A tip for mixing-I warm (not melt) the cheese in my microwave. Tis releases a bit of oil which helps the mix come together much more easily. I have been using this recipe for 30 years. It’s always a hit. Thx for posting.

@@bluefeatherhomestead I don't hear the name Willa that much but have heard "Willa Dean"! Of course there was a author named Willa Cather. Loved reading your nice comment!!
These were a huge hit every year growing up> but haven't had since Mom made them for superbowl parties. We 3 kids ate as many as were put out for guests! ~Delicious~ Varied mild sausage & sometimes blended w hot & one year made a batch that someone requested, w added pinch of red pepper flakes! 💥🔥🥵
Ohhhh... I love that!! 😆 yes, I enjoy those hot ones too. My grandmother made some when we were younger for a road trip, a LONG road trip. She had them sit in the back window to stay warm. A lot of us got sick, and she wondered if that was the cause. Bless her heart. It probably wasn't that at all. She made the best sausage balls. 😋

@karintolbert7452 My pleasure. Fantastic! I just read a comment before yours that said she had added an egg to hers and also mixed it with her dough hook on the mixer. (I have never added an egg to mine) I may try that the next time that I make them. 🥰😍 Enjoy your company and your sausage balls. 😋

Great tips Sharon, thank you! I have never used either of those in my sausage balls. I have thought of using sr flour but hadn't done it. Does it make them fluffier? I am going to try both! Thank you.
Looks good. Is that pork sausage or beef? I have tons of both. I bet it would be good either way. I'll finally be able to use some of that Bisquick I set back years ago.
Hahaha.. Right?! That Bisquick tends to sit there a minute doesn't it? It is pork. I like using the hot sausage. I have never tried beef but I think I will now! Thanks for the idea! 😁

I hope this helps. 😊
Hi Kevin. I don't really have a recipe for it. I used fresh apples that were gifted to me & pork and beans (on the video) but if you'd rather not do it that way then you can use a can of baked beans (bigger-standard size) and a can of apple pie filling. Mix those and bake uncovered at 350 until hot and bubbly. They are so delicious. I hope this helps. Hoping you have a great wknd and let me know if you have any more questions.
