This mall was my stomping ground growing up. And it's interesting to see photos of the mall before renovation. Westmoreland mall is one of the few (in my opinion at least) where the renovation is better than the original

This was my childhood mall. I haven't been to it in over 10 years but seeing this video it feels like it was just yesterday. I loved hanging out there with my friends

Watched the video and oh my took me back to when I was a little girl and a mother too. The stores we all remember that are now just a memory and the holidays shopping all day and going to either Denny's or the olive garden and I'm sure there were other places oh yeah Ruby Tuesday and another one or two 😉 just really good memories thanks ☮️

The 90's were the best. Always remember the mall trips with mom. Sometimes stopping at the Burger King at the bottom of the hill, right off of rt.30.
    Christ...to be young again.

Hopefully it will survive Sears, Macy's and J.C Penny all in trouble. It might suffer the same fate as Greengate

Did the mall originally have skylights?
it looks so dark in the older photos. Still one of my favorite malls in the area.

We were always at the malls on the weekends when we were teenagers. Especially Westmoreland Mall. My friend was busted in the head in 1993 by a gang member up there. In the early 90s these kids thought they was bloods n crips so they went up there to cause trouble. They would harass even the elderly too. The mall management and owners put a stop to it after my buddy got a nice settlement out of it. Security wasn't doing anything to stop it at the time. I think they were afraid as well.

On the internet because parents are too occupied with their own personal lives to make them go out and socialise. People need to pull their kids away from these gadgets and drop them off at the mall for some old fashioned interaction.

Why is it that all these things need destroyed, like Greengate Mall. Soon, Westmoreland Mall will be destroyed too. I guess it's because of online shopping got so popular. We have gotten so lazy.
