I just watched 2 pillow finishing tutorials by you and I thank you. I have 6 projects for my Christmas doughbowl and I'm getting ready for a couple of finishing days. You are so informative and I appreciate this type of flosstubes very much. They are like taking a course without leaving the house, and they are FREE!!
I love the smaller designs in the typeface series. 5x5 or 6x6 are great sizes - as you were talking through that segment I was thinking about school picture packages where you have 1 large, 2 medium, and 4 smalls - I like variety so that would appeal to me (something to frame, something to stand, something to dough bowl, and something to hang on the tree). For the future, I'm over things with the month embedded into them, it's fine if it is in a place I could leave off without altering the design.
Absolutely adorable. I love this method. It is a challenge for me to cut a slit in the back since I always made pillows the old-fashioned way. This will be great on all the patriotic cross-stitch pillows for Red, White andJune. 😍❤️🧵🪡🇺🇸
Super cute! I love the idea of putting the Star pattern felt piece on the back to cover the opening. You could also adhere the felt to iron-on interfacing prior to cutting and just iron it on the back of the pillow.
Wow! Love those pieces, so you know I went over and purchased the downloadable version (your evil plan worked to get me to buy those cute patterns 😂) great tutorial
I don’t remember seeing that Typeface pattern. How cute! Now I need to order it. I would leave an opening on the bottom to stuff and then use a whip stitch to close rather than cutting into the fabric on the back. Very cute finish!
I think these pillows are adorable and I’m not even American!! You have the cutest patterns!! Question - would it make sense to use heat and bond to attach the stars? You could trace the stars on the heat and bond and then adhere it to the felt. Then you don’t need to worry about getting pen on the felt. Thanks for another wonderful tutorial!!
Hello Julie! We have the supplies linked in the description box underneath the title. Here is a link to the pattern: (Paper): bit.ly/45bvU2x (PDF): bit.ly/43odV7k
Hello Sue! If you type patriotic pillows on our site they will show up and are able to be added to your cart. If you are still having issues try clearing your cache.
Hello SmittenKitten! It can be difficult at first but as long as you have enough light you can do it. We also recommend putting a white piece of paper on your lap so you can see the holes better.
Hello Robyn! We have links to all the supplies used in the description box underneath the title. Here is a link to the FREE Triple Star Template PDF: bit.ly/3Mplu6E
They are very cute?!! I have tried the link that was left and it keeps telling me on the fat quarter shop web page it can’t find the page I am looking for..tried it several times and keeps doing the same..I even tried clicking on the link that was left for another person and it happened again..

Very cool thanks, Kimberly

Oh my Goodness 😂 I Absolutely Love the Uncle Sam design. Thanks So Much Kimberly for the video tutorial 😊
Kimberly, you make it look very do-able for someone like me who doesn’t sew. I’m going to give it a go. Thanks!
Thanks for this idea and all the detail. ⚘️
Thanks so much FQS❤
Thank you Kimberly for this wonderful tutorial, so beautiful on all three pillows!!! 💚❤️🤍💙💚
Pellon also makes sf101 in black for your stitches done on black. I also put sf101 on the backing of the pillow to stabilize it.

I don’t remember seeing that Typeface pattern. How cute! Now I need to order it. I would leave an opening on the bottom to stuff and then use a whip stitch to close rather than cutting into the fabric on the back. Very cute finish!
This looks like a really hard work 😲 However, the result is absolutely wonderful ❤ These pillows are so cute 😍

Hello DreamyButtercup! Yes, you could use heat and bond to attach the stars.
I would love to do pillows however I don’t have a sewing machine. But love these. I don’t know if it is something I could do by hand or not.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I feel better about applying pompoms now. You’re the BEST!!! ❤
Beautiful.
Beautiful!
GREAT video & technique. Did you put interfacing on the checked backing fabric? Thank you.
Hello kckoehler1766! No, we did not put interfacing on the backing fabric.
Love these❤
Where can I find the pattern? I’m collecting the Typeface series. I don’t see it on FQS website. Thanks!

@@FatQuarterShopFlossTube. The link only works via this video. I have items in cart but the search doesn’t work for me to add to my cart.

I'm scared to cross stitch on dark fabric... Is it difficult?
Hello SmittenKitten! It can be difficult at first but as long as you have enough light you can do it. We also recommend putting a white piece of paper on your lap so you can see the holes better.
@@FatQuarterShopFlossTube Thank you for the great tips!
I went to fat quarter shop and couldn’t find the triple star template. Where is it thank you

Hello Cforsee675! You may need to clear your cache.
I can’t figure out why you’re cutting the back instead of stuffing at the seam.
Hello Lisa! You can stuff at the seam if you'd like.

Perfect instructions, huge thank you
