Thank you. My mother in law used to make these every Christmas. She passed away and we have the recipe but it didn’t turn out as good last year. I think I didn’t keep it light and uncompressed. I think these tips will bring a sentimental treat this year. Thank you!
Merry Christmas! 🎄
For those who ask about grated cheese, did you know it’s coated with cornstarch to keep it from sticking together? You will never get the same results substituting it for fresh grated cheese in any recipe.
I love your teaching methods and your voice is amazing. You should read audiobooks ❤️
Thanks for watching and commenting! 🙂👍
I’ve made these for years but……. Your recipe isn’t new but …. Your technique made a huge difference in taste and texture. Thanks for your video.
Glad to hear from you. You're right, sausage balls have been around for a long time. The technique is the trick to making them better. Thanks for commenting!
I watched several videos and chose yours to make. I have never had these and they were wonderful! Some of my guests who requested these said they were the best they ever had. Thank you!
Wonderful! Thanks for commenting!
Very good! Thank you for writing the ingredients and instructions under the video. I surely appreciate this extra work you do.😀
Thanks for watching!
Oh my those look so good.
Thank you for this video! This recipe takes me back! My Grandmother used to make these on special occasions.
Wonderful memories! Thanks for watching.
Nice simple recipe! I've been looking for a good recipe like my Grandmother used to make. We lost it when she passed. Anyway we will be trying these this year!
Thank you for sharing yours! Merry Christmas!
Hope you like them. Merry Christmas! 🎄
Don't use pre-shreaded cheese. It is coated with stuff to keep it separated and it will not melt as well. More work, more cleanup, but worth it.
Yes, so true!
Thx! New info.
Agree. I never use preshredded cheese. Grating your own is so much better in recipes and usually cheaper too. I like determining the cheese in recipes according to the size grate I use.
Thank you! I had no idea
I wish I had read this sooner. No going back to the store now. 😞
This is a great recipe with good tips too. The milk helps soften it which keeps it from being too dry. Thanks for a great presentation !
Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍
I really enjoyed your instruction! Im making these for the first time today to take to a family dinner and im super excited that I learned your light and airy trick! I know they are gonna be wonderful 👏 thanks Ken 😊
Enjoy!
I have been doing my sausage balls all wrong all of these years. Lol Thank you for the tips regarding the looseness of kneading and the added milk. I am also going to start grating my own cheese.
Wonderful! Enjoy!
These turned out perfect. Thank you for helping me understand the proper way to assemble these. Love your channel!!
Glad to help!
I'm her husband and I agree, the sausage balls were awesome. Just needs to make em for me more often🤣🤣👍
I’ll try again this year. You make it look so easy. Wish me luck. Thanks for your videos . Love your videos for two.
Enjoy!
Ken, thanks for sharing your secrets of making these delicious sausage balls! We’ll remember you every time we make and enjoy them! We wish you and your family a merry Christmas! 🎄 liz
I'm pleased to be of help! Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁
My mother makes these and I love them! She makes a very simple dip to go with them by simply combining a little mayo & mustard (proportions to your own taste).
That sounds good.
We use sweet Baby Ray's honey mustard
Another great video. Can’t wait to try making some. I hope you & your family have a Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! 🎄
Thank you for sharing your tips! I have made A LOT of sausage balls, and your method is SPOT ON! I sometimes add a sprinkle of dried herbs or chili flakes depending on my mood. Or a sprinkle of parmesan cheese as well. You can't go wrong with sausage balls--except if you don't follow your mixing advice! : )
Thanks for watching and commenting! 🙂
This was the most helpful sausage cheese ball recipe I’ve seen so far! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! Please share the video!
Thanks for the how to trick to make it wonderful. Thanks, Jo Ann from Mississippi
Thanks for watching!
Oh sweet yum!! Those must be so, so delicious!! My tummy is growling. Thank you for showing me how to make these.
God bless you and have a blessed and Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas! 🎄
Delicious!
I can tell you are a "no fuss muss" type of person. I enjoyed this video very much. It was broken down simplified, very easy with your instructions. I look forward to making these as shown, remembering "to keep it light, not condensed" Thank you for sharing - they look delicious! Hope you are having a Happy New Year~
Glad it was helpful! Happy New Year!
Mr. Click, I’ve been making sausage cheese balls for more years than I care to count. I tried your method and exact ingredients tonight (no airbake pan, though) with excellent results. Thank you for sharing your recipe and technique. Grating your own cheese makes a huge difference. Also the higher temperature (I usually use 350). May I respectfully point out that the Bisquik packet is 7.5 oz and not 8.5 oz. All the best to you and yours. Guess whose recipe I’ll be using on Christmas? 😊
Yes, 7.5 oz is right, thanks for pointing that out. I'm glad you like the way they turned out. Merry Christmas! 🙂
You know what?? A pound of coffee doesn’t weigh a pound anymore, either! It varies according to the smaller containers the manufacturers choose. Not fair,is it? When my doctor want to know my weight, I’ll take this into consideration! Ken, I hope you know we all love you ❤ and wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS! 🎄Liz
I grew up in TN where is was a must for any social gathering! Now, I’ll use your recipe to share with some folks in El Paso, TX! They’ve never heard of sausage balls here!
Wonderful!
THANK YOU for this recipe and demonstration. Using some pre-measured ingredients is the only way I have time to cook anything. I dislike cutting up sausage, so getting the even patties already cut and assembled is perfect for me. I will make these WAY more than Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Great! Enjoy!
Thank you soooo much.... def my favorite recipe!!!!!
Thanks.
Wow you explain things so well. These look great. Cant wait to try them this season. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe. Merry Christmas! Stay safe & God bless!
Hope you enjoy them! Merry Christmas!
A friend of my in-laws taught me how to make these. She fried her's in cast iron. I appreciate you sharing a baking version.
I've never had them fried... thanks for commenting! 🙂
Ken Click maybI ask where you obtained the adorable red cup tablespoon measure? Does it come in a set? Thank you
Ha! Well it's actually from a children's play tea set that we've had for years. 🙂
You did a great job hopefully I'll become a rockstar when I show up at the party with some of these appreciate the video
Enjoy!
thanks for posting gonna try cooking them for our Christmas party tonight
Wonderful! Enjoy! Merry Christmas...🎄
Thanks for the baking tip . I make these with Seasoned (sage) sausage and add a little pepperoni sometimes. I also buy grated cheese bc I'm lazy ! My family loves these!
Thanks for watching!
I will be using sage sausage in my recipe today.
After bit research😉(cannot buy bisquick readily in 🇬🇧 ) managed make substitute the recipe was delish and sure to become a family favourite thanks again for your time in sharing 👋
I'm glad you found a way. It's basically a plain scone mix I believe. 🙂
That little milk cup is adorable!
It comes in handy... 🙂
Hi Alligax 👋 I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. If you don’t mind can we be friends? if Yes Thanks God bless you….
Never seen anything looking so delicious. I really like the sausages that are in pastry sausage rolls but these look a lot better. A nice Homestyle Comfort recipe. I am making brunch this year for Boxing Day and these just got added to my menu. I can't wait to try them, thank you for the recipe and showing us how to make them. It was very descriptive. Merry Christmas or happy holidays to your family from ours.
Great! Merry Christmas to you too!
Definitely the best recipe I’ve seen yet!
Wow, thank you!
Can't wait to try these! 😋
Enjoy!
Another great teaching technique you have bestowed upon us. Thank you kindly.
My pleasure!
I am a new subscriber and look forward to watching your videos. Trying this recipe for sure. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
Welcome to the channel! Merry Christmas!
I could not be more with you in that I only make these during the holidays, Cracker Barrel sharp is unquestionably the best cheese that’s readily available, and I never used pre-graded cheese, for it has anti-clumping agents that change the texture once they’re cooked. I like a little kick, so I usually add crushed red pepper and chopped Spring onion to mine. These freeze incredible well and can go straight from the freezer to the oven, and my favorite condiment to have with these is raspberry jam or homemade apple butter, for it’s a great sweet and savory combination.
Sounds good! Thanks for the tip about freezing. We always eat them all the same day! 🙂
Ken, we made these last night. Honestly, after trying other recipes, my family agreed that This is the Best recipe and process we've found! You have found the secret- good job! Thank you.
That's great to hear! 🙂
@@KenClick how can I order the pans you used? Where did you find them?
There is a link in the description box for the "Air Bake" pan. @@user-fn6hr3wp2i
If your oven doesn't overcook the bottoms of what you bake you don't need an air bake pan. My oven was acting up. I've had it serviced and do not need the air bake pan now.@@user-fn6hr3wp2i
@@KenClick ok thanks
yummy. will definitely try
🙂👍
Looks absolutely delish Mr Click. Thanks for sharing
✅🙂
Good stuff, thank you!
✅🙂
I love these. I've also added 1/4 cup of fresh chopped parsley at Christmas for color.
✅🙂
Thank You for the recipe. ❤❤❤
You're welcome!
That looks amazing!😍
Thanks! 🎄
Just crumble sausage before you put it in.
Yes, either way the point is the same.
Looks yummy! 😋😋 Thank you for sharing your recipe. Now please pass the sausage balls! 🤣🤣🤣 - ❤️👍😊🇨🇦
Ha! You're welcome. Thanks for watching...🙂
I am skeptical about my ability to copy your technique. I’ve made delicious, yet very dense, sausage balls for many years now. It will be interesting to see just how light and airy I can make them this time. Thanks so much for your fine demonstration.
Thanks for watching. I'm sure yours will be great!
I love sausage cheese balls, thank you for your video you are very kind
Thanks for watching and commenting!
They look great! Thank you.
You're welcome. Thanks for watching. 🙂
I pooped in the mixture nooone knew they loved it i called it my poop balls. Lol
My step grandma made these... really good... This was a big treat. People try it, you don't know what you are missing...
Agree!
These look very yummy and light
Yes, good eating!
Never made these before but I have eaten them and they are delicious! I am going to try your recipe bc you make it look so simple, quick & easy to make. Thanks for sharing Mr. Ken! Happy Hoidays!🎄
They are good... and easy to make. Enjoy! 🙂👍
Instead of bisquick try the red lobster biscuit mix i then melt butter and use the seasoning packet and brush the sausage balls once they are done
@@kirbyconway2573 Thanks! I will give them a try as well. I love Red Lobster biscuits.
Man. My favorite snack!! For sure a holiday tradition. Wish my family would make ‘em all year round. Maybe I’ll get the ingredients and cook some- oh well thanksgiving is soon anyway!
They are so good!
I’ve never eaten sausage & cheese balls. They look very easy to make.
✅🙂
I was thinking of making this recipe last year but never ended up making them i think they would make a very good appitiser❤
I make them every year. We love them!
Another keeper 😋 thanks
🙂👍
Laws these look good❤
I've never had these before but they sure do look good.
We like them around our house... 🙂
Those look so good. Great job. I like Tennessee pride sausage in mine☺️👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Anytime👍Your a great cook and imma watch all of them.
made these about 20 minutes ago, I think 1 1/2 cup of biscuit mix is a bit much, mine were rather dry while baking as no oil came out of them but perhaps I used leaner sausage. I'll go for 1 1/4 cups of mix next time. they taste great and feel free to season how you like, I'm adding minced onion next time!
Yes, the sausage can very greatly. It's best to stick the the same brand as you make adjustments and make a note of it in your final recipe. 🙂
i added extra seasonings and a bit of oil and the milk hope that works for you
The recipe I use is ONE sausage roll, two cups cheese, and 3/4 cups Bisquick. If you want to double the recipe, THEN it's two sausage rolls, 4 cups cheese, and 1.5 cups of Bisquick.
Omg I'm New To Your Channel Tfs They Look So Good!
Thanks for watching! 🙂
Dude, you showed me something. I’ve wasted so much time working them. These look outstanding
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Mmmmm they look so good
Thanks!
I will be making these tonight.
Great!
Ken, they look delicious and I'm sure taste even better than they look. Have A Wonderful Blessed Christmas🎄 You And Your Family..
Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas! 🎄
Those look delicious 😋
✅🙂
Delicious.👍
Thanks!
We make them every Christmas and everyone loves them
🙂👍
Looks awesome, for Christmas I'm smoking brisket points and pork belly burnt ends
Sounds good! Merry Christmas!
If I had seen this video before trying it, it would have answered my questions....Mine were too compressed and too brown on the bottom. I also didn't use any liquid. The recipe I used called for two cups of bisquick. It was too much and realized your portion is better. They were still a hit. I think I will make a stuffing nextime and mix with sausage and cheese! Can I have an AMEN! great video!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
OK... Now I know, why I've been making golf balls. lol.. just in time for New year.. Thank you for sharing.
LOL golf balls 👍💜
Now, I'm STARVING!!!
They are good!
Look great
Thanks!
I have never, ever had a sausage ball. In our region, sauerkraut balls are served during the holidays. I think I'm going to give these a test run. Thanks!
Yes, do. Let me know how you like them...
Had a couple of girls over for cards this afternoon, Ken, and I made these. Wonderful!! Served two dips alongside: Apple butter thinned with a splash of cider, and a spicy mustard. So easy and no leftovers LOL. Thank you for sharing!!
@@shellyrae9281 That's great. Glad they liked them...🙂
nice and simple recipe
Yes, thanks! 👍
Thank you master Ken
Thanks for watching!
12/18/2019 -- i'm making a test batch to be certain I do it right. Then I'll make a batch for my nextdoor neighbors. Thank you @Ken Click, and Merry Christmas!
Enjoy!
Strange I just now found this. I have been making these for many years using the exact same ingredients save one. Instead of the milk, I use a decent helping of Philadelphia Cream Cheese. Great video!
Thanks for watching! Happy New Year!
@@KenClick Happy New Year sir! Thanks for the inspirations!!
No one:
RUclips: SAUSAGE BALLS
Thank: You: For watching! 🙂
People love the sausage balls I make. Hot Purnell's, biscuit and cheese. I've told them for years the secret is to not roll them, just pinch off some and put it on the pan. No two look alike! The fluffy is the key, glad I found someone else that agrees!! :) Another trick I like, let the sausage come to room temp first, makes it easier to mix.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I’m going to try yours, they look better than any I have found on Y T, thank you …
They are very good! Enjoy!
Yum
I like making these with spaghetti once in a while. They go very well together. 😁
Thanks for watching!
Mine are always fabulous!

I will be making these for game night
Enjoy!
Never thought about adding milk. Im trying it next time.
Enjoy!
I made this this morning and added green onions and cooked it in a bundt pan
Sounds good!
Exellent tips Ken I will definately be trying this. I always squeezed my balls to tight and will use a ice cream scoop next time tks .Merry Christmas they look awesome thanks for sharring.

Ken, I could go for these for breakfast right now! What’s your background - are you trained in cooking or a natural, experienced home cook? TFS MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I'm a home cook... Merry Christmas!
Let me add my two cents sir!.......it also helps to let the sausage come to almost room temperature before you start mixing. I like your method. I'm going to try to keep them less tight this year.
And btw I think you need to check your oven temperature with another thermostat. I think yours is reading high. Mine was reading low so 350 was about 415. I'm thinking yours is the off the other way. Anywho....thanks! ✌❤
Thanks... Like I say all the time, every oven is different and you have to learn the quirks of the one you have. Thanks for watching.
@@KenClick hello! Yeah the verdict came out tonight! I do think the keeping them lightly together did help.
Next time I'm backing off of the powder amount of the recipe I use. Still.....they where a hit!
Nice advice brother! ✌❤
Oh!!!!! And I know you basically said "each oven is it's own". And yeah, but this year I made mine smaller like you do. I am certainly convinced now that your oven is reading high. I'm sure of it. Yours would of been slap burned up if it was reading correctly. The oven temperature gauges that you put in the oven are easy to find and not expensive. And I'm guessing since you run a RUclips channel that I'm preaching to the choir so to speak. On my oven it was very simple to fix the problem. I just had to pull the temp knob off....loosen two set screws and calibrate accordingly. But......you got yours figured out your way so to each his own I guess.
Keep it up! I've enjoyed the videos of yours I've watched.
So.......new years.....I have a Thanksgiving ham bone in the freezer waiting!!!!! Black eyed peas! I'm going slow cooker......thoughts?
@@hightowerone Ovens are different also. Convection & conventional. 👌
Great video
Thank you!
These are amazing. Were did you get you little measuring cups?
