- I am so excited to share my Uncle Mark's Sausage ball recipe with you! It is so good, y'all are going to love them! I can't wait to see you recreate them and tag me on Instagram!
Ingredients:
1 package of Jimmy Dean's Hot sausage
1 block sharp cheddar
1/2 block Cheddar
1 & 3/4 cup of bisquick
Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Just wanted you to know, this is my new, one and only sauage ball recipe now! And I've been making them for 30+years. Your uncle is absolutely right about the measurements! I adjusted the bisquick, and cheese to his recommendations and the balls are always perfect now! 😍

I would’ve never considered flipping them! That’s a marvelous trick! And using a bit less Bisquick and BLOCK cheese (NOT the pre grated kind)…to make them slightly meatier…that’s another marvelous trick! Thank you! Think I’ll make these tomorrow!
Just stumbled upon this video. I know it's an older one but it made me laugh and cry. At 57 I grew up with no aunts or uncles and what a blessing to have someone so wonderful in your life. Had to laugh when he said "No spare parts" in the bowl. Thanks for a great start to a Monday.
Well im here to say that i was on you tube looking for this recipe. and the best way to make these. i looked at three and stopped here. ill look no further. please tell your uncle i love the way he is so into these. and the care he takes in making them. im gonna use his recipe. and if they are good , then it will be my secret recipe for my family as well..lol..

If you haven’t already, you should try these with stuffing! I made them at a Friendsgiving recently and they were all gobbled up! Just a box of Stove Top (cooked), 1 lb of Breakfast sausage (uncooked) and 3 cups of cheddar cheese, mix all and roll into a ball, pop in the oven at 350 for 20 minutes and enjoy :)

Love it! I have just started making sausage balls and I turn mine over, too. I do the same with pigs in a blanket. My brother had some sausage balls before and he said they were terrible and we figured out it was pre-shredded cheese. Gonna try using less cheese and Bisquick like your uncle does! I can tell he knows what he's talking about!!!

I’ll have to try this way. We’ve always used 1 pound of breakfast sausage, fried, 1 pound of sharp cheddar cheese, melted in a double boiler. Add both to 3 cups of Bisquick baking mix. Mix well, and roll into balls a little bigger than a walnut. Bake at 350° until golden brown. I’ve seen other recipes that do not fry the sausage or melt the cheese, which makes it easier. But that was my recipe.

Well In wish I had watched this one first. It is 1 AM Christmas morning.
We had some that I made, froze and took to my daughter’s. Oh digs everything wrong but it was mud first time. These are probably the most produced on You Tube. Used Red Lobster mix, Judy Dean sausage but the store was out of the 🥵 hot. Didn’t shred the cheese. They were lack luster.
I now gave your recipe saved & will try & see the difference next time. Thank you and a blessed Christmas 2023
