- Abandoned HHGregg Ross Township, Pa. This store closed in late 2016 or early 2017. In April, the company announced that all stores would be closing and the company would be going out of business. This location is one of the cleanest abandoned locations I've filmed yet.
I used to install appliances for HH Gregg in North Carolina. I also worked to help set up the appliance dept displays and the TV section. They opened a lot of stores in a very short period of time and were doing well for a while and then I believe that they just got too big too quick and that hurt them. Then around 2016 they started shutting down stores and by 2017 they were gone. Kind of sad, they had nice stores and nice people working for them.
Our Circuit City became HHGreg. That closed and Best Buy (which was at another location) moved in. Now the old Best Buy building (which is only about 10 years old) has been abandoned for about a year.
You can hear the motion alarm going off inside... crazy! The company went completely belly up in April with all stores closed by the end of May.
Curtis Munsey You know it's funny. I could not hear the alarm going off when I was walking around and filming but as soon as I started editing this video I could hear it in the background. Weird but awesome.
I'm suprised Noone came to turn them off like wouldn't the alarm of made the police come out?
Its coming back to life
Kirby7601 What? The building? That would be cool if it does. The company is completely gone, though.
WallieB26 look on their website. They are reopening with new ownership
If you think they changing names, they are still keeping the hhgregg name
Kirby7601 No kidding. I did not know that. I heard they were completely done. That'll be awesome to see them come back.
I hear the alarm system. I hear the alarm system! I hear the alarm system!
Back in the Day Jo Anne Fabrics was Children’s Palace Toy Store and before they built this building there was a water slide on this piece of property back in late 1980’s 3 stories high, lounge chairs sitting on indoor outdoor green carpet .....Pepsi machine 15.00 all day to ride the slide I think 😕 There was a Taste Freeze with mini golf where North Hills Toyota dealer is now “I used to Cruze show off your car bump your music 🔊🔊 meet friends and hang out there in my youth” And there was a landscape nursery between there and the Denny’s Good Times 😁
It was office depot before . Value City Furniture was where jo ann fabrics was. You need to do one on north hills village. I work at kuhns.
I surprised to see one of these stores abandoned, they do fairly well on the east side of PA. but like you said bad location probably was the reason
journey_with _jay It had to have been. You literally cannot see it from McKnight Road (US 19) until you're past the shopping center entrance. Also, there is a median on McKnight so you have to go quite a bit of distance before you can do a u-turn. And on the other side of the highway, you can't see the store at all.
journey_with _jay It amazes me how long Value City was there because of the location. That store was there before I was born and only closed around 2005 or so.
+WallieB26 yeah that's a pain
They were also right next to a Best Buy
the front doors are bolted together so this place will most likely get torn down
Rt. 228 store in Cranberry Township closed and was used as a Spirit Halloween last year. Not sure what will happen to it now.
Christmas in July and hhgregg was made in 1942
Very HHGreggy
That looks nice for a remodeled store unless it was torn down and rebuilt.
D Macks the facade has been taken down and the Store is being remodeled to become a Bob's Furniture Outlet.
This is my first wallieb26 video I ever watched good times wallie love your videos
Ah. 🥺
The HH Greg filed for bankruptcy in 3 - 6 - 17 also they closed all 88 stores in 4- 7 - 17.
Had one in Florence Kentucky that left in 2016 it had been there either 1996 or 1997.
Deep down...I was hoping HHGregg would become Circuit City 2.0.
Yeah.....Didn't happen. Store was underwhelming compared to BestBuy.
Yeah, I was a bit disappointed with what they had inside compared to Best Buy, etc. I miss Circuit City. My family and I would always go there first for anything. They're music selection was great too. Always found the CD I was looking for.
This kinda reminds me of the Kmart Mr.Bluelight commercials.
Right next to this place I saw a Ross dress for less the used to be a Circuit City!
Enjoyed.. Thanks.I think our HH Gregg in Atlanta area is still open...or maybe not..
That would have been cool if you crawled through the compactor and got inside the store
David in Suspenders I honestly did think about it. But I didn't know if that camera was functioning or not. Also, keep in mind this store is literally under a minute away from the police station. Lol. I may go back and check it out. It was pretty filthy inside that garbage compactor though.
That ross dress for less next to Johan was a circuit city
I hope this becomes a McDonald's with 2 stories and 6 ordering stations
PANASONIC BLU-RAY $99
HHHHHHHHGREGG
32 INCH LCD TV $299
LG 42 INCH HDTV $489
CHRISTMAS IN JUULLLYYYYY!!!!
HHHHH, HHHGREGG!!!
When this happens, it will be the largest McDonald's in Ross Township!
We in the U.K., had a similar set up company like your HH Gregg. The company called Comet, went bust in 2010.
Oh, I remember that store, ours got replaced by, umm... It was either a Curry's or Nike Factory Store.
Curry’s still in business, with PC World, under Dixons group in U.K.
I love this video
Sounds like an fire alarm somewhere
This is so sad. Alexa, play Despacito.
There seems to be alot of Abandoned places in your state. I wonder why?
Tammy Goulet I wish I knew. I do go all around the Pittsburgh area as well as Erie. Planning going out to Youngstown, Ohio, Canton, Ohio, Weirton, WV, Steubenville, Ohio, Greensburg, Pa, etc.
I think there was one at St Clairsville mall that was short lived.
CHRISTMAS IN JULY
I've seen your videos, I'm wondering , where are all the jobs in your town?...I mean where do people work their?...
Can you record the abandoned Rods dress for lesss/Circuit City in this same complex
Ross
Am i hearing right sounds like an alarm going off inside?
They turned the H.h. gregg here in my town into an Ollies opens in a few days the 22nd
Bob’s Discount Furniture is taking over this location as of October 2017 remodeling now
How did it go out of business and how many years
I think they closed all their stores.
Stephen Hinkle They did. The company completely went out or business in April with whatever stores they had left closing in May.
I wonder what that 'return shopping carts' was from??
Man In Magenta Wig don’t know that hhgregg missed the sale guy mascot as when it went out of business
at the beginning of the video you can see the vacant circuit city
How many years in business
update it's now Bob's Discount Furniture
I been there when it was still opened
Have you ever been as bunch of buildings are
That store was awful. It seemed like a weak Best Buy knock-off.
Man In Magenta Wig I never shopped at HHGregg so I don't have an opinion but I believe ya. I mean, they did go out or business. Lol
I’m surprised you didn’t get hit with a ratio there, considering the fact that half of the people who like the place now are people who like the stupid meme.
Cool
prob with stores they build them like gyms, with gym lights = no appealing to shop at
There is a abandoned car quest
I see Ross Dress For Less Former Circuit City
I was legit there today
In Cary
CHRISTMAS IN JULY
