- A relationship reality check, should you stay together or breakup?
In this video coaching newsletter I discuss two different emails from two different viewers. The first email is from a guy who started following my work about six years ago after he came home from work and found his then wife, the woman of his dreams, in bed with another man. That led to a fight and a series of negative consequences that he’s still dealing with in his career to this day. Needless to say, his marriage didn’t last. He shares how my work radically changed his life for the better. However, recently he ran into his ex wife again and they started seeing each other. One thing led to another. She wants more, he’s hesitant for obvious reasons, but she’s so hot, he’s considering giving her another chance. The second email is a follow-up email from the woman whose email I discussed in my newsletter, “Why Women Lose Interest.” She gives an update after she asked her friends with benefits guy to be exclusive. His response left her confused. She asks my opinion.
“When it comes to love and romance, we tend to project the fantasy of what we want onto others, while ignoring the reality that they’re not a match and cannot offer what we’re looking for. Since we tend to make our decisions based upon emotion and use logic and reason to justify our decisions, we talk ourselves into making bad choices in our personal lives that lead to unnecessary heartache and heartbreak. This can lead to enormous personal, professional and financial setbacks. Not to mention the loss of time, our most precious, perishable and shrinking resource. When you consider that it takes the average person one and a half years to recover from the breakup of a long-term relationship, it’s never a good idea to ignore your intuition, reality and allow yourself to get carried away by the emotions of our projected romantic fantasies. This video hit home for me because being a man in the army I went through almost the exact same thing. I found coaches work because of my divorce. I found my ex-wife with another man during our anniversary. It got so bad that is was affecting my work.
After applying coaches work I was successfully able to get my ex back but the fact is the damage was done and there was no going back. I finally picked up, PCS somewhere else, got the job I wanted, and am now with woman who is ten times better then my ex.

I hesitated to turn the tables the other night but didn't hesitaste to walk away. This girl caught me off guard. Hit me with the "don't want to lead you on" after we been cool for months. I knew shit was shaky, but damn I get sick of the games. She basically disrespect the shit out of me cause I think she needed me to decide to walk. So I did. peace.
Had a girl tell me "I'm here for a good time not a long time" so I turned it around and said "I'm not into scoring on rebounds." She looked like she wanted to kill me.
Small story on trusting your gut feeling that’s happen to me this month .I’ve been with ex girl friend for 11 months, she was super lovely, caring, my cheerleader, super loyal and always want me 24/7 like a drug, super fucking healthy and around the last week couple of weeks of the relationship things went downhill like every relationship, fighting and not pointless arguments, I later realized she cheated on me with her friend and this was the first time in her life she has done it. I kicked her out of my life because I didn’t want to affiliate with her, I couldn’t do an open relationship. She’s young 19yrs old, I’m 21. She said to me it was because she was insecure and she’s fucked up. “Once a cheater always a cheater” she said she’s going to change but I highly doubt that. At one point of the relationship my gut feeling was telling me so many signs and telling me to leave and I also saw a lot of red flags but ignored it because I was heavily invested in my emotions. Long story short. I’m out of this toxic relationship with my ex for good. This was something I didn’t want but maybe something I needed. Always looking in a positive note, I’m healing which takes time but I’m happy.

Yes, I did end it. Honestly it has been a hard road. But I made the right decision. Read the book many times, kept centered on myself and met someone new. Things are going great for now. She has tried to come back in my life after the fairlytail ended. Trust is gone and I was second choice. I am nobody's second choice and neither are you. Stay strong and be positive.

Hi Corey, off topic, but I wanted to let you know that I appreciate what you do. I discovered you about three or four years ago and while I have ingrained your teachings into my everyday life, I'm still able to return to your videos every now and then when I'm in need. I can honestly say that there is no other person that has had a bigger impact on my life, when it comes to relationships, than you. These teachings also carry over to other aspects of my life that are unexpected. I imagine at times it could become tedious to be talking about these things that you've been talking about for years, but I'm glad that you're still doing it. No doubt there are people that were desperately in need of what you teach in the last year and they have had the luxury of being able to find you and answer those questions. Had you moved on to other things they would be left wanting for somebody to guide them in the right direction. What you do matters a lot and helps a lot of people. Thank you.
Who else agrees that in either scenario of staying together or choosing to break-up is all based upon lack of real education on #RolesAndRelationships that is not taught by either your parents or your school teachers? (Bare in mind a lot of relationship problems are avoidable had you had the knowledge from early and seen it implemented by others around you)

Most of our decisions are governed by feelings, then we use our logic to justify our decisions.
One of the most under appreciated perspectives that, I believe, you introduce to your students, is the fact that some relationships are quite simply NOT life affirming and therefore not worth saving.

Catching someone in the act of burglary being another. I don't see what the military expected him to do? Say "okay just take my wife and leave?"
Choosing to stay in a failed relationship is like choosing to keep drinking even when it's a net negative on your life. I've stayed in failed relationships and I've chosen to drink when I knew I should stop. Eventually the skies clear along with your mind, and you realize enough is enough. Once you get your head on straight, you won't believe what you put yourself through. It's embarrassing.

Stay together with your wife but also stay together with your boyfriend. That will bring security and understanding to the relationship. When I had to go out of town they would also spend time together and our pitbull would join them. I would recommend this to anyone. My wife and boyfriend are my life!

So I’ve been in a long distance relationship for 1 year and it’s been no easy road the biggest struggle we face together is not only the distance as I’m living in New Jersey and she lives in Arkansas I’ve visited 3 times and stood over her parents house as we are very abstaining from sexual contact for religious reasons and when we are together we never argue we never fight and our emotions are exploding so much that she even said that she recognizes when we are together just how stronger of a bond we have together in person than we could ever have at distance and I dwelt and got a hold of that and juiced it for as long as time would allow now the thing is I would eventually have to come back home to where it became difficult after months I have just visited her for a week and I find it so difficult because I know it’s the physical touch ect that she misses but also she struggles with an extremely sensitive mind for example I’ll say the sky is blue and if she In the slightest way doesn’t agree with what I just said it would cause an argument thus her mind starts to think more than it should along with mines as well and then leading her to think about space/ break up
