Thank you M'am.. just got a 6 quart model myself.. in addition to learning the controls.. I'm also learning about what cuts of meat require what cooking times. I made the mistake of getting a bottom round roast instead of a chuck roast. And found out the cooking time has to be much longer for the round roast to be tender. Would you please do a recipe for a whole small chicken..? Thank you for being out there and doing what you do! 😊

Hi. I have this same cooker, as it is older cooker now and I cant find the book to mine . I was wondering if you have yours and would share or direct me to somewhere I can purchase a new book if it tells where to search in the book. Any help would be appreciated. I remember it saying something about canning using it and this is why I am wanting the book.

I just bought one today from Rite Aid and they had it for half price.. after taxes it was only $52.65 and the sale ends on the 20th here.. but usually when one store does it, they all do it.. Lol.. I've been wanting to buy that since they put it in there, and I've been waiting for it to go on sale.. I hope I can get used to the preset buttons because I've always used the old school ones with the rubber gasket and the weight on top..

I cook (at least) 3 out of 5 times in my pressure cooker. It's so much faster, and easier clean-up. I went on Amazon and got a couple of inexpensive cook books for the electric pressure cookers. I've made a lot of really interesting, and delicious meals using the 'dump it in and go do something fun' method of getting supper on the table.

Nikki, I contribute you with telling me all about how easy a pressure cooker is to use and thank you so much for it. If you hadn't let me know I would still think they were scary and not be using one. You need to tell me some of those recipes. Lol. I will sure make them. I've been checking my emails more cause we are trying not to use the internet so much and since we've cut down I can check my emails. Do you ever cook ground chuck or ground beef in your pressure cooker? Big hugs and have a great day!!!

Tara, I just checked and my receipt is on my Walmart Savings catcher app so I have it lol. You had me scared for a minute. Thank goodness for the Savings catcher app!! I do love my pressure cooker. It is just so easy to use. I wish I could get it out there to everyone how easy it is to use. I was always scared of them until my RUclips friend Nikki told me about them. Now I use it so much!! Have a great day and thanks for commenting.

4th one? I used to love the Food Saver line at Walmart but they too would go out every year so I just spent a couple hundred for a better make and 5 years and still going. I wonder if the Instant Pot would be better?

THANKS GRANMA ! THE CREATORS OF THIS COOKER SHOULD CREATE A VIDEO ON HOW TO OPERATE THIS SPECIFIC UNIT FOR DIFFERENT ITEMS ! INSTRUCTIONS WITH UNIT ARE CONFUSING AND DON'T SPECIFY WHEN TO OR WHEN NOT TO USE CERTAIN COOKING BUTTONS FOR SPECIFIC ITEMS . OR ALL ITEMS NEED CERTAIN AMOUNT OF LIQUID ? WHAT ARE PROCEDURES FOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF TENDERNESS?

Suggest you add all your extra sauces and spices into a nice bowl first - stir it all up - and then add it at the end, so that it's not so difficult to stir once the roast is in there. Just a suggestion.

I have read many people's comments and want to urge you to come over and join FaceBook groups in how to use an electric pressure cooker and yes, one of our groups has this particular model.

OK,,, WHY ISNT PEOPLE ON HERE GIVING FULL INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO USE THIS THING!!!!!
I already could figure out how many minutes u are needing to cook, but I would love it if a intelligent person could give step by step instructions...YOU DIDNT SHOW nothing on PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT.
Oh well I will keep looking

Shona Magouyrk Right! It didn't come with complete instructions and nothing anywhere and how to adjust the pressure and I can't get mine to go above 30 minutes.

    • @amw2hoop

Same here, I used the pressure adjust button and exploded and scorched my pinto beans. The cook time button will give you up to 50 mins in time, but it won't start from that button. I've had mine for over a yr and I'll just reset the time for larger cuts of meat. I hope someone does a descriptive vid on pressure adjusting.
