I believe there's a chance this is happening with my page. 99% of my followers are from 5+ years ago. I've been super consistent for about 1.5 months with no new reach or views.
If we create a new profile can it still be linked to the same phone? Can I just make a new IG account and share all the same stuff?

This is my plan after watching this video, please let me know if it's a good plan:
1. Make a new account
2. Post on both accounts (in a different post order with the same posts).
3. Check to see if i caught the algo. If the new acc works better than give up the old acc and only concentrate on the new one.

At this point the instagram algorithm is a joke…
These kind of hidden “trust scores” should be illegal. Any company that implements them should be redefined as a publisher and not a platform. Anyway why wouldn’t instagram tell its users how to best satisfy it unless they were using metrics the public would agree are unfair.
I feel like instagram should implement an 'account review'.

I started my account in 2016, I started photography in 2018 not really focusing on any stratergy. My reach is low maybe because not paying much attention to marketing. Will it work if my niche followers are more than my friends/family audience with correct strategy?
Do you guys believe that Instagram could "punish" you if they realize that you only use the app for posting? If you don't actually spend any time using the app, except for posting or programming post.

Helpful thoughts and advice as usual! Your audio has lots of plosives from the air on certain syllables bursting into your mic. I recommend getting a quality pop filter, it'll help 👍🏼
151 k fans account, losing fans since April 2022, dropped from 2-10k likes to 100-200, overnight, since reels update. Reels, photos or carousels - nothing works. My content is good (on my other account (which is sadly not used for my business) same post can get 2-40k likes even now on the business account 100-200. Algorithm just shadowbanned my business account, it is not classic shadowban, but it us just getting 1/10th of previous reach, 1,5 year, nothing works, account destroyed.

If you start a new account, isn't it still tied to your old account through your sign-up credentials? And if so, does Insta, link it to your original accounts metrics, etc? So ii don't want to start a new account and still get penalized because my original account has bad algorithm metrics!

Just use a new email address, so far we haven’t noticed any correlation to your old account
@@heyDominik wouldn't you need to go a bit further than an email to start with a completely clean slate? For example when people get blocked or banned, this extends way beyond the email they signed up with, e.g. IP addresses, WIFI, IMEIs, basically anything that was used by Meta to construct their identity.
I have tried new acount with new data even new phone and new IP, the posts getting 20 likes for months, before I was at 200-400 within weeks, it is just impossible to start over now.@@heyDominik

Is it better to have a public or private instagram account?
Because if it is public, everyone can see your posts already, so there is no incentive to follow. With private account they have to follow to see your posts.
But also with a private account nobody will find out about your instagram.
I also have a theory
Previously I got banned for being too active, now that I'm less active to avoid being restricted I believe IG is punishing me for not being as active anymore, so I'm caught in a loop I can't get out of..
And getting banned for being too active kinda annoyed me as well. So now I have three reasons for not wanting to be more active. Not wanting to be banned, because I got banned, and because my progression is going downhill the last years.
Very similar trend as the "brooks" account you were checking.. Some posts does okay, but very rarely. on a normal I'm getting 10-20% of the likes I got as a standard many years ago. and it has been dropping and dropping as time goes on. I got 20k followers and getting similar numbers on reels as her (I rarely do post reels though, hate it)

I have 79,000 followers and my reach has been fully diminished to what I had when i had 5,000 followers. Not entirely sure what to do going forward but im just gonna stay consistent and see if we i can get things activated again

What is your mentorship all about? I need help. I'm a very small business with a big purpose. My customers are on Instagram and the algorithm hates me. Im ready to shut down because the lack of reach to my own followers is tanking. I've tried all the hacks, I've been consistent. I honestly don't know where I've gone wrong. Starting over sounds damaging.
I am running my account since nearly 9 years, reach have been bad after 2020 and i am surprisingly not the only one in the car photography scene, who is facing these issues. It's been 4 years to my Instagram meme account and kya only 1220 followers. And views are 10-20 like are 3-5
How can I repost my old content? I don’t see a download button on my reels. Also on my new account would it be necessary to post like everyday? I can do it but I burn out after some months, maybe do like 2 - 3 reels per week and 2-3 posts
I have been struggling with this for years and at first my page was doing great and now I don’t show up in ANY hastag. Period. I think the algorithms have been changed to almost only favor influencers or posts that are popular like reels etc.... I don’t have a modern popular channel in the respect of “like and subscribe guys”.... lol I make electronica music with tapes and synths. The “low-trust” idea I think is somewhat real. I think I got flagged as a spammer one day when I disliked a ton of search feed suggestions etc it must have thought that was somewhat suspicious. I have never said anything controversial or had any posts with anything like that. It blows my mind why random pages are targeted with this.....

I replied to 5 comments on my own post and got action blocked. Then I tried again the next day, not realizing it hadn't been 24 hrs yet, and I got action blocked again. Now my reach is dead. Will it ever go back to normal or am I doomed?

I wonder if my reach is bad, because I know someone has only 50 followers more than me and doesn't post that special stuff but seems to have 150k reach over the past 30 days (I saw a screenshot) while my maximum reach was 35k (usually it is around 18k) - but my analytics says the engagement rate is actually good and I gain followers - sometimes faster, sometimes slower. I wonder if my reach is super low in comparison to other creators... Also my account is like a 100 years old and I turned it into a professional one 2 years ago......
What about if I want to market a different country?

Nope. Unfortunately this can take forever to get fixed. Sometimes it doesn’t even fix itself at all

@@heyDominik Not true if it's a particular brand, and you're Meta Verified... I'm 100% marked as a "spammer", and it fluctuates from letting me comment 1-5 times per day. I'm about 90% confident it's due to a particular DM conversation I had with a friend (we got ranting about politics; few curses involved, etc).
I'm verified, and have a website etc, so not just as easy as starting again; I may not even be able to get an acceptable handle!
Instagram has become such a mess, frankly.
