    I love the fact you take your son to work with you. I used to go with my dad to work everyday before starting school. He would leave work, pick me up from school and take me back with him to the jobsite. After graduating I began working with him to take over the business. I was cutting compound miters, painting, swinging a hammer, etc. by the time I was eight years old. Good times. God bless you sir.

    8 years old pretty good feel with the hoe. Your stick control and smooth leveling with the forestry mulcher is impressive. I'm 61 and I still get a big smile on my face remembering my first time with our skidsteer clearing brush & rocks for our 5 acre camp & pond in the Northern Adirondacks of New York when I was 12. I also dug a hole with the auger for our electric pole. My Dad was smiling just like you until I popped a track off. He took our mini excavator and quickly popped the track back on it was a great learning experience. Very hard work and rough on your body.

    Excellent video. Thanks to your narration, explanations and commentary, it not only went quickly, but you left me wanting more. I loved your diplomacy in the beginning as you were explaining the job at hand. Basically, the customer thought he’d save some money hiring a cheaper guy. But the results told him the truth of that old adage, you get what you pay for. He realized that if he wanted it done right he had no choice but to bring you in. I love your attitude. You know it was a learning experience for him and a further boost to your already sterling reputation in that if he wanted it done and done well, he had to bring you in. I loved how you explained every step as you went along; you really held my interest. Too many videos these days just show the job being done, and that becomes boring real fast. So kudos to you. Further kudos are due for the way you introduced Wyatt not only to us viewers, but to the business. He impressed me as a really bright young man who idolizes Dad and wants to be like him. You showed all the right touches in not being afraid to let him run the machine while keeping an eye out for his safety and very gently laying down the rules. I love the way you encouraged him and kept your patience while he learned. He is going to be one heckuva helper because you are one heckuva dad, channeling his enthusiasm instead of helicoptering him. And kudos to Willie. A really great employee and one you can trust not only to do the job right, but also not to wreck the equipment. Gems like him are hard to find, yet you found two good ones. Hats off to you. Be well and may you prosper with God’s help and guidance.

  • @markpashia7067
    @markpashia7067 4 года назад

    Seems like it would be a good idea to have him hand cut and lay over by leaving a tall stump so you can see from the operator seat if he wants to use that as a way to select what is left behind. That way you can avoid ruining a track and move a lot faster with sharper blades. I have done that before for clearing with dozer. Leave the stumps three foot tall to give better leverage on the stumps to push over. Just a thought. Maybe all wrong. Also it often does and really should cost more to fix what others screw up. Usually it is extra work going in after someone who does not know what they are doing makes a mess and the extra cost might make the customer think twice about trying to undercut you. Just another thing to think about.

    Interesting about the tea company. So are they going to grow it there? If so, whos gonna harvest, and can they make a profit paying 10 an hr having pickers pick the leaves? Its very labor intensive, and Many people will work for peanuts where most tea is grown. This oughta be interesting!

      Most want it gone as firewood is rarely used down this way. Some goes for pulp and the nicer wood, to the saw mill. I moved here from PA where in some winters, we would burn up 4 to 6 cords a winter and that was all oak. Down here, we may get 2 or 3 days max where it wont get above freezing. Up in PA, 30 to 45 day stretches of sub freezing temps were common. This year we had no snow stick, even to the grass or in our case, the sea oats.
