My ric rac was 7/16 instead of 1/2 inch but otherwise I did exactly as you instructed. This will definitely be my go to way of finishing future pillows. Thank you again.

    Such a great tip to draw the line and sew in the rick rack! I like that look, as I have just hand stitched it flat around the pillow. I also like the way you closed the back. I just cut a small slit, sew it together and cover with a piece of wool, usually cut into a heart or matching the shape of something in the stitched design. Thank you for your tutorial.

Is this process beginner friendly? I have lots of smalls that I would love to make pillows with, but the thought of hand stitching sounds endless and messy.

  • @sadiejosiemom

    Great tips! A couple of questions - I recently unearthed a stitchery perfect for my sewing room. I want to mount and frame it. I planned to use that sticky board and make it the size of the frame instead of doing all the tightening, etc. but now wonder if I should interface it first. And I have a beloved pillow with a huge teddy stitched on it (I think it's linen) in patriot colors but the stitch fabric has pulled away from the cotton fabric because it was used - not just admired by 4 boys! I think I'll take it apart and try to realign the stitch fabric then iron interfacing on it (it was stitched ages ago before this technique was used). Do you think this is the best method or could you think of a better way? Thanks for all your videos - I really enjoy them!

    • @TigerLilyDesigns
      @TigerLilyDesigns  Год назад +1

      I don’t think you need to interface a framed piece as that’s not going to need to hold up to four boys loving hands. It should be pretty safe on the shelf or on the wall. I definitely would try to salvage in her face the pillow could get tricky though. Best of luck.
