What pistons did you use? The stock pistons are shyte. Valves always hit them

@@enigma_motorsport thank you! Did you have to use different conrods with these pistons or do the stock ones fit without modification? What conrods can I use as a replacement part?
The size of the pistons is standard, but we changed the cylinder bushing. This one has low compression and is used for the turbo project
@@enigma_motorsport okay. So I shouldn't use the Mazda ZM pistons? I am trying to do an engine rebuild after a catastrophic engine failure. Not trying to modify performance but I would like as many new parts as possible without breaking the bank. Thank you in advance for any information you can provide me. With.

Alright, from all your previous answers, I am at a loss.
Please, could you answer my two questions.
1. Can I use the Mazda ZM piston in a stock TU5JP4 engine with no modifications? Yes or No?
2. Do you know of a replacement conrod that can be used in a stock TU5JP4 engine? All I can find are forged conrods.
This is a simple daily driver car for my wife that I am trying to repair without breaking the bank. There are no plans for a turbo application.

No you can not use zm piston whiteout modification.forged piston are expensive.you can use nfu piston
