    Thank you for a very instructive video. I love your “behind the scenes” videos where you show us all the sweat that goes into keeping your equipment in running order. It was also a good thing to feature Micah helping you out. The more you see him, the more you can’t help but like him. He fits in perfectly with the rest of the crew and I love your efforts to draw him out. Also, your updating of the Fecon-Prinroth situation answered a few questions I had. The frosting on the cake here, so to speak, had to be all the dirt you found after you took it apart. For anybody who thinks this is all easy, just mulching and grading, welcome to reality. There’s just as much that goes on in back of the scenes as we see in front, and this is what makes your videos so entertaining.

    Very interesting, thanks for taking the time to show and talk about that. Just after watching your first run with the Prinoth, I liked the Fecon best of the two. The end result looked better, that coming from a lady’s point of view, lol. I really enjoy your content and always look forward to the next video. You and your crew are awesome👍🏻👏🏻

    I would bet the bearing you first took out that wasnt taking grease it part of the problem. I have sold those before to guys up here. That is what we do. Usually when i see them they are cut out with a torch. You getting them off in one piece says a lot about your maintanence . Nice job. Love watching your videos.

    Wow! What a process. Thanks for the great overview.
    Two questions for you John:
    1. Where do you have to bring it to have it balanced?
    2. What do you do with the worn out teeth?

    Do you find much difference in visibility between the top mounted motor design and a rear mounted motor design? Is there any value in the rotor being closer to the machine?

    Had a Prinoth, wasn’t crazy about the tooth design. Then you have to chase material shooting out underneath. Doesn’t have the service like shearex or cimaf. I bought a new shearex. Hands down I’ll take it over the Prinoth.

    Just a friendly correction, the cutter is driven by a hydraulic motor, not a hydraulic pump.
    Really like your videos. Cheers 😀😀😀

    I bet that's what's causing all the balancing and vibration issues is all that dirt build up plus that long section where the metal needs welding that has the split in it.
    You guys need to keep them machines cleaned and greased after every job. Buy a commercial grade power washer that uses propane tanks for hot water and clean your equipment properly especially all around the tracks.
    Just think of the weight of all that dirt being carried from site to site and the extra fuel it costs.
    It's kind of like cleaning the hull of your boat when you transfer it from one body of water to another as to not transfer zebra muscles to uninfected waters.
    Don't transfer dirt from site to site.

    The thing I noticed though is you have to run over the material less with the new head to get to the finished product.

    The chip size is like a chainsaw chain, small chain chip cuts slower less efficient then a properly sharpened cutting edge and knocked down rakers

    I am curious how the Prinoth does with planking. Denis Cimaf are notorious about creating planks. I was told that the Progressive style depth control rings on the Prinoth uses is much better on picking those planks up and processing them. Have you noticed this as well?

    One would have to wonder if the vibration maybe due to the build up of mud and debris centrifugally impacted inside the drum.

    Is there a reason why you prefer the ASV machine. And any opinion on the FAE heads. Thx for this video, loved it

    • @UpstateBrushControl
      @UpstateBrushControl  11 месяцев назад

      ASV has the best out the door skid steer for mulching, in my opinion. FAE makes a good head, when you go to buy one, they give you an extra set of bearings. Bearings only last 600-100 hours on an FAE.
      I have gotten 4,000+ on Fecon bearings.

  • @johnmattu7262
    @johnmattu7262 2 года назад +1

    Yeah, I'd say a new set of bearings and a good pressure washing and she might not wobble anymore🤣. May as well get Fecon to do a rebalance after all the work of pulling the rotor.👍🏼

    Just a personal preference is I don't like getting nothing for free. It usually ends up costing me more in the long run. Also what I own, no one can come ask for it back and leave me in a bind. It's so attempting when these companies throw this stuff around and people feed into it. End the long run they want something and if you don't jump through there hoops you are the one left scrambling to be able to keep working and moving forward. What's that old saying bite me once is your fault. Bite me twice it's my fault.
