I used to be the guy that had to have the latest Samsung Note phone. Now that I'm older, I only buy the A series! All I need now is something simple and cheap.
I have an iPhone 13 for work and have a flagship Android, got this phone recently and love it. Turned off animations in Developer mode, it flies.
I have enjoyed three Moto low-budget phones over the past six years. When Google Fi offered an A14 for essentially no cost, I thought, "Why not try it?" Compared to my 2021 moto G power, it is a fine upgrade, especially the 5G and NFC.

A headphone jack should never go away. Thanks for video.
A raw 3.5 headphone jack for a circuit board is less than $1, probably much cheaper for manufacturers. To this day I don't get the war Apple started on removing this feature.

I just bought this phone. I like it. It is faster and smoother than I thought it would be. It is better than my A32.

@Tammy Wheeler Oh OK. I think I made a good decision especially bc I got the A14 for 80 bucks. I was hoping it worked well being that it was on android 13
Got this unlocked for tracfone but not compatible with tracfone yet so I got the a53 instead for 219. I like it better.
I dunno about that screen size. If Samsung could do a 6.0-inch screen yet keep the refresh rate and 1080p resolution, I think they'd have a budget king.

Should i buy this or wait for a24 5g, and when is a24 5g being released
I currently have the a13 5g. It's been a year that I have it for so far. Do you think I should upgrade to the a14 5g or wait another year for the a15 5g? So Far the a13 5g has been alright. Sometimes it'll be laggy, but its performance is decent for the most part.
You can get it free if you switch carrier now. Its worth it imo, better software means better visuals for the camera and at least 3 years of update helps it stay running fast. Higher ppi (pixels per inch) gives you better display as well

The A14 has 2 major updates and security updates till 2027. For the Moto, well...

I just bought the a14. Had an a71 before this. Which they do not even make anymore lol I'm loving the a14, surprisingly. I did not think I would like it tbh. My a71 stopped working and I was forced to buy a new one. Being that this is the cheapest samsung in the lineup right now, my expectations were low. It has many cool features though and I feel very happy with my purchase!!

S21FE! It was released a bit later so its kind of like having a S22! we get same amount of updates!

I just bought my a14 5g phone should I use it till it's on 0% to charge it or what
I was told to let it get down to maybe 10% before charge in the beginning. Helps battery in long run supposedly.
No inbuilt screen recorder, makes it a no no for me
Google Fi offers it free after 24 after credits.

Yes, it doesn’t type what I type sometimes, I have to proof read every text I send because of weird letters it puts in place of what I actually type. I’m typing this on my iPad

Yes! I have this phone and it has a slow motion option. I tell you this is loaded with features he didn't even mention. For a budget phone, to me it feels high end.

The update for the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G comes with firmware version A146BXXU1AWA2 which brings along the January 2023 security patch that fixes approximately dozens of security vulnerabilities, including those in Samsung Knox and Secure Folder. Security updates for the next four years as well as Android updates until version 17. It comes built with McAfee too. Not too shabby.
