Is it brighter than the P4Pro + monitor? A larger monitor is something lots of us have been waiting for. It's better than the goggles as we can still maintain line-of-sight with the quad. 7.85" model sounds perfect for me. While we're talking, I'd love a harness like the Cotton Carrier to mount the controller and monitor to, not a neck strap. Has its own battery? GREAT! 7.85" High Brightness model is $ 599.00 U.S. that's an inexpensive monitor. Thank you DJI, this is a great gear addition!
7.85" High Brightness is $1300Au here and you don't even get a charger for the thing, what a joke. I think that I will wait for a third party to capitalize on this before I make a purchase. For that price I can get a decent 4k smart tv here in Australia with all of it's features instead of just a basic brighter screen. :(
What a game changer! This is crazy. Now you can get the Phantom 4 Pro and have an amazing screen that can take SD cards! The screen that came with the phantom 4 pro doesn't do much except that it has a bright screen. I am so happy that this came out! Thank you so much DJI!!!
We've been flying the CrystalSky 7.85 and 5.5" monitors in the desert heat around Las Vegas and the Mojave Desert since mid-June to temps up to 115 degs F without a single problem and no longer dealing with iOS tablets overheating. We just received the new 7.85" Ultra Bright and can't wait to put it to work too!
I remember iPhone won't working the temperature down below 20 degrees or too hot, It's will not charging or show the Warning logo, this device is amazing.

I think the temperature range sold me. I've been in the rocky mountains using my phone and it died due to the cold, leaving my drone in limbo until I could restart my phone. This could be a game changer!
I see someone using it with a Mavic on the beach.. So does this mean if I use Crystalsky, I won't get penalized by not logging into the DJI Go 4 app before I fly? How does that work? I thought that if you don't log into the app before flying it restricts flight altitude, speed, and distance.. Please clarify.

Is it possible that this will work with a normal camera as well for a viewing monitor? Like if i had my camera up on a gimbal and wanted to run a monitor to see what im actually shooting instead of seeing what's on my tiny screen?
Myroslava Mala must have an incredible back-office to check where the drone will fly or refuse to takeoff due to geo-fencing in her extensive journeys. Either that or the vlogging travel is very limited.
Surprised that the Inspire was able to function as shown here, from my experience and to my understanding there is a failsafe so that the Inspire's camera X5 will not operate/ turn on in below -20 conditions.
I have the 7.5 screen. While it is brighter there is still a little glare. It's still better than an Apple or Samsung though. Let's go with the updates already.

Its 2000 nits vs the P4Pro + 1000 nit display. So it's effectively double the brightness.
