Woah woah, I love this watch! Russell, once again informing me on watches THAT I REALLY SHOULD KNOW ABOUT! Man, I'd love to see one of these in person. Such an interesting dial, great case size, and of course 20mm lug spacing.... GET IN!
First of all thank you for the kind words my friend! The whole idea of my channel was to try and make the watch world more inclusive by reviewing watches from £10 to £50k! Not sure anyone would lend me a watch above that price point hahaha!
And yes, I got it too. Grabbed the last one in stock btw. The links are not too annoying to adjust, the dial texture IRL looks just epic (but subtle enough to not get in the way of reading the time), and overall it feels very comfortable even on the stock bracelet. And the 2719 module actually is Miyota 2S60. Can't go wrong with this movement.
What a show! You’ve really stepped up the visuals MWC! The B roll is next level 👏👏👏👏 I’m a huge fan of the Rolex Explorer and this looks like a great ultra budget alternative. Loads to like with this Casio and that subtle dial texture is really nice 😍 Plus it’s Mrs MWC approved too! A definite winner!
Thanks for the observations Gareth! I really appreciate that. This show is full of positives for me and the biggest one being this awesome Casio find! And like you said, it also has the Mrs MWC approval! Thanks for watching as always!
Hi, can I fit a jubilee bracelet on this casio? Also I have the same wrist size as you and I am wondering if Islander manhasset 36mm or smiths everest 36mm will look too small compared to the casio? Your opinion will be very helpful. Thanks
Got to love Casio! I have 2 Casio analogs and this would fit right in to my collection as I adore the brand and style. Doesn't remind me of an Explorer though. The numerals might have a passing resemblance, but case design and dial are doing very much their own thing. And yeah, Casio bracelets are jingly, jangly but also very comfortable in my experience.

This is by far the most enjoyable RUclips channel about watches. Well done! And yes, I did buy the Casio EF-121D for 55 pounds recently based on this review. This watch is indeed an outstanding bargain. I enjoy it very much.
Beeing also a 6.5 inch wrister this is a perfect everyday-do-it-all watch for me. Especially like that dial. And I have sooo many straps just waiting for it!
I've never been a fan of the Casio DW 290 but the one in the picture featured in the Casio corner segment was fantastic. The Casio featured in this video as a budget Rolex explorer alternative looks amazing and I will certainly add this particular model to my collection.
That textured dial is a nice touch. I'm not sure I'm in the market for a quartz watch but who knows? I was looking for Explorer homages and this one ticks many of the boxes as super affordable. The Ali-Express ones have a printed dial, but a smooth second sweep.
Yes it look a great watch! This one reminds me even more of the Explorer: Casio Men's Analogue Quartz Watch with Stainless Steel Bracelet MTP-1259PD-1A
Found this channel in the last month and love it 👏 after watching this I purchased one and also got a Coloreb Venezia 👍⌚ - I've been completely influenced 😂
Thanks for the wonderful recommendation MWC..... I quickly ordered one of these little beauties after seeing you vid. I already have mine on a beautiful classic tricolor BOND Nato and she looks great! A bit on the small side for my 8" wrist but still looks very - very good... Thanks again MWC - I am becoming a real fan!
My pick would be the Traska Summiteer, as the best alternative to an Explorer I on a budget. It's 38mm so it is somewhat in the middle of what Rolex ever made. A friend of mine has one, the coating on it prevents scratches, it still looks brand new after a year of daily wear.
Just discovered this watch on Amazon and came to find a review, thanks for covering it. It reminds me of a Longines Conquest as well as an Explorer, very cool little watch. If I had to nitpick about one minor thing though it's that I find Casio watches with the '10YEAR BATTERY' printed on the dial a little bit vulgar. I mean if the battery lasts 10 years then awesome but I don't really want to have it emblazoned on the face of the watch.
Fun review! I have the Rolex Explorer (39mm with full lume).it is one of two ‘luxury’ watches that I own. I bought a Borealis ‘homage w/a twist’ and it is awesome!
I own a a good few Casio's but this one didn't rock my boat on the bracelet until I saw it on the Collereb & Harveston straps that really enhanced its visual appeal to me - yep the right at strap makes the difference.
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR - I reckon i am nuts - I own 60+ watches and probably own over 200 straps/bracelets and I stopped counting them . I am forever swapping out straps and checking to see what strap looks best on watch .TBH i find it relaxing - yep I'm sad and beyond help ;)
I just found your channel a few weeks ago and I'm finally getting around to checking out more of your videos. I love your take and style on this, it's sort of like Top Gear (the OG) but for watches. As for the Casio, I think your dead on, definitely similar than the Explorer but far more attainable for folks who just can't afford one. Thanks for the entertainment and the obviously hard work and dedication you have put into the channel. Have a great day. -David
Very nice dial on a Casio, but the case design gives me mall watch feelings. I think its a great first watch for anybody, is my general opinion on this one.
Hi Russell, I have one but in white dial, blue seconds hand. It is pretty old model. I've got mine in 2005 when I was in the US for 18$ from Walmart. I've had to change the battery in 2018, so well over 10 years. I'll try to share photos on watch crunch. Cheers mate 👍

Hi, mad collector.
What about the EF 125D? It has a carbon fiber dial and the current logo of Edifice. Indicators are similar to Explorer.

I’ve heard it has sold out too now?!?! Must be the MWC effect kicking in lol 😆
Although I did find a different edifice for £52 that has a bit of an aqua Terra look
Ha ha love how buzzing you are about this one. Always good to find a Casio treasure. Cack-xplorer needs some work as a name though ….
I should have pronounced it Cexplorer 🤦🏻♂️🤣
Lovely little watch! Great design and well made. Would definitely go with a nice strap on it! Just joined Watchcrunch, I noticed with a wry smile when choosing favourite watch brands for your profile that Filipo Loreti, Valuchi and MVMT were on there. I'll be interested in seeing the posts and comments in there !
Thanks for watching Brian! It is a cracking little watch! Awesome that you’ve joined Watch Crunch! And yes they are on there, it is inclusive after all! 😉
Did you hear about the watchmaker
who is half Spanish and half Irish?
His name is Juan O'Clock.
Hahahahaha your in the club my friend!;)
I really do like the Edifice line. This is a very handsome model as well. I mean, if your Missus likes it, you know you've done well . 😁 Mr P's gonna need a bit more work mind. 🤣
looks really nice 👍🏼
It is! 😄👍🏼
I like it!
If this was a solar and sapphire even for more money it would be incredible.
Totally agree Christian, thanks for watching!
Outdid yourself as Mr Pagani in this ep!
