop in it that Tim swears is Adam, and Adam says is Tim. But it's also just really fun. A quick rundown on the guys: Adam Rupp you already know. He also occasionally sings tenor harmony. There's two, count them, two songs where he sings lead -- "How Great Thou Art" for a whole 6 words/ notes and "Quarantine" for a whole 3 words / 5 notes. But if you're ever listening to them do 5 part harmony and there's a high note that goes on forever, and it's not Austin, it's Adam. Tim Foust, the first guy to sing here. Bass. Really, really, inhumanly deep bass when he wants to be. Has broken sound systems, made cameras shake, made ceiling tiles fall at concerts. They had a pregnant friend who was warned by her OB/GYN to not attend their concert because the doctor was worried Tim's bass *might induce premature labor*. He has a 5+ octave range, so he can go pretty high as well. Rob Lundquist, "All the Single Ladies" guy, tenor. Has a voice like satin, just excellent blues voice. Austin Brown, their high tenor. He arranged this mashup. He's a Georgia boy who toured with his dad's gospel group on summer breaks as a kid, and you can usually hear that in his voice, but he's also classically trained, so he can drop the accent when needed. Chris Rupp, guy with the hat who kissed a girl and liked it. Their original baritone. He and Adam founded Home Free in 2000. He left to pursue a solo career a few years back, so you won't see him in newer videos. Instead, you'll see Adam Chance, or just Chance to distinguish him from Adam Rupp. He's a bass baritone with a voice like fine bourbon. He drops down to the bass line when Tim sings lead. Looks a bit like Leonardo DiCaprio and often wears a baseball cap. (It appears they replaced one hat-wearing baritone with another hat-wearing baritone.)
Nice! Definitely check out the Butts Medley / Butts Remix from the outtro. The chicken was an Easter egg for fans to find in their earlier videos, although it wasn’t so much hidden in this one.
Can't Help Falling In Love | VoicePlay A Cappella is another group you should check into. Geoff Castellucci has a deep voice like Tim. Home Free and VoicePlay are my go-to A Capella groups.
Great reaction! In addition to the Butts Remix and End of the Road, I'd suggest Hillbilly Bone (featuring the bass, Tim) and Take Me Home Country Roads. Or just pick one of the videos - just stay away from Mayday for now (please).
So many excellent songs…try one of their newer ones (quarantine) like “Sea Shanty Melody” and “Everybody Walk-in’ This Land,” “ End of the Road,” “When A Man Loves A Woman.” Also, Adam Rupp (beat boxer) has a couple of other drum solo videos on yt and Austin Brown (high tenor) has a channel here on yt as well. Loved your reaction!

The rooster was one of their first gifts from a fan, and it always appeared in their early videos like a hidden Mickey.

Yeah...you really need to watch the " Butts Remix" and their "End of the Road" cover. You wont believe it! Thanks so much for looking into them!
I thought the same, luckily I found this late enough he already had, so it's queued up LOL
But has he done Man of Constant Sorrow yet?
Do yourself and your viewers a huge move forward and explore this group. There are obviously goats in all walks of life... this is another one.
The butt remix and all about that bass

LOVE this video!
In addition to the various suggestions already made, you might get a kick out of "Sold". There's a crazy bass drop in it that Tim swears is Adam, and Adam says is Tim. But it's also just really fun.
A quick rundown on the guys:
Adam Rupp you already know.
That outro was part of their Butts Remix. Their beatboxer, Adam, really shines in that one.
o yes!!!
Please watch Go rest high on that mountain 🙏🌹
Def will check it out soon!
You really can't go wrong listening to any Home Free song.

yesss everyone keeps suggesting them im going to have to check them out soon!
I really like Good ol’ Country Harmony!
Tim Foust's range is crazy. Love this group!

IMO,these guy are the best in the business
The rooster is because they can be very comical.
the rooster is in all of the older videos. you just have to look for him. he's like a mascot. like where's waldo, where's the rooster, lol
There is a roster in the video because back in the day they used to hide them in their video can't remember which ones had it
Ahhhh!!! Thats clever
One great cover they did was "Wake Me Up" by Avicii. It doesn't get enough credit for how good it was done by Home Free.
Darren Rust is their producer/arranger for the most part. He's fantastic. They all arrange various songs.
