You're being a bit nit picky for an inexpensive phone. Also, I have the phone. Yes, it's a bit thicker than the Moto I had, but man it rocks!! The graphics are awesome as is the picture quality. You seemed to have left out all the good things about it. The UI, the Labs, the Advanced features. Seems to me a lot of phones are coming without chargers. Show of hands how many people have countless chargers lying around? Also the new GAN chargers are awesome. So people have a charger of choice. It comes with the data cable, so it doesn't have the box.. big deal. You already have one from your old phone. I have watched many vids on RUclips prior to buying the phone and must say, you're the first person who didn't like it. We all have opinions this is true. However IF you are fortunate enough to already have/use a device better than a low end phone, why would you discourage someone who can't purchase anymore that their budget allows. The storage? Well it is what it is. They make kick a** sd cards and Google is coming out with an app to archive unused apps to free up space. Unused apps, why are they there to begin with??
Oh come one, i have the A14 5G with the Exynos 1330 chip, 4GB RAM and 128GB storage and is miles ahead of my former device A10s in both application and gaming. Even the main camera is better, taking beautiful, sharp pics especially in the daytime. I don't think there's anything negative about this phone at least in my opinion.
My issue is i have working sd cards thay work in all my devices but i get "cant write to sd card" and it says its working incorrectly and i bought a samsung sd and reformated it twice and cant find a solution... the whole point of me picking it was the expandable storage.
Sir Samsung SD cards are the most falsified brand, specially if you Buy a "special" or bargain online. Although I have to pay more, Buy one at a reputable physical store (I purchase on Office Max a Sandisk Extreme 256 GB for about $37 with taxes and works beautiful. Sandisk and PNY are very good, and PNY can be found even at a Walgreens on sale. Chinese forfeit are 2GB or 4GB with a chip that fakes the capacity to the device, and they Even not format of when they top the 2GB try to continue storing and You Will end losing your data. Happened to me two times...😢 Better Buy a good card because many familiar and musical memories are priceless.
I think the main complaint is going to be "why doesn't Samsung include the wall charger?" followed by "minimal improvement over last year's" (if you got a Samsung from 2 years ago and need to upgrade to 5G on a budget? this device will be fine). Consider this the 1st legit $199 - $150 5G device for 2023 (let's see what else is available in the next few months to compare). Get rid of the teardrop front camera (come on a hole punch is the standard now).

Just got one-my speaker went out on my iPhone XS which was 4 years old-had cost me 1300 with the Samsung fast charge-case-shield. Tired of the roller coaster ride so decided I wanted to pay something more affordable. Surprised you didn’t mention it isn’t water proof. I had a Samsung galaxy 5 over 5 years ago-liked how the camera worked where you could touch it anywhere to take a pict. The battery access went south with the 5th version. I chose the a14 to use as a phone. I like that it takes an external sdhc card up to 1 tb. That ability is fading away cause of the cloud push. Nitpicks thing are numerous having come from the Apple iPhone XS which had lots of user friendly features. I’m 3 days in the a14-just got it set up-will come back if I need to complain provided you are still up.
Well, I have a complaint. This phone lacks when I play a strong video game, it's lacks a lot. Even my internal memory of my phone, which has 8 GB RAM, it still lacks, and the video is bad and camera quality is normal. Also, I am not satisfied. Even the price of this phone is $350, but the real price is $180.

My older apple xs phone is in mint condition except for the speaker issue. I have a 6 plus in mint condition with the screen touch issue. Tired of the high price for things that are a $$$ drainer.
The phone is great as for those people you are talking about where is your source about the picky people .? because my mother got the phone about three months ago and she loves it. Friend just got one of these. I'm S-series and had never seen an A, and besides thickness, the most obvious glaring difference in the phones *to me* is the dark display (relative to ANY S-series I've had before). Pick up a USED S-series phone just for the display brightness and responsiveness! The S-anything is way thinner, as well; maybe some don't like the heavier glass, but I've dropped mine on concrete (garage floor) and it's fine. S20, S21-23+ (with the +5g I guess, not the base model), the minute it's "used", it drops in value to like $200. It's WORTH the money! Speakers, thumbprint.. ability to see the screen.
This phone is ok for the casual user but if you attempt to multitask then the phone will freeze up, not saying it's a bad phone but it's definitely the bottom of the 5g phone list , battery life is alright could be a lot better, the rear cameras are decent and take decent photos, it's a durable phone with or without a case which is a good thing, I don't use this phone as a Daily, I mainly bought it to use for mapping out my Routes and it does pretty good with service connectivity and the GPS is pretty accurate. I tried to use it for a daily phone but it doesn't work out so it's a GPS phone for me. It is cheap for anyone who needs something for call and text and decent photos. Would I recommend it to others , sure it's not bad and does beat phones that are in this price range.

I just review phones dude. It's pros and cons relative to the phone...it's really not that deep. I thank God everyday he wakes me up and puts breath in my lungs but my job is as important as anyone else's and I'm grateful he's graced me with a way I can take care of my bills and family while enjoying it at the same time. We all understand there is more important things to worry about but I give all my worries to God and he takes care of me.
You' ve gotta be kidding, 720 p on A13 5G to 1080 x2408 FHD on A14 5G is not an upgrade for you ? also the display density is quite fair at 400 ppi and also the rest doesn' t really matter, plus the thickness ? I've seen iPhones and some Realme s series thicker like the recent iPhones and the C35, no issue with that. the wall charger is one thing but droppable as I do have a Galaxy A20s so will be using its charger and 15W is ok.
I just got it because it was free and my last phone- a Motorola's- battery burst and I took the opportunity to switch providers. Anyway, the phone is fine. I have a ton of charging cubes laying around the house so charging is never an issue. My only gripe- and it's frigging infuriating until I find a different way to do it-- is taking screenshots. VOL DOWN and POWER button combo is hideous. I take more shots of the notification screen because one of those buttons doubles as a notifications window, power button I think. I'm not as young and agile as I once was and trying to take a screenshot is maddening. Anyway, other than that, it's a cheap phone but a decent one. You get what you pay for, as they say. I paid nothing, so I guess that's what I'll get? ...I guess?

Well I just bought this phone yesterday with a new line bcuz I didn't have insurance on my A13 which I previously had. Fun fact: MY PHONE actually came with a charging cable that I thought didn't come with at all until I discovered it an hour ago before this comment. Yall might want to check the box for the charging cable. The a 13 most definitely came with the full charging pack but I'm not complaining. And you ARE right about the 2 not being so different from each other. It's kinda silly to me that you was expecting the phone to have 100(+) more GB 😂😂😂 The retail price would be so much higher if it actually did have that much. The 2 biggest apps I play is call of duty mobile and marvel contest of champions. Cod mobile uses far more storage than mcoc but it's really enough to download ALL my resources and still have plenty room on both devices. As of now I'm still tryna figure out how to get the game recording thing going that supposed to be in the navigation bar when you're on a game app to instantly take a sreenshot, record and do other stuff.

When I'm texting by using my voice if it does something wrong and spelling and I want to use my keyboard to correct it I can't just get the keyboard to pull up I have to go to the wheel and then to the top left and then back down to my keyboard to get it to work.

As long as you have minimal apps on it and just use it for making calls and occasional internet use its okay for $200. Beyond that it's slow, it freezes up when texting, when using voice-to-text and when using the internet, especially on RUclips. Basically just use it to make phone calls, occasional internet use, the only field about three or four apps on it and you're okay

Just got this phone last week. My last phone was the J2 Pro so I was so amazed when I upgraded. I didn't even know that there were a lot of design thingies that would've been better. So yeah, I love this. My only issue is that thay Messenger chat heads disappear whenever I open the Settings app. Maybe there is just a setting that I have yet to set up..
I paid $80 for this phone through Tracfone, thinking it would be an upgrade from my Samsung A13 5G. It's not. They got rid of the top front speaker and they have done away with the equalizer, which let you improve the tinny sound of that tiny speaker. If you have something you like, stay with that until something better becomes available.
I got this phone a couple of weeks ago. And i do not have a signal at all at my house. But, its not the phone it the service. Dont get T-mobile. I am very disappointed with their service.
Avoid this phone! Bought one and January and it was great. The first time I dropped it, the power button popped out. I decided to buy another one instead of getting the first one fixed. I dropped that one as well while delivering. The 2nd phone now shuts off randomly. Do not buy!
I've had 2 of these handsets in a week. Both of them the headphone jack doesn't work and it's supposed to support a standard 3.5mm jack. Taking this one back to the shop again.
Just got one ! Not my first choice but with a good plan. Been setting it up hours: 1) It charges too slow by lots !; 2) It has little storage or memory; 3) The camera is not as good as my last Samsung, in fact, I don't like the camera much at all; 4) Initally put off by the thickness but now ok with it in general. Only had mine for a couple of days. Had to change as my iPhone is now too old. The only thing I don't like so far is that you can't change individual ringtones for your contacts. or at least I cant on mine.

This phone has a powerful SOC equivalent to a Snapdragon 720 it's only $79 on boost mobile that's all it's worth to me because after time it will go down to that price it's basically a celero 5G from boost both phones basically have the same specs it's not worth $200 in my opinion TCL have a phone identical specs Samsung cameras are little better and I think that screen is 1080p
If u have the A14 4G, then sure, but the A14 5G dude I have it, I can play games at high resolution, and it is good, RUclips doesn't even freeze and it loads web pages quickly top of that I have 8 games and a 128GB SD and storage hasn't been a problem
After I put a glass screen protector, it looks bulky and heavy. I am using a 19.5 W charger but it is still slow compared to my other phone 60% more faster which cost a few dollars more.

The 15w Samsung Charger achieves it at 9v x 1.67A: 15w (the phone OEM box states that clearly) If your current charger does not has the 9v range the Charger You have will revert to the standard 5V x 2A : 10W charging speed. Do yourself a favor and Buy a multivoltage Power Delivery Charger of 33 watts or more, this Will serves well now and in the Future. I purchased a 27W PD Charger at Walmart that feature six different charge range, works awesome with Lot of phones because of its compatibility.

Nope, not a red flag. This is a budget phone. Considering someone to buy this means your on a tight budget. Samsung's purpose is for you to save more money as much as you can. So they cut down that adapter/charger manufacturing cost from the total retail price. Reuse your old charger if possible, but if you no longer have it. Samsung does not prevent you from buying a new one. lol

If you aren't formatting it through your phone, that may be the problem. SD cards are sensitive to the device they're installed in.

With vessels this big, Samsung could bring back the classic buttons on the bottom

This phone is great for my 84yo dad.
The A14 5G is the same thickness as my current phone, the Motorola G30 so no issues there for me.

I just review phones dude. It's pros and cons relative to the phone...it's really not that deep. I thank God everyday he wakes me up and puts breath in my lungs but my job is as important as anyone else's and I'm grateful he's graced me with a way I can take care of my bills and family while enjoying it at the same time. We all understand there is more important things to worry about but I give all my worries to God and he takes care of me.
You' ve gotta be kidding, 720 p on A13 5G to 1080 x2408 FHD on A14 5G is not an upgrade for you ? also the display density is quite fair at 400 ppi and also the rest doesn' t really matter, plus the thickness ? I've seen iPhones and some Realme s series thicker like the recent iPhones and the C35, no issue with that. the wall charger is one thing but droppable as I do have a Galaxy A20s so will be using its charger and 15W is ok.

I just got it because it was free and my last phone- a Motorola's- battery burst and I took the opportunity to switch providers.
Anyway, the phone is fine. I have a ton of charging cubes laying around the house so charging is never an issue.
My only gripe- and it's frigging infuriating until I find a different way to do it-- is taking screenshots. VOL DOWN and POWER button combo is hideous. I take more shots of the notification screen because one of those buttons doubles as a notifications window, power button I think. I'm not as young and agile as I once was and trying to take a screenshot is maddening.
Anyway, other than that, it's a cheap phone but a decent one. You get what you pay for, as they say. I paid nothing, so I guess that's what I'll get?

Apparently you can go into settings and set it so that you have one of those moveable icons on the display which you can then use to take screenshots.

Well I just bought this phone yesterday with a new line bcuz I didn't have insurance on my A13 which I previously had. Fun fact: MY PHONE actually came with a charging cable that I thought didn't come with at all until I discovered it an hour ago before this comment. Yall might want to check the box for the charging cable. The a 13 most definitely came with the full charging pack but I'm not complaining. And you ARE right about the 2 not being so different from each other. It's kinda silly to me that you was expecting the phone to have 100(+) more GB 😂😂😂 The retail price would be so much higher if it actually did have that much. The 2 biggest apps I play is call of duty mobile and marvel contest of champions. Cod mobile uses far more storage than mcoc but it's really enough to download ALL my resources and still have plenty room on both devices. As of now I'm still tryna figure out how to get the game recording thing going that supposed to be in the navigation bar when you're on a game app to instantly take a sreenshot, record and do other stuff.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong in my settings or what but. When I'm texting by using my voice if it does something wrong and spelling and I want to use my keyboard to correct it I can't just get the keyboard to pull up I have to go to the wheel and then to the top left and then back down to my keyboard to get it to work.

The phone set up connection are not user friendly. The start up modes are confusing to follow.
As long as you have minimal apps on it and just use it for making calls and occasional internet use its okay for $200. Beyond that it's slow, it freezes up when texting, when using voice-to-text and when using the internet, especially on RUclips. Basically just use it to make phone calls, occasional internet use, the only field about three or four apps on it and you're okay

Just got this phone last week. My last phone was the J2 Pro so I was so amazed when I upgraded. I didn't even know that there were a lot of design thingies that would've been better. So yeah, I love this.
My only issue is that thay Messenger chat heads disappear whenever I open the Settings app. Maybe there is just a setting that I have yet to set up..

I paid $80 for this phone through Tracfone, thinking it would be an upgrade from my Samsung A13 5G. It's not. They got rid of the top front speaker and they have done away with the equalizer, which let you improve the tinny sound of that tiny speaker. If you have something you like, stay with that until something better becomes available.
I got this phone a couple of weeks ago. And i do not have a signal at all at my house. But, its not the phone it the service. Dont get T-mobile. I am very disappointed with their service.

Just got one ! Not my first choice but with a good plan. Been setting it up hours: 1) It charges too slow by lots !; 2) It has little storage or memory; 3) The camera is not as good as my last Samsung, in fact, I don't like the camera much at all; 4) Initally put off by the thickness but now ok with it in general. It seems sturdy and is easy to use.

Only had mine for a couple of days. Had to change as my iPhone is now too old. The only thing I don't like so far is that you can't change individual ringtones for your contacts. or at least I cant on mine.
You can. You have to save the number to the device and you can then assign a picture.. ringtone and customize the text chat

that charger block was $30.00! Also, it's a new type charger cord!! It's a c to c cord, both ends must be the same size. Color is dull also. Not happy,taking it back😢

This phone has a powerful SOC equivalent to a Snapdragon 720 it's only $79 on boost mobile that's all it's worth to me because after time it will go down to that price it's basically a celero 5G from boost both phones basically have the same specs it's not worth $200 in my opinion TCL have a phone identical specs Samsung cameras are little better and I think that screen is 1080p

If u have the A14 4G, then sure, but the A14 5G dude I have it, I can play games at high resolution, and it is good, RUclips doesn't even freeze and it loads web pages quickly top of that I have 8 games and a 128GB SD and storage hasn't been a problem

Nope, not a red flag. This is a budget phone. Considering someone to buy this means your on a tight budget. Samsung's purpose is for you to save more money as much as you can. So they cut down that adapter/charger manufacturing cost from the total retail price. Reuse your old charger if possible, but if you no longer have it. Samsung does not prevent you from buying a new one. lol
