Ingredients:
1 box Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix with seasoning packet
1 lb hot or mild sausage
8 oz sharp cheddar cheese
8 oz cheddar jack cheese
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Using an electric mixer is easier. Combine well. Using a small scoop or a one tablespoon spoon measure out sausage balls and roll a small amount of the sausage mixture into a ball. Place on a baking sheet. Bake 20-25 minutes. Serve with your favorite condiment.
These also freeze well and reheat when needed. - Хобби
I roll them into balls, flash freeze them raw and put 12 to 14 balls in quart freezer bags….when I’m ready to eat them, I put them in air fryer @ 350 for 8-10 mins….they come out perfect every time
Thank you so much. I will definitely do that. I will put them together Friday. Freeze them and cook them Sunday. Reheat them Monday. Bless you. Merry Christmas. 🎄🙏🏻
What a great idea
Great idea! Thank you!Do you thaw before putting in air fryer?
I mix 1/2 C. mayonnaise and 1/4 C. mustard together, and serve them with my sausage balls. Deeeeelicious!
Now that sound delish
I never thought of using the red lobster biscuit mix for this. I love it. ❤
Your kitchen is soooo festive and pretty Karen. My family LOVES these things. Thanks for the tips to make it easier Karen. Sending love and hugs to you and your sweet family.

I think mom used Bisquick before the 9:53 red lobster mixture was available
Really enjoy all of your beautiful decorations.
I have these Christmas morning with different syrups.
Oh my. I've been looking for a good recipe like this one. Thank you.
I never heard of, or tried, sausage balls until I moved to East Tennessee. Yours look super delicious!!! Thanks for sharing.
I’m using marinara sauce, and making some meatball sub sandwiches for dinner… on some crusty sourdough rolls 😋. Thank you for the terrific jumping off spot, you’ve got my creative juices flowing! Maybe with half beef and half sausage, some melted provolone the options are endless!!!f
I love cheddar bay sausage balls...yummy 😋
Oh, these sound delicious. Karen, your holiday decorations are so pretty, and you look so beautiful in red❤
I was browsing YT for superbowl appetizer ideas and this video popped up. Well let me tell you. I just got finished making these, and they are delicious!!! I know my husband sure is happy! I did add a little extra garlic powder and paprika (maybe a tsp of each). I got about 50 balls. I made jezebel dipping sauce, and I think the combination is great, but really the sausage balls are so good they don’t even need anything! This is a definite keeper.
Thanks Karen! I’ve subscribed. 🤗
Thank you. Welcome to our family ❤️
Merry Christmas to you and Pop Jones. Watching your videos from the good ole state of NC. Sometimes my 95 year old mom watches with me.

Karen I think you would be a good friend. You are so nice. And they look great
Love your shirt!
I put a bit of baking mix on my counter top the put the sausage down and flatten it out. Then put the amounts of baking mix and cheese on top and then roll it all into a log. Then start hand kneading it til mixed. Works pretty quick and just use a dough scraper to clean the gunk off my countertop before cleaning it. I find this way better than my Kitchen Aide stand mixer.
I want to make these. My daughter is gluten intolerant and so is her little boy ❤
Looks delicious. I might try adding the mustard to the sausage along with some onion soup mix and maybe some worcestersire sauce and mix that together before adding the other ingredients for xtra flavour. I will definitely try these though. Thanks!
Oh, let me know how that turns out. Sounds amazing. 😋😋😋
😋 yummy
Made sausage balls for years even using straight flour. These sound very tasty. Thanks for sharing.
Hi there. How much flour did you use?
I used the box of Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit. Mix. Recipe in description box under video. They are delicious 😋
I just for the first time found your channel and I was interested in the recipe, so I watched. I went ahead and subbed because I liked your presentation of this recipe. You need more than 33k subs. That's another reason I did.
Thank you so much. Welcome to our family ❤️
Ms. Karen - first time seeing your videos - Thanks for sharing - I’ll make these for Christmas- Merry Christmas from Houston
Thank you. Welcome to our family ❤️
I’m definitely going to make these for my police department in my town , they will love them …..

Merry Christmas from TX
These are delicious homemade Karen. I think I’ll make them as a surprise for my daughter in law for Christmas breakfast. She loves these. I wonder if you can air fry them… I’ll have to check that out.
Great watching you and Stephanie this morning. Will make Stephanie’s fruitcake cookies too. Love ya bunches.❤

Janicenally made a comment here after yours about air frying, you may want to take a look at her comment, something about 350degrees and she flash froze I believe before air frying 14 at a time.
Good Luck and Merry Christmas .
@@bkm2797 Thank you 🙏🏻
ladysmith3578,
My pleasure, hope it helped!

@luwanablankenship4108 thank you. Merry Christmas to you and your family. ❤️
I haven't tried this yet, but I've seen a recipe mixing apple jelly with a little mustard (or however much you want) for the dipping sauce.
I use the cheddar bay biscuit mix when making my sausage balls, apple jelly with a little mustard is a great dipping sauce😊
@@Wannasue09 Good to know. I couldn't imagine that wouldn't be delicious with sausage balls.
That sounds very interesting. 😋❤️
@@KarenJonesFoodFamily It does. I'm going to give it a try.
I bet those would be delicious with a sour cream dill dip. I do love sausage biscuits with mustard. How do you reheat them after freezing?
Yummy.yummy.its.goin.to.be.good.❤

I use almond flour..cheddar cheese, a little hot sauce..made 2 pounds a few days ago. I love mustard or honey mustard for a dip.
Yumm ❤️
@@KarenJonesFoodFamilyI can’t eat traditional flour anymore..on keto since 2021.
Hi Karen! Your video popped up on my timeline and I had to take a look. Well, as a northerner I’d never heard of these until I saw your video. I just got an order from Walmart and I’ll be making these on Christmas Eve. Do you have any suggestions on dips for these? I like your idea of mustard, but maybe I could make a couple for my family to choose from. Can’t wait to see how mine turn out. Merry Christmas to you and yours! 💚❤️ -Meghan (NY)
Thank's Karen!, This recipe looks great for Christmas morning but I was wondering how long do you keep them in the oven and at what temperature? Thanks again ❤
350 bake 20-25 minutes. Or freeze, thaw and bake.
Is that a tall tree in the background. Whatever it is it looks absolutely beautiful
I think they sell the Biscuit mix at Costco.
I tried making these with the recipe that I googled. I couldn't even get the ingredients to mix in my mixer. Your recipe looks doable.
It will look dry but they roll up beautifully 😍
Karen, I am going to make these for my family. We are just going to do knic knaxs also. I disn't send out Christmas cards this year, I apologize. We received news that my husband has esophageal cancer. He was losing weight toward end of summer. Then he couldn't swallow food, well long story short, biopsy came back positive for cancer. We see Oncologists in January and go from there. Do you think it will be okay to serve different little foods? I feel so sorry that he cannot eat, hasn't in 7 weeks. We are so down. ........MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU, POPS and your FAMILY🙏🎄🥁🎻❤️🎅🎄🔔
Absolutely serve different little foods. We do. I will most certainly keep your husband and you in my prayers. We have an awesome God, so we'll believe he is going to be completely healed. 🙏🙏❤️❤️
I have got to get to the store so I can make these!!
P.s. where did you get your metal measuring spoons??
Merry Christmas
These are delicious 😋. Check out my Amazon store for the measuring spoons.

Thank you!! 🎄🎄
Is it even he holidays without Sausage Balls? 😊
Not at all and especially with Swaggertys, the best.
I saw a recipe using sausage, palmetto pimento cheese, and cheddar bay mix. Have you tried that one?
I haven't tried it but I'm sure it will ne delicious 😋
Could anyone suggest a substitute for the biscuit mix,as i haven't seen anything like it in the UK.Thank you.
Google “Homemade Bisquick Mix” and “Homemade Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix.” They’re easy to make and you can use them for Sausage Balls and in other recipes. Cheers!
Hi Karen that look so good can I use something else instead of sausage meat hope to hear from you thank you
I've never tried a different meat nut I bet you can use any ground meat.
Karen could you put an egg into the mixture to help it hold together? I'm thinking it wouldn't hurt a thing!
It wouldn't hurt I'm sure but the balls rolled together beautifully. ❤️😋
I just made these. They taste great! Thank you for sharing this recipe and Merry Christmas 🎄
