1982 I opened the mall as a Manager of The Soup and Salad Buffet in the Food Court.From day one...The food court was about 95% full of different places but everyone lost money from day one.The rent was to high. The extra charges from Kossman was never projected and the crowd just never showed up. USAIR helped the lunch business but nothing ever gave people a reason to visit the mall.
I live in the North Hills and I remember going there and thinking this place is a ghost town .I can't believe Giant Eagle 🦅 is still there.What are the plans for the property I heard a nature park with walking trails with a Giant Eagle in the middle of it ? That store looks like 1980's stood still
