Yeah man, it sucks. I lost my dad in 2017. The one "good" thing (if that's the right word) is that he was healthy and happy (as far as I know) up until the end and living and active life. My old man was afflicted with Parkinson and it took away everything. The last 8-10 years of his life was hell. But I know it's still rough regardless. I loved your dad's playing. He left his mark which is tough to do in any field but especially music.
Sean, while my father was stationed in Tokyo, Japan from 68 to 73 I had the opportunity to see The Ventures live as they toured there often. Your dad along with Nokie have been my favorite guitarists. I will always remember their live performances in Japan. All of those who have passed Rest In Peace. Ventures Forever !
