  • In this video I show step by step how to build a garden gate for a fence. This style of gate is a board on board gate that is built using pressure treated timber. This wooden garden gate is strong and ideal for adding to a fence line or fitting between a house and a garage for example. This style of gate provides full privacy and security.
This is just one style of garden gate that I build within by business #bacrenfencing but hopefully it gives an insight into the process of how to build a garden gate for a fence. Enjoy !

Hi great video! I was a little disappointed because I thought that the gate door was going to be installed between 2 stucco walls without fence (according to your thumb nail pic). I really need info on attach post to stucco walls and mounting the gate door between the 2 walls. Maybe you have a video like That? Would like to hear your feedback, thanks!!

Thanks Rob, yes I have used the gatemate long throw locks quite a lot. Here is a link to a job that I done with the gatemate lock fitted to a T&G gate I made. facebook.com/Bacrenfencing/photos/pcb.459964252297250/494465498847125/
If you scroll through the photos on my FB post, you will see the gate. They are very high quality and easy to fit. Highly recommended mate !

Hi Barry, Just watched a couple of your videos re attaching a timber post to a house wall using Timco bolts. Excellent!👍Please could you advise me on whether to use 4" x 4" wooden fence posts, or concrete posts? I am going to erect a six panel fence. Thanks

Thanks David, It really depends on your preference. Concrete posts obviously last longer but personally, I don't like the look of them. I usually use wooden posts and as long as they are treated and installed correctly, they will last a good 15-20 years. Hope this helps !
