Man your mod is great i've put a rounded off piece of cork inside and it s great just the right stiffness and the end for more control on trail braking..thank you !
That's neat, I think I will try that but with a 3D printed part in place of the dowel. That might allow me to tune how stiff I want it to be, especially with flexible filament.
heya, would you mind sending me the stl file? I have a 3d printer as well. I don’t mind paying you a couple bucks! reply to this and ill give you my email, thanks!
Gonna give it a try for sure. I thought I was the only one that didn't like that rubber thingy... I am using a carved gummy eraser to fill the hole but it is now crumbling, literally, and there are gummy pieces everywhere now...
Hi Danny, I am considering an Upgrade to Fanatec, but I have a question about the CSL Pedals, because they are a lot cheaper than the Clubsport ones and I am on a tight budget, but they do have Torsion Springs in the Throttle and Clutch, and previously I had a set of Thrustmaster pedals that had Torsion springs, and they were endlessly snapping. So my question is, have you ever expirienced the Springs braking in the CSL Pedals?
Hey man - I would be very very surprised if you had the same issue with the CSL pedals! I haven't heard of anyone having that issue yet, either, so I think you should be good
heya, i live in the uk. Is the shipping of the wooden sticks still available? If yes i’d like one, and we can discuss the price / shipping fees in private! thanks
It'd be tough to jimmy back into place, you'll end up wishing you just undid the bolt - simple enough. I've tried jimmying it back into place without the wood core and it was annoying...
@@hanfo420 nah not needed anymore it whas new ant stiff not its been used and its getting soft meaby to soft over time and i will add that wooden thing to stiffen it up agen
This won't be any good for the clutch pedal as that doesn't have any foam blocks or wedges to speak of - there ARE mods out there for this pedal set, though!
You can buy one off me if you cannot be bothered doing it yourself or don't want to buy dowel/a handsaw, that's all. You're free (and encouraged) to DIY, I literally show you how!
What I find most impressive is your ability to draw this out to over 3 minutes. Big ups.
You gotta be yanking me chain, that's brisk around here!
No I reckon he’s right, this vid could have literally been 30 seconds long
@@gazdavies3727 yeah, but RUclips doesn't recommend very short videos most often unless it's literal shorts
@@dannyleeracing Here's me hoping for a minimum of 4 minutes 🤪... good vid a great idea , will try this when my pedals arrive

Some timestamps:

Forbidden Breadsticks: 1:40
thank you for the idea, there's a lot of options for filling that hole

Good idea! Can you share the file for 3d printing?
Thanks for the tip and the video explanation. You're the man! I also loved the little guy at 00:39
Cheers! I had to fill the brief lull with something...
I haven't watched your channel for too long.
Keep up the great videos!
Simple, easy to install and works. Good stuff. Reminds me of modifying the logitech pedals by using an eraser.
I was actually thinking that the same thing could be done with an eraser or just plain ol' rubber for a softer feel in case the wood was too much
It has made a nice difference to mine. Thanks buddy, awesome
Awesome, thanks!
I 3D printed a piece that fits your meassurements.
Works great.
Thank you! :)
You clever cookie

I used a piece of 3/8 automotive heater hose , fit perfectly inside the hole on the stock foam , much more consistent feeling
I've heard of people using a Cheesestring, too
Tempted to try this. Thank you very much! :)
Ah, KISS - Keep it stupid simple!. Will try this mod when I get my pedals :) good idea.
Good idea. I'm gonna try a peice of cork from a cheap wine
Gonna give it a try for sure. I thought I was the only one that didn't like that rubber thingy... I am using a carved gummy eraser to fill the hole but it is now crumbling, literally, and there are gummy pieces everywhere now...
great job and simple trick without the cost .
I'll get this done as soon as they come in the mail nice thinking bro
Have you done it?
@@vinigobbi worked like a charm
Great low cost idea. Couldn’t find the link to drop you a few quid for one
first thing i did when i received the peddlas. Its a shame that the out of the shelf option is so uncustomizable
There was guy on reddit who did a similar mod with a m8 nut
Thanks very much 👍🏽
Hey man, thanks for the content!! I'll try this with mine. Do you think 15mm works too? Cant find 14mm.

@@dannyleeracing ok, thank you for your help!
Is it possible to adjust the brake sensitivity of the standart CSL pedals after the mod?
Genius. Still want load cells but what a fix for less than £4

I don’t have a rig can I use it on the floor ?
Can I bye the dowel, Danny ?
Interesting thanks. do you have to unscrew the brake or can you just... jimmy it in?

@@dannyleeracing I have since tried and I concur!
I am an exceptionally lazy Brit. Order put in, thank you.
Here I came to this video finding the break pedal too stiff instead of too soft 😂
same you found a solution?
just cut out a bigger hole then, save the foam to put back in if you want to reverse it
@@hanfo420 nah not needed anymore it whas new ant stiff not its been used and its getting soft meaby to soft over time and i will add that wooden thing to stiffen it up agen
Still waiting on my set up but what do you think about doing this mod as a clutch pedal? I also have the Load Cell on order.
This won't be any good for the clutch pedal as that doesn't have any foam blocks or wedges to speak of - there ARE mods out there for this pedal set, though!
Fanatec is always refusing support and repair. So no need to worry about. Also, if you are new to the hobby, avoid Fanatec completely.
I'm gonna ask my metal workshop teacher if I/he could make me a aluminium or brass piece
Why not just get LC pedal its not that expensive
cause 2$ is a lot cheaper than 130
Appreciate the effort, but a bit pricey for a tiny cut of wood
