Great video. Thanks for taking the time to explain the "Inside" of the business which makes watching the work videos more interesting.
Thank you for a very instructive video. I love your “behind the scenes” videos where you show us all the sweat that goes into keeping your equipment in running order. It was also a good thing to feature Micah helping you out. The more you see him, the more you can’t help but like him. He fits in perfectly with the rest of the crew and I love your efforts to draw him out. Also, your updating of the Fecon-Prinroth situation answered a few questions I had. The frosting on the cake here, so to speak, had to be all the dirt you found after you took it apart. For anybody who thinks this is all easy, just mulching and grading, welcome to reality. There’s just as much that goes on in back of the scenes as we see in front, and this is what makes your videos so entertaining.
Always enjoy reading your comments! Thanks for watching this one!
Very interesting, thanks for taking the time to show and talk about that. Just after watching your first run with the Prinoth, I liked the Fecon best of the two. The end result looked better, that coming from a lady’s point of view, lol. I really enjoy your content and always look forward to the next video. You and your crew are awesome👍🏻👏🏻
Very cool video! Thanks for sharing…Upstate Brush Control Crew rides again!!!
Great Video! Lots of real world wisdom. Looking forward to the rebuild and reassembly.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
This is another extremely interesting video Jon , a sobering reminder that repairs and maintenance take up an awful amount of time . Keep them coming .👍👍🇬🇧
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome Class John learned a lot.Think I'm going with Fecon.
Nice video Jon. I always enjoy seeing you guy working on the equipment in the shop.
Answered a bunch of questions I had! Thx for video.
Happy to help!
I love these videos! I love when the knowledge from your brain comes thru your mouth into my brain. Do more of these please!!! Pick a topic and talk about it. Start a Sunday series where you talk about stuff! I think that would be great!!
God is On your side GOD is with you & All your MEN!!!!
John, excellent explanation of the 2 head's and hopefully fecon can fix it and back to work 🤞 5 ⭐ video God bless y'all from Gaffney South Carolina viewer
ood that you're getting the mulching heads rebalanced by the manufacturer. Enjoyed the full video. 👍🏽🤠 05/13/24
Nice overall tutorial on pro’s and con’s of the two cutters,as long as your happy and content on overall performance that’s what count’s.good video 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Thanks!

One can really not do without an own workshop.
Well done gents!!
Cool video with great insight on how your partnership work. Congrats on the partnerships you have worked out. Hard work and Christian values pay dividends.
God Bless, Sam
I would bet the bearing you first took out that wasnt taking grease it part of the problem. I have sold those before to guys up here. That is what we do. Usually when i see them they are cut out with a torch. You getting them off in one piece says a lot about your maintanence . Nice job. Love watching your videos.
The Distinction from the Fecon Blackhawk and Prinoth 450s walk Mulcher in the Construction, the Price to Distinguish by the spare part very good to Explain. But my to be missing the Work Result in the Practice by equal Work to see. 👌Greeting 🇦🇹
Great video, I would agree the Prinoth definitely let more surfboard slip through that you have to go chase around versus our Cimaf
Wow! What a process. Thanks for the great overview.
Two questions for you John:
1. Where do you have to bring it to have it balanced?
2. What do you do with the worn out teeth?
G'day John. I suggest you invest in a "Bearing Puller" to make it easier removing the bearings on either end of the drum.
Great observations and information. Keep up the positive politics with the Feconers.
Finally able to see the inside of a drum.., thx for sharing that John. Id like to give the Prinoth M450 1600 (not 1900) a chance since it's on its way already 😂.
Super handy info, thank you.
Very informative! thank you!
These are some of my favorite videos. Btw, Micah's comments re: the Prinoth forcing material under/behind the ASV is
something I commented/noticed in the first video demonstration. Hope everything works out with both suppliers.
Thanks for the comment! We appreciate it!
Greetings from Poland ✋👍☺
Still would love to see y’all demo a cimaf 180d if you ever get the chance
Do you find much difference in visibility between the top mounted motor design and a rear mounted motor design? Is there any value in the rotor being closer to the machine?
Very interesting to watch
Thanks for the visit!
Good video brother and very informative
Interesting to what you find when you take something apart
Totally.
Great video learned a lot.
Glad you enjoyed it and it was helpful!
You are right about the out of balance reason
Had a Prinoth, wasn’t crazy about the tooth design. Then you have to chase material shooting out underneath. Doesn’t have the service like shearex or cimaf. I bought a new shearex. Hands down I’ll take it over the Prinoth.
Hi John,
Just a friendly correction, the cutter is driven by a hydraulic motor, not a hydraulic pump.
Really like your videos. Cheers 😀😀😀
Thanks for the info!
I bet that's what's causing all the balancing and vibration issues is all that dirt build up plus that long section where the metal needs welding that has the split in it.
You guys need to keep them machines cleaned and greased after every job. Buy a commercial grade power washer that uses propane tanks for hot water and clean your equipment properly especially all around the tracks.
Just think of the weight of all that dirt being carried from site to site and the extra fuel it costs.
It's kind of like cleaning the hull of your boat when you transfer it from one body of water to another as to not transfer zebra muscles to uninfected waters.
Don't transfer dirt from site to site.
The thing I noticed though is you have to run over the material less with the new head to get to the finished product.
Interesting, great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
How many cutting heads are needed I guess if you are doing a big job come in handy especially if you have multiple machines you do great work
The chip size is like a chainsaw chain, small chain chip cuts slower less efficient then a properly sharpened cutting edge and knocked down rakers
I am curious how the Prinoth does with planking. Denis Cimaf are notorious about creating planks. I was told that the Progressive style depth control rings on the Prinoth uses is much better on picking those planks up and processing them. Have you noticed this as well?
Nice job on the video
One would have to wonder if the vibration maybe due to the build up of mud and debris centrifugally impacted inside the drum.
Is there a reason why you prefer the ASV machine. And any opinion on the FAE heads. Thx for this video, loved it
ASV has the best out the door skid steer for mulching, in my opinion. FAE makes a good head, when you go to buy one, they give you an extra set of bearings. Bearings only last 600-100 hours on an FAE.
I have gotten 4,000+ on Fecon bearings.
Yeah, I'd say a new set of bearings and a good pressure washing and she might not wobble anymore🤣. May as well get Fecon to do a rebalance after all the work of pulling the rotor.👍🏼
Fingers crossed!
Just a personal preference is I don't like getting nothing for free. It usually ends up costing me more in the long run. Also what I own, no one can come ask for it back and leave me in a bind. It's so attempting when these companies throw this stuff around and people feed into it. End the long run they want something and if you don't jump through there hoops you are the one left scrambling to be able to keep working and moving forward. What's that old saying bite me once is your fault. Bite me twice it's my fault.
That’s a lot of up keep to having those kind of Equipment, but its got to be nice video.
So just out of curiosity, the person who’s skid steer burnt up, do you know if it was a Kubota skid steer? Possibly a 95. 🤔
Not sure
What’s your opinion on denis cimaf ? I’m in Texas , new to the mulching business only been doing it for a year now I run a denis cimaf head that’s all I’ve ran but I think there customer service is the best I’ve never had a company be so helpful before . I watch alot of your videos I’ve learned alot from you and would like your opinion .
Jon, where’s all the videos? Hadn’t seen you guys lately.
We're just taking a little breather. We're still around!
Very informative, thought teeth wld last longer.
It all depends on the material you are cutting.
Very Kool The belt looks like it’s from a Harley Why don’t you power wash it
make this job by yourself make to save money and time in this way you have the head stop for few hours instead days for taken to maintenance
Getting the 135?
Not yet.
There is why that head won't balance is all that packed mud in the non belt side..bet it'll balance now..
Prinoth has 36 knives and 4 carbides
Eeeek ! A manhole cover ? I hope that does’nt rear it’s ugly head again. Well, you’ll getter back together. Go luck. Be well.
Where is Josh ?
Loftness carbide cant keep new teeth on the fecon long!!
